That is incorrect. Lifecycle CO₂ Emissions per unit of power produced of Nuclear, including construction and decommissioning, are comparable to wind, and half that of solar.

When safely stored, nuclear waste poses no threat of contamination. Increased recycling can also dramatically reduce radioactivity.

CO2 and methane emissions are what pose an imminent threat to us, not nuclear waste. Germany's decision to abandon nuclear put back its CO2 reductions significantly.
