Most people inherently understand there’s a place for each type of value in terms of risk and storage and liquidity. I see BTC through that lens. Cold storage, hot wallets, ecash, even the ETFs, can all have a place in the overall picture. We can hate what banks have become- but still recognize that forever people have desired a safe (and insured) location to hold their funds. We can’t buy raw milk in stores, but we can enter peer to peer arrangements (private member associations) that protect both parties. When I think back, my on chain footprint used to be higher- getting sub-$50k BTC, building up a bit and moving to cold storage primarily. But now, I have way more BTC interactions- DCA, zaps, paying in BTC when I can. But I have far fewer on chain transactions. If the BTC price moves up 2x or 10x or 100x, I’d personally have WAY fewer on chain moves the higher it goes.
