routstrd writes every request and every failure to its own log file (~/.routstrd/logs/YYYY-MM-DD.log). That file is the only record a failed request leaves: the daemon stdout carries nothing but [routstrd:start] startup progress, and the usage database is appended only after a completed response, so "why did that fail?" had no answer anywhere the app could show.

DaemonLogTail reads a bounded tail of that directory (newest file last, each file named, the partial first line dropped, an explicit omission marker) and showLogDialog renders it under its own DAEMON LOG header. The directory is inside the app sandbox: the runtime binding maps /root/.routstrd to files/routstr-home, and AttestationWatcher already tails the same file. coco-logs (the far more verbose wallet-engine diagnostics) is deliberately not rendered. Note for review: the copied log can now include wallet amounts, mint URLs and Lightning invoices that the daemon records at info level. The seed is not among them (routstrd logs a mnemonic fingerprint, never the mnemonic), but if Copy should stay wallet-free this section needs the same redaction the daemon stdout gets.

Verification:
- 25 new assertions in android/tests; the currency marker moves 1191 -> 1218 and android/check-currency.sh passes
- android/run-tests.sh: 1246 passed, 1 failed (the pre-existing JDK-17-only BlossomServersTest URL-host case: JDK 20+ rejects a space in a URL host, JDK 17 parses it leniently; CI pins JDK 21, and main shows the same single failure on this JDK)
- the whole app source compiles clean against android.jar (API 36) with JDK 17
- scripts/guard.sh --tree passes

We don't route anyone through questionable providers. The code that routes user request is public, everything is on Nostr. I'm just one of the reviewers of Routstr nodes, you can review them yourself. Users fetch these reviews from Nostr and only route through those nodes. :)

I don't see us as competitors. PPQ should be a Routstr node as well. I just created a dummy event to give you an idea, I'd be great if you create an event like this and sign it from your npub:

I run a PPQ mirror to ensure we have enough supply in the permissionless marketplace.

Yes, the prices are higher now, in the last week or so. That's because the demand is higher than supply. And Juraj (nprofile…4dda) 's node wasn't reachable by older routstrd clients due to model ID mismatch.

Prices are usually much lower than that. Hopefully soon people notice the demand here and spin up new nodes to fill that demand. That's just how markets work :)

"Avoid" on thefux is purely because Nostr relays deleted newer replaceable events. Its the most used node. It was updated day before yesterday.

Your routstrd (client) doesn't automatically pick up any Routstr node from Nostr. They are essentially "enabled" by me right now. You are trusting that a node isn't lying to you, you are trusting that they aren't logging your requests and that they are not doing prompt injection.

You can choose to enable or disable nodes.

But the thing is, even on OpenRouter, there is no guarantee that Kimi K3 is actually Kimi K3 and not Deepseek v4.1.

Hell, even on Anthropic, there is no guarantee that it's actually Fable and not Opus or Sonnet. You can only tell based on people complaining on social media! Like Nostr!

So, what if your client could automatically read from Nostr and choose the providers for you? That's the end goal. That's the only way. Verifying which models are being run inside a GPU is not solved right now (idk if it'll ever be solved). It's all based on trust.

But the assumption is that one of their chips running an image with a specific hash generated a private key using its own entropy that corresponds to the public key which the client encrypts the messages to. 🙃

Except that assumption, our system is as good as it gets. I’d say, better than directly using Tinfoil as you will most likely get the privacy benefits of Cashu. Even if the TEEs are compromised, they at best have a pseudonymous profile of you.

This is what Routstr does right now (from my LLM):
Trust boundaries worth knowing

A few nuances from reading the code:

1. We follow the latest signed release. routstr-sdk does not pin a specific releaseTag or expected codeFingerprint by default. It verifies whatever the verifier says is the latest signed release of tinfoilsh/confidential-model-router. That's a "trust the release process" model, not a hardcoded allow-list.

2. The bundle is assembled by Tinfoil's ATC. The SDK fetches a pre-assembled bundle from https://atc.tinfoil.sh/attestation rather than fetching GitHub/Sigstore/AMD itself. This is safe because every component is independently signed/verified — the ATC is a proxy, not a trust root — but it's still a component in the path.

3. The verified repo is the router, not the model server directly. By default, configRepo is tinfoilsh/confidential-model-router. Downstream model enclaves are covered by Tinfoil's enclave chaining — the router verifies the inference enclave. Our client only directly verifies the first hop.

4. Headers are plaintext to the proxy. EHBP encrypts the JSON body. The auth token, X-Routstr-Model, and other headers are visible to the Routstr proxy. The model id inside the body is stripped to the bare upstream id and encrypted.

5. Dependency supply chain. We trust tinfoil@1.1.6, ehbp@0.2.3, and their transitive deps. The package lock pins them, but the npm registry supply chain is a boundary.

So: yes, routstr-sdk does real Tinfoil attestation — client-side, before token spend, with encryption bound to the attested key. The main trust decisions are "follow latest signed router release" and "trust AMD + GitHub Actions/Sigstore + the Tinfoil npm package."

This and in combination with a commit that went into the last routstr-core release will cause you disruptions despite having a second mint in your Routstrd.

All the LLM files are exactly matching HF's certain commits. If the model is updated after the torrent is built, need to rebuild the torrent. This has two meanings.

Once the torrent is validated by community, nobody can tamper with the files.

One can disable the peers and other web seeds and rely on HF web seeds and independently verify that the LLM files matches HF 100%.
