It's very clumsy and very flawed, but man, there's so much soul here.

I fucking love the harsh contrast mixed media style they use for the villains (and occasionally heroes - as I said - very clumsy).

I really want to try making something in that style, but I'm not sure how you'd do that without filming footage of people in costumes, and that is out of scope for me.

Went into this expecting to like it, and while I didn't hate it, I didn't like it.

Really unfocused movie about a guy who stalks women being excused and rewarded for stalking women. Sure, the police detective calls him a pervert, but the film very much wants us to be on stalker guy's side. At one point he even lies to one of the women to lure her back to where he's living! At no point is the film saying "this guy's actions are bad"!

She's back! For the last time! There are no more movies after this!

I've seen a good few user reviews that say this is like DLC for 2, and yeah it kinda is. It's mostly worse than 2, but there are some little things here and there it does better.

First, the poster. For 2 I questioned "...is that Springsteen?" but we're not even trying here. Doesn't fit the character at all, but tonally it kinda fits, though. We're a far cry from 1.

Uwe Boll you motherfucker, I cannot believe I got Almost Famous'd with a fucking Uwe Boll video game movie. This shit is TWO HOURS FOURTY and we only realised it when we sat down to watch it. The extended cut adds FOURTY extra minutes of In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale (2007). That is too much, man.

And because there exists an extended version, the theatrical version is seemingly wiped from existence.

No I did not re-watch this in preparation for Wicked (2024). I have no intentions of watching Wicked (2024). This is not a bit like Gladiator II (2024).

Saw this as a kid and had little memory of it outside of the munchkin village.

It's hard to really give an opinion on this? Like it's such an overwhelmingly important and influential film, it's extremely ahead of and it's also a fun and enjoyable watch.

Probably the hardest to follow - despite having the least amount of abstract experimental content of all the post Double Down (2005) Breen movies - but I enjoyed it a lot more than Fateful Findings (2013).
