Gilderoy Lockhart is the dancing heartthrob of summer camp. Unfortunately he is both a presumed scoundrel and poor so even though wives throw themselves at him, daughters need not apply! In comes Baby(?) who may or may not be legal who discovers the secret den of the summer camp workers who engage in scoliosis-inducing dance moves - dancing dirtily. Turns out Gilderoy Lockhart is the opposite of what you expect him to be and while Baby learns a lot about the reality of being poor, everyone comes together in the end to acknowledge that kindness is power! <br/><br/>Despite its title and half the movie being dance training montages, I did not find most of the dancing to be that impressive. And despite this movie saying it is supposed to be the summer of 1963, our final dance number is to a track that is decidedly 80s. I am unsure why this choice was made. Once again a film showcases that if you just keep your hands to yourself, you can avoid a good chunk of life&#39;s problems. Nonetheless, we end with a positive message and I&#39;m all about positive messaging.<br/><br/>As a side note, this film has also reminded me why it would be a headache to ever work for a cruise line.
