While finding the technical innovation very cool, I can't help thinking that there is a waste of silicon somewhere here. Not only this kind of processor requires a "pre-processor" to compile python on the fly to bytecode (because in the end, it will inevitably be bytecode that will be executed), but the board will require much more memory to store ascii-human-readable python code instead of a compiled bytecode like in traditional micro-controllers. 🤔

I live in Switzerland. This is completely false.
In Switzerland, you have to pay, depending on which canton you are living in :
- Between 3 and 5‰ of the value of what you are holding (considered value on the last day of the year)
- Between 10 and 15% on the gains, or even up to 30% if you become considered a "professional" trader, depending on how many transactions you had on exchanges per year.

One of the transaction arguments was fraudulently changed BEFORE signing, and they simply didn't check what they'd signed before transmitting to the network. 🤦

I think I've seen some really interesting stuff in a nostr-awesome list, but either with far more feature than needed for me, out not enough. What I need:
1. Serve static website with client side routing, etc.
2. Fetch a given npub's content from a main relay and a few others as fallback
3. Parse, list and format the contents in corresponding pages, based on some tags.

There is no doubt that the EU 🇪🇺 needs bold initiatives as the digital sector becomes more and more directly intertwined in governance systems.
I'm pleased to see FOSS initiatives mentioned in this report, as well as a strong focus on infrastructure. However, the importance of the means of exchange and communication, at the protocol level, is largely underestimated.
As the digital tools that will be used to build this new stack are obviously those that exist today, we should first put all our efforts into building the protocols that will change habits and encourage a natural migration when the new tools become available.
Encouraging CBDC 💶 is an extremely negative ❌ point in this report, and even makes me think that the whole initiative has little chance of succeeding, because Europe will not get out of its current ‘organisational’ and economic logic.
Above all, new governance tools are needed. AI is definitely not to be involved in this. Still convinced that DAOs (with a real `D`!) are the future. But sadly, all the narratives revolve around AI at the moment, as evidenced by the fact that it sits at the top of this infographic.

It reminds me of some old attempts at mesh / relayed communication (can't remember the app name) that used Bluetooth.
I think BLE meshing applied to Nostr and ecash has the potential to unlock new societal paradigms !

Totally convinced about this.
This is why I'll continue to work and research systems that could finally allow for true and usable DAOs that work either programmatically, or implicitly by the paradigm that will transport it (protocols).

What an excellent way of combating spam on social networks, and for anyone who's already raised their finger to me about energy consumption, certainly much more efficient than if centralised servers had to run algorithms dedicated to this task.

For me, today will be remembered as the day I left the last two social networks on which I still had accounts, namely Twitter and the useless LinkedIn, which I hadn't used for over 3 years anyway.
From now on, I will never again use a platform where an algorithm decides what I should see and/or read.
