This reminds me of something I heard: "I want to know who's lying to me" vs "I want to be lied to without knowing." Matrix red blue pill I guess.
Only issue is their ability to create smoke and mirrors is on another level. All those layers of greed and money gives them the ability to get away with muder, allegedly...Boeing, OpenAI, or by using the "law."
Funny the word "allegedly" has to be used because many are worried about being sued into dust since they have the money to keep that in court until one is bankrupt.

Thanks for sharing. These "tastebuds" are valuable as a whole, but there are times when a few need to be prioritized.
To that point, you may be interested in Schwartz's Theory of Basic Human Values as there seems to be a lot of empirical support, is designed to account for cultural and environmental influences, and can shift in response to changing life circumstances.
Haidt's theory focuses on innate moral foundations, which do not easily adapt to changes and may not account for cultural and contextual differences.
While I believe we are foundationally "programmed," in a sense, we have the ability to change who we are and our perspective. To change, perhaps a philosophical approach, like virtue ethics, is best suited to guide us to be deprogrammed or to live a life worth living.

Then, they're fake progressives without empathy. And yeah, in-groups all over the world get priority, but having true empathy allows you to see the out-group with empathy. It may even help you pass laws that help them even if they voted against you.

Good views on both sides that lead one to wonder if intention is more important than the action.
Do current actions not matter as long as your intentions are pure, and perhaps focusing on using the system to change the future is the focus? What if more people are lost in this path with pure intentions? Maybe at the end they may be found after ghe intention is accomplished?

0-3 years old is so important!
One of the facts that hit me hard relevant to this:
"Children’s academic successes at ages 9 and 10 can be attributed to the amount of talk they hear from birth through age 3. Young children who are exposed to certain early language and literacy experiences also prove to be good readers later on in life."
4th grade is huge in education (age 9/10). And for it to be directly attributed to actions take during ages 0-3 is major!

I was referring to other post that had luck with timing.
As for me, I was lucky to be born on one piece of land over another. Lucky to have parents. Lucky to have had positive influences. Lucky to have moved from an apartment in a terrible neighborhood to a house in a decent neighborhood. Lucky that my parents had people to help them navigate that move as they didn't know the system. And lucky in so many other ways. 🫂
