My beans are drying out a bit and the tips of the sorghum are brown, but there are a few that don&#39;t mind it at all. The purslane, after being attacked by a parasite, has rebounded great and this basil plant is going strong. It wants to bolt really bad though so I had to pull off some tips after this picture. I&#39;m building the soil in this little area by putting rotting wood, different types of mulch, and I&#39;ve been collecting different soil from my area and adding it into the mix. I have only foraged them one time and they tasted kinda like asparagus, but I think they were better. As far as edibility, I have heard of ostrich fern and bracken fern being eaten, but I&#39;m not sure how to identify them. Ferns have spores so you could probably identify them with a microscope. Then I was planning on putting that whole pile of compost in with it.<br/><br/>Next time I will be doing a much bigger burn. I am trying to decide on the technique. I have a 55 gallon drum that is about 3/4 full mesquite, palo verde, pine, ironwood, etc, cut into nice sized pieces ready for use in my next burn. <br/><br/>What have you all used and what gave you the best results? In windows you can go to the file properties and delete it, but save a copy for yourself because when you have that personal, specific information about the photo, I believe you could use that to give considerable evidence that the photo is in fact yours, if that is something you would be interested in protecting.<br/><br/>Just a random thought while I remove metadata from my photos that maybe not everyone who would want to know that, does, so hopefully that helps someone. We are planting a few more sunflower seeds around the yard today and working on the &#34;3rd bedroom&#34; which part of which will be used to grow things like lettuce and microgreens. Currently we just have some sorghum, cow pea, maybe some okra, wildflowers and one sunflower grown from seed as soon as we moved in. We didn&#39;t have much time or resources to start building the soil before it gets too hot, here in the Sonoran Desert.
