Finally, more and more journalists are writing/saying what #Trump 's drivel is: dangerous, unreliable nonsense from a guy trapped in his megalomania and cult-like delusions, who doesn't belong in office but in court or at least to a private nursing home on a Golf course with high-security fence to prevent breakouts.

Many left Mastodon after a test phase reporting they had bad experiences with people telling them on the very first day how they have to behave or write their posts.
I like the Fediverse like you, it's my centre. But for reaching masses (important for activists), it's too niche.

I'm more the type of person who says to myself: I can't disturb the researchers now, they are so busy. But I have often had positive experiences with authors of papers, where I was able to ask questions if I didn't quite understand something or had problems classifying it.

Unfortunately, many colleagues lack a minimum of social skills. Saying thank you is the bare minimum. And when a scientist explains something directly, it is easy to quote them by name.

I don't know in which country you live. Where I live (rural eastern France), you can wear what you want, also on a bicycle. You can organise a feast with neighbours: people with money cook and bring something for all. You can visit swap events.
