Playing out the scenario, i receive cashu tokens, i swap em out by issuing an invoice to the mint from my own LN node. Its an extra step, but my node hasnt disappeared or become less central to the experience or ability to self custody.
imo thinking of cashu as a custodial replacement for LN is an error in framing. theres no such thing as a cashu node, for one.

weirdest take, cashu depends fully on lightning. You can (and should) auto convert on receive and send. you wont even notice, and neither will your recipient, and youll both use LN to do it!

In the spirit of working in the open, ive started building Nostrpkgs https://github.com/jurraca/nostrpkgs , basically nixpkgs for Nostr stuff.
Beyond getting a set of packages defined in one place for all to use, i think getting a declarative config for relays would make it infinitely easier to stand one up. We want a ton of relays, so we have to make it easy to set one up.
Lots to do but itll be fun promise 😉. Hit up the repo with requests or ideas. cheers 🫡

The term "AI" is misleading and annoying.
Imo, LLMs unfuck two main things: interfaces and search.
1) Interfaces: we go from 'forms' type interfaces to chat/voice as our way of dealing with computers. Huge, barely scratching the surface of what this will change.
2) Search: we go from pagerank indexing to deep learning over tokens. Google already ded. Any text is searchable, queryable.
None of this makes an artificial mind. I doubt proper AI will come from LLMs personally, but we have enough breakthroughs here to reinvent large parts of our relationship with machines and data, and thats enough for me 🤙

the "death of censorship" is a bit much, the platform can and does control the reach of posts. Gaza stuff getting throttled hard for example. The platform remains at the mercy of a central authority.
Nostr removes the mechanism of censorship by a central authority, so its a good platform to build on.
Moving to Threads/Bluesky is trading one master for another. Normies want that and we dont.
