I think it very much depends on the personality.

A coworker almost killed themselves choking on food recently (felt the blockage, and left the building through a fire exit when the gag reflex started because they didn't want to vomit on the carpet). The door locked behind them and they were all alone when the blockage slipped down and cut off their air supply.

They managed to clear the blockage just as they were losing consciousness, but the close call has been haunting them. Their personality type has them dwelling on what could have been.

It a distinctive difference in personalities who participate in risk taking past times or jobs. They have near misses and close calls regularly, but they don't dwell on them, or even necessarily remember them until someone else reminds them.

I am an advocate of exercising my right to privacy online and in TRW. I avoid photos of me being posted online, and when I do, they have been processed to make them difficult to parse by a machine.

I avoid cross posting content on social platforms to prevent reverse engineering my identity, and I project different personas on different platforms. I even allow my kids to access certain platforms using my accounts just to fuck with the algos. And I will also consume random media for the same reason.

But I still require "papers" to function in society. And I know the government has everything on me. Even my biometric data via public surveillance systems.

I've read the Walmart privacy policy (you should too), and they have my biometric data because I have shopped there in the past.

I worked for a time as a consultant in a security related field. Ten years ago, airport surveillance systems were capable of and were actively collecting iris scans of everyone. The tech they were using could do it from over 20ft away, from an angle almost perpendicular to the eye, and through dark glasses.

I've worked for a time with voice to skull technology. Developing targeted advertising to shoppers that only they could hear, based to collected and inferred information about them personally.

My point is, the very people I wish to keep my personal information from are also the most likely ones to have the most detailed and accurate information about me in spite of my efforts.

Historically (there are multiple instances of fiat currency collapse) is happens very slowly, and then all of a sudden it happens fast. Historical accounts show something like this happens:

Moves are made by the government to prevent the use of alternative forms of payment (black markets). They use preventing criminal activity to sell this to the people.

Withdrawl and then transaction limits are imposed on accounts. Again in the name of preventing criminal activity.

Contagion starts in the inter-bank lending space, where one bank won't lend to another because they don't trust the other bank will be solvent enough to pay back the loan.

Central bank steps in to provide the bridging liquidity. This triggers private investment funds and offshore sovereign wealth funds to start moving capital out of that nation. They have to move slowly in order to keep the system stable while they extract their investments.

Central banks issue more currency to offset the fleeing capital. Government uses nationalization of key assets as a public good to cover the central bank activities.

Foreign investors stop purchasing treasury bonds due to the risk. Bond interest rates rise accordingly. Interest payable on outstanding government debt increases proportionally until it exceeds their ability to make the minimum interest payments. So they default.

No foreign country will export to a defaulting nation because the commodities contracts likely won't be honored.

This hits the real world in the form of things like fuel and food shortages. Banks impose further transactional limits that impact the ability for business to make payroll.

At this point the general public gets uneasy.

The leader of the country almost always goes on live TV / radio and announces everything is just fine and this is a temporary situation.
10 days to 2 weeks later the banks close at the end of day Friday, and don't open for business on the Monday. Internet banking is offline over the weekend.

On Monday the government announces that all physical currency is no longer valid, that a new currency is being issued and people have x weeks to exchange old for new at some ratio that is in the order of 10:1 or even 100:1. All electronic funds automatically adjust.

In countries that have bail-in laws, there is a depositor tax levied on all balances. Between 25 and 50%.

I was 24 when I decided to go to university and start a new line of work. I chose computer science because my friend was doing it and it looked interesting.

Up until my first semester I had never even owned a computer, and I failed my way through high school math.

I graduated and got my first software job when I was the same age as you. I moved quickly through the ranks not just because of my aptitude, but being older, I carried an air of legitimacy and life experience that had more technically experienced coworkers look to me for leadership.

I really started making money when I started my own consulting firm. Nobody asks a 30 year old consultant how many years experience they have. Here is a tricky thing. In a traditional monetary system where dollars are backed by some kind of value, then debasement indeed happens and a symptom of that is inflation.

But we are currently not in a system like that. We have a money /debt equivalence system (money IS debt).

If you "print" more debt and add it to the existing debt, it does not debase the existing debt. Link interest on a loan, it accumulates, but has no effect on the principle.

This is what hangs up the goldbugs for example. How can trillions of dollars be printed and yet we are not in a hyperinflation? They wonder.

Because printing debt does not debase the existing debt. It simply grows until the spell breaks, and confidence/perception collapses. When that happens, it triggers a sovereign default on all existing debt. In this system, the currency is wiped out and a new one is issued.

We are about to watch this happen in the Euro.

If we look at historic cycles and assume the records about them are accurate, we see a pattern of behavior emerge which can be modelled and predicted.

Human nature never changes. It locks in the cycle.

If we look around, it's abundantly clear that we are certainly not in the expansion phase of the cycle. That was last century. So we know we are somewhere after that.

Civilizations peak and sustain for a while after expansion stops. It's not a sine wave type of function. It's more of a phase transition function.

For example, civilizations don't grow, sustain for a brief period, and then steadily decline. They expand rapidly, sustain, and then suddenly collapse. It may take 200 years to expand, but the collapse only takes a decade. The Roman empire is an excellent example, and Martin Armstrong has written tomes on historical examples of the civilization cycle.

The point is, we know it's a cycle, it's not linear, and it's not symmetrical. We cannot halt or reverse the cycle because that would require a fundamental change in human nature. the best we can do is influence the trend, and in this case, engineer a controlled collapse.

It appears this is what the controlling class is attempting to do. The whole Great Economic Reset thing from the WEF is clearly an attempt to navigate the collapse phase so that they retain continuity of power into the next cycle. They are clear it's not a restart, or a reboot, or a reorder. Words are very important. It's a reset, meaning the old is gone forever and is replaced with something entirely new. The language they use in relation to their reset reinforces this. And their goal is 2030.

That is just one globalist plan of many which are addressing a major shift in how humanity exists and functions, and the others have a similar target timeframe.

During my learning, I discovered that it's not the tobacco which is so terrible for you.

Today I spent the day investigating how good AI is at porting old code.

I chose a relatively complex Windows 32 bit application I wrote 20 years ago in Delphi (Object Pascal) that uses an Access database backend.

Porting it to a modern web based architecture.

Doing this by hand would take 9-12 months by my estimate once all the unit testing and other stuff is done.

End of day one. It's not there yet. Still generating source code, but I'm guessing it's about halfway.
