So even if bairisch (Bavarian German), Swiss German and Austrian are spoken at much higher average altitudes, they would not be called hochdeutsch. Most people would point you to the region around Hannover where local dialect/accent is almost negligible, thus people from there are said to be speaking &#34;native&#34; hochdeutsch.
