Of course. :) Of course the MAP flag is more recognized than the AAM flag. That's okay. Many projects might require one, others will require the other. Even the word "require" is probably too strong. Doing any particular project where the artist or designer builds a color scheme around either flag or any flag isn't "required" at all.

I know that if/when I do stuff, though, I'll likely often let either flag, depending on the project, inform my color choices.

They are both color models that humans and now AIs use to generate artificial color in our world. They are two most common and very likely, the two that 99% or more of all visual art generated by the "secret Pro-C group" will use. A color model is like a recipe for creating color by mixing other more fundamental colors.

CMYK is reflective. To see it and to perceive the mixture of the ink or color values, there needs to be a light source other than the color values themselves. Basically, CMYK is "printed" on a substrate, usually paper.

RGB, on the other hand, is emissive. It IS light. It's colored light. RGB is what your monitors are shining at you. The topmost band of the AAM/AAY flag is R121 G000 B096 for example. At least that's what it is when I sample the ref image that I collected yesterday or the day before.

If I were to print that flag, I'd ask photoshop to do a color conversion to CMYK and I'd get: C055 M100 Y031 C018. My desktop printer (or a print shop's 4color press) would mix the inks according to the recipe to get the color. :)

There are other color models that get used in various ways but RGB and CMYK are, by far, the two most common.

As an aside, all color models approximate the colors that a human eye/visual cortex can perceive but none of them can do them all. They're color "gamuts" are limited. "Gamut" or "color gamut" is a technical term which you can google if you want. :)

As for your pic in particular, Talia, it's good but not great. Why do I say this?

I can see the pattern and the basic colors. I can use this pic as a ref to do my own internet searching and get something useful.

It's not good because what a design group will need is accurate "true" colors so we can derive real RGB and CMYK values from it. This pic has a bunch of simulated light and shadow baked into it which is artistically fine but not what I need as a ref. :)

I'm into that "secret" Pro-C design group even though I've been too wrapped up in my own stuff and lazy to send you the PM/DM that you asked for as a application to join.

But I'll say this for now as a contribution. Everyone in that group outta be watching movie trailers and analyzing them all the time with as much clarity and intellectually honest critique as they can. Movie trailers are highly condensed and focused attempts to change/influence minds to consume content that was really fucking expense to create. The people doing those trailers are brutal serious about what they're doing. When they fail, the group ought to try their best to understand why. LIkewise, when they succeed, the group needs to understand why.

There is no world where this won't make the group's art and design more effective.

When one starts trying to use really creative and "exotic" materials for one's posters, those posters leave the realm of mass production and become art pieces for long term decoration or galleries or whatever.

MAP and Youth-lib political art//propaganda, for now, should be designed for the web and, once in a while, for print using retail level home devices ie: desktop printers. So, like, probably 11x17 is as big as you can get. Nothing else is practical or cost-effective in terms of money, time, and labor at this point in history.

Two things: First, although I was addressing myself to the pediverse vs. MAPWorld as a whole (addressing MAPWorld as a whole may never be possible although, I expect that "reach" will increase over time) even within the pedi, the vast majority of its "citizens" or denizens are more broad in their views than I am. I'm pretty much only a MAP. I'm not a zoo, I'm not a necro, I'm not interested in insects, I'm not into poop, I'm not a furry, I'm not even gay or bi which, atp, would be totally pedestrian to be. I'm a minority within a minority! Lol. :)

In any case, you don't have to worry, the vast majority of pedi people who read my initial post were able to easily translate what I said to paras or "sexual deviants" in general.

Second, in my initial post, I literally said that, like the LGBTQ movement, we will never have the numbers. We will have to inflate our numbers with allies. I said that very thing.

For what it's worth, though, although I don't think MAPness can be someone's identity in whole, I DO think that our world is doing its level best to reduce and essentialize MAPs to their MAPness alone. Everything else that might be interesting about a person or value about their conduct or politics or whatever is irrelevant. All that matters is their attraction to children and that is damning.

MAPness as identity is more THEIR idea than it is ours.

1. A social media application or site that is set up specifically to encourage offline meet-ups and association and isn’t about porn in any way. When we start getting together offline, everything good starts happening.

2. A news aggregator that never posts “bad” news for MAPs unless said bad news is either of HUGE importance OR, the editorial and curating staff of the site have definitely positive things to say about how the negative news can be used by MAPs to their benefit.

3. An application that helps MAPs to coordinate online to support a MAP in need who’s being threatened or canceled, etc. The antis form online lynch mobs to gang up on MAPs and to firehose them down with hatred and cursing and banning attempts, etc. There’s no reason why MAPWorld shouldn’t be able to respond in kind when the situation calls for it.

4. A network of storage units maintained by MAP orgs in big metro areas (or any other area that a given MAP team or org or group deems it necessary. These storage units would be for MAPs that find themselves homeless to keep their stuff while they’re trying to get things sorted out.

5. Housing owned by MAPs, for MAPs.

6. A treasury maintaining MAP org that supports MAPs who have bad legal expenses and engages in lawfare against the normies.

You're totally right that I'm making an assumption. I'm hoping with all my heart....

....which brings me to this post, which will probably a long dull Gavin-style post wherein I will explain myself and use language as anodyne as I can and then show myself the door. It is not my purpose to attack, defend, or engage in any other sort of debate-ish activity. I wish only to be understood. If I'm sympathized with by people, so much the better, but if not, that's okay to; what will be will be.

I accept that there are some innate differences between men and women that come from biology, not many, but some. We have structural stuff, skeleton, muscles, etc. And we have normal-range hormonal and chemistry stuff which probably usually affects how we feel about our lives in the moment. Because and thoughts are in a feedback loop with each other, this also means that women will think a bit differently than men, second by second.....

...and that's pretty much it as far as I know and as far as I desperately hope. I have made two "gender essentialist" style comments that I believe are generally true although not absolutely true. I don't WANT to live in a world where it goes much further than that. I don't WANT to live in a world where anyone can possibly decide that because I am male, that there's something in me that is inherently dangerous or bad or flawed because if there is, my size and strength makes me inherently dangerous and flawed.

The normies have already destroyed my life because they caught me with cp and know I'm a MAP. They already believe that I can't be anything but a terrible predator, worse than a murderer or a nazi. If it turns out that science shows that I'm something alien to women, something that widens the gulf between myself and women, that's not just repugnant to me, it's also terrifying insofar as it lengthens the odds that I'll ever be seen as good again. I call it my work, but I rarely make any money. I masturbate a lot and love porn. These are two things that I do that fall outside of the rest of my daily existence. Bio maintence, (eating, sleeping, etc) also falls outside of what I'm all about, now.

What I'm really about, ever day (including holidays), year after year, from waking, to sleep, is trying to survive and to work toward a day where I can provide MATERIAL assistance to competent and productive elements in MAPWorld to make our cause stronger.

Why am I one of the only pedi citizens that ever talks about crypto in a positive way? Because, at its best, crypto was designed to move social and economic power to the people. This is populist and everything thinks that's just a polite word for "fascist," but there's left populism as well. There's also liberal populism. Crypto, at its best, is a technology that erodes and weakens the centralized power of the many to enforce norms and conceptions of social reality on the few. Weakened hegemony might mean deathcamps and pogroms for MAPs OR it might mean tremendous opportunity for MAPs. To speak figuratively, the cracks and gaps in "the system" become wider, maybe WAY wider which gives lots of room for the few and the weak to flourish when they couldn't before.

Crypto at its worst, is a giant hyperfinancialized gym sock for greedy social parasites to have a circle jerk with and squirt their jizz into. And this is why I'm not just an occasional poster about Ethereum regenerative solarpunk techno-hippy shit, but have ALSO been teaching myself how to trade the markets. I understand that the amassing of wealth will go far to protect me in the short term while increasing my odds of working "the system" to become good again in the longer term. Furthermore, while I'm doing this, I can also, as I said, provide material assistance to teams of MAPs who have their shit together and are actually doing stuff. MEDAL and Bt+ are both examples of orgs that I would strongly consider giving money to if I had a lot of money. B4UACT, insofar as they engage in actual truthseeking science about MAPs is a more established org that I'd also consider. etc. etc.

The books I read. The youtube videos I watch every day, most of the day, the thoughts I think. The long dumb posts I write on pedi....almost all of it is either directly or indirectly about advancing the cause of MAP liberation and dignity because I know without those things, my chances of becoming good again are almost zero.....

...and eventually, I'll die if I can't be good again. Anything that makes my chances of being good again smaller is a temptation to suicide either fast or slow.

This is existential for me. It can be nothing less.

Grooming also happens when a Crown Prince or Princess is being groomed to be King or Queen.

Grooming happens when an assistant coach is being groomed to become head coach.

The term grooming isn't used to describe what happens in the public schools, (they use "teaching" instead) but it's the same.

Parent's groom their kids to set them on life paths the parents see as desirable. Medical school or law school, maybe. STEM, maybe.

Grooming is about "shaping" and prep'ing a "junior" individual by a "senior" individual with the intent to enable that junior to "fit into" a societal or professional niche. There is typically a power differential between the junior and the senior, but said differential need not be abusive.

The reason we MAPs have the word "grooming" weaponized against us is because society and parents are generally sex-negative and/or sex-pessimistic and because they see the socio-political desire on our part for more power, status, and privilege for kids as threatening to their preferred and cherished power differentials: Parent/child, adult/child, State/citizen. If you ask them, though, they won't see it this way, they'll fall back, as we all know, to myths about abuse and the visceral sense of revolting weirdness they feel when they think about us.

I would encourage MAPs to use the term "grooming" way way more often than they do for anything and everything that it applies to. Like chan culture's giant boner for irreverence and "profanity," in their word and image play (their memes) using the word "grooming" a LOT while making sure we use it basically in a correct way, is culture war. It's an attack on the magical power the word has acquired over the last 10-20 years. This is strategy and activism.

I absolutely agree that we need social media tech built BY us FOR us that, (I think) would need to stress/have three qualities:

1. Rugged and robutst///high resistance to censorship and take-downs.

2. Simple in structure so that site admins could easily maintain it AND easily host it using cheap (sub 100 dollars) home servers. Rasberry Pi type computers would be my ideal.

3. Have, encoded into the structure of the tech itself, safeguards against illegal behavior.

My paralink and cartographium.social ideas were both attempts to concept this.

But I'm thinking, at this point, of stuff less ambitious than that sort of thing. I'm thinking of very simple things to begin the work of changing people's minds so that they are ready to believe in and start work on projects like social media platforms or apps that allow MAPs to move money around or find better places to live, etc.

Here's an example of what i mean, I posted this recently, but I'll post again:

"Among Friends" Applet - Concept and Notes:

What would it be?:
Users of the Applet could check it periodically to see how many other users matching their paraphilic prefs and politics are near (within their chosen perimeter) to them. The hope would be that as that number rose, the user's sense of hope and being among friends (even if those friends were anonymous) would rise. Among Friends would exist only as a mental health boost for its users.

How would it work?:
The user would download the applet and install. No email, name, or phone number would be asked for. Questions would be asked, however:
1. The applet would ask for the user to claim a location, probably a zip or postal code. The applet would then "plant the user's marker" at the primary post office for that area.
2. The applet would ask the user to set a "perimeter" of somewhere between 5 and 50 miles or kilometers or whatever. This perimeter would instruct the applet to only query other users within that perimeter.
3. The applet would present a checkbox list of paraphilias. Users could check as many as they wished.

4. The applet would present a 1 - 5 checkbox range suggestive of political stance, 1 being ultra-left and 5 being ultra-right.

These questions would the only ones asked and would be used to create the user's profile and assist the AF applet to correctly determine how many friends were nearby.

When the user queried the applet, it would return a number of friends. That's all it would do, full stop. Users wouldn't have a public profile. The applet would not know anything about the user's sex, gender, race, or creed blah blah. There would be no messaging function. The Among Friends applet could not be used as a social application.

What would the applet cost?:
That would be up to the dev team. I wouldn't recommend more than .25 USD or .25 USD equivalent stablecoin to be used to pay for the distribution platform.

The point of the "Among Friends" idea is to change the belief of MAPs and other paras about how alone they are. Yeah, sure, we get rhetoric in our spaces about how we aren't alone, but Among Friends would, as time passed, ACTUALLY begin to show people a number that rises. It would no longer just be a bunch of casual contacts and peers in places like the pedi running their mouths and trying to make each other smile on days when they feel like dirt. It would SHOW people, over time, that EVEN THOUGH they wouldn't know who their nearby people are, that those people existed and were real and it's not just a few poor souls online talking in the dark.

This sort of thing, this hammering into our thick skulls that we and all of this is actually real, would/could the start of hope.

And the little AF applet would be so small and simple that a single dev could probably build it very quickly. The challenge would be distribution. :)

You're really smart and really great to see in my feed every day, Sofia. When you say you actually honestly want all of us to be happy, I believe you and, I think you might already have skills to start making that happen, to say nothing of what you'll look like in 2-5 years.

I've already said this before, but I'll say it again, because I think it bears repeating.

Where MAPWorld is right now is a place of fear, defeatism, and extreme risk-aversion. Because of this, attempts to even discuss building tech to help us come together offline, to BETTER come together online, and to be happier and healthier are always met immediately with commentary from people about how difficult or overly risky these projects would be.

So, step one for us is to be able to change our fear/hope balance and to start becoming a bit braver and more ambitious. We can't even begin to get serious about community, infrastructure, and wealth until we get to a place where we seriously believe those things are even possible.

You want to help all of us be happy? Start thinking about how to give the people that push in the right direction. What can be said, and what small things could actually maybe DONE to begin to uhhh, to fertilize our mental soil so that we can start growing more hope and belief and less fear. :)
