The issue is that while the use of such words and phrases don&#39;t bother a lot of us, that is because we&#39;ve become desensitized to these phrases that do actually perpetuate the way people react to us. Words do matter and we don&#39;t get to pick and choose when. The issue with people that die on this hill like Jonathan is that some of them (I think Jonathan knows better) seem to think that this is the only approach to helping solve the unemployment issue and the way we&#39;re viewed in general. That&#39;s part of it but a small part. What we really need to do is have some way to introduce ourselves and our skills to major companies, but liability concerns would shoot that down quickly! Normally Linux is hard to get working if you don&#39;t know how to use it to begin with as well as if you also need a Screen Reader and working sound, particularly the working sound part. With a BT Speak Pro, I could potentially learn Linux and set it up myself on, say, my desktop later even if I had to fiddle with sound. It&#39;s kind of disappointing that a $400 difference is software-based, no hardware differences between the two models, but apparently a lot had to be done to get the Desktop version of Linux to work on it.
