Hi NoGood! I am building WhatNot / Tiktok Shop for Nostr so that streamers can have a shop and sell products from their live stream.
The streamer is working nicely @nprofile…k3d2 and your stream looks great.
In a couple of weeks I start on the shop. The vision is for users to be able to watch a live and click to purchase from a store which appears right there in the stream viewer.
E.g. The footage of your book comes up, the user clicks to buy.
Would you be interested to sell things this way?
If you have ideas about what you would need to make it work for you, I may be able to build this to suit.

My plan with shosho is to fully implement the zapstream API so that users can top up from my client. Possibly NWC so it just draws down as required.
Currently have quite a lot of their APi implemented. Just didn't get payments into the MVP.

Use of NFC tags for making a local knowledge repository is super cool idea and doable. Each NFC tag could load a specific profile or chat group or whatever you like for people to contribute knowledge to the stack.
You can use Nostr as backend and separate from the online social media presence while still being internet connected.
The idea would be to set up a private relay (e.g. with SW2) with some keys defined to read and write, then to use Jumble to view and post to ONLY that relay.
Whole flow could look like
User tap NFC tag
Opens a Jumble URL that is a npub or event for knowledge on that particular site
It queries your private relay and brings down whatever notes are saved there
User can read those notes
User can post new note back to your private relay
No one on Nostr need ever know or see these notes, and users need not see any other Nostr content, only your private relay content.
Optionally could fork Jumble to strip back and streamline it even further for the task.
@nprofile…l3vp is super responsive too and would probably take feedback on an awesome use case like this.

Another pattern for #followpacks – add yourself or others to a pack, or open up your pack for others to add great npubs to it.
This n8n workflow creates a form that accepts an npub, and then adds the new npub to the follow pack.
Later on, we can add some AI curation or spam filtering if needed.

Would kind 30000 work?
You can use any list as a feed in Amethyst. Publish any kind 30000 note e.g. with listr.lol and then select it from the feeds dropdown.
I also use kind 30000 for specific applications in n8n, e.g. push notify me if anyone on this list posts a note (etc)

I might suggest viewing your Haven logs as you should see a log if notes are received, or trying wss rather than ws, or trying a reverse proxy.

Yes, it seems your Haven is running and available on localhost. So, then the question is, can your client (wherever it is running) access that localhost?
Ordinarily your client is not running on the same machine as your relay and so cannot access localhost, rather needs an IP address of some kind.

I am not familiar with Portainer or Tailscale, apologies. What I would suggest is to test that your relay is able to accept websocket connections at all prior to using with a client.
I have a section here where I am setting up a relay with auth, and test the connection with wscat.

Two ways
1. Your AI agent needs tools, MCP gives them tools they can use, but by default the AI can only use tools that it has access to locally. Gzuuus, DBTH and others have shipped DVMCP which means that any AI can use any DVM tool served over Nostr as a data vending machine.
E.g. "Hey AI, go to Nostr and find a tool that allows me to interact with xyz service, then use it." the AI will use Nostr to find the tool it needs, and then use the tool over Nostr, even if it's not installed.
2. Your AI agent can do Nostr stuff like send batch zaps or emotes etc.

That's not exclusively a zap stream problem mind you.
Was chatting with a guy who uses whatnot to break baseball cards on live stream. He says the key to being a good streamer is to provide good entertainment and audience engagement.
Pushing the video is just the start, seeing and responding to chat etc are all critical for him.

As I understand @nprofile…tak6 the app is for viewers of the stream, not for the streamer themselves.
To start a stream I add zap.stream rtmp and streamkey to my broadcast app, and it makes that part easy.
And I can use any broadcast app, like prism or larix or whatever, so long as it can push to rtmp.
BUT, if you as a viewer message me on zap.stream (or zap me, or whatever), my broadcast app doesn't show me this. To see it, I will have to run and watch a second completey separate device in order to see my audience chat.

Been looking at streaming.
Streamer broadcast apps (e.g. prism, larix, etc) are dumb pipes that push video from a phone or other device to a server for their viewers.
But streamers don't just want to output video, they want to see and respond to live chat.
No open source streamer apps provide this. Only centralised apps do (e.g. the twitch app provides this but only for twitch chat).
If only there was an open source chat standard that could be integrated into streamer broadcast apps.
Streamers go out of their way to configure their setup, so managing keys would be little extra work.
Viewers can be anon or transient and don't need to know their live chat is riding Nostr rails.
Sovereign streaming seems very aligned to Nostr ethos.

How I would read this is I would compare the curvature of the purple line (latest cohort) vs the curvature of the other lines, and try to infer what the retention curve is likely to look like for the cohort once complete.

Just discovered WhatNot. Watched stream after stream of people breaking and bidding collectibles.
Seems uniquely fitted to a clone on Nostr rails. Livestream plus chat plus marketplace with zaps payments
(tiny AOVs would makes zaps significantly cheaper than ccard).
US$5bn valuation, $3bn GMV in 2024. Juice seems to be worth the squeeze.

How far did you get with this?
I have been using Nostr plugin for Obsidian but
1. Image upload is now broken. Articles still publish just without any image, and I have to upload them separately.
2. "d" tag is a random string, but many clients use this as a URL, so ideally I would use keywords or a string derived from the title.
3. Two-way sync between Nostr and the vault would be a killer feature.

And as a user, I'm going to select to use certain relays based on some reason. I am forced to be selective, as there is no global state.
And as I'm selecting, on what basis am I selecting?
I'm selecting on the basis of where my people will see and post notes. I need a word for this concept, so let's say "community".
