The average listener generates 1,000 streams a month—roughly 100 minutes of listening per day. If each listener contributed 9.5 satoshis per stream around 0.01 ( $10 a month), that could change the game.

On Spotify, I average 100,000 streams a month, which at the current royalty rate of $0.0026 per stream only nets me around $260 a month. With Nostr, 100k streams at a penny (9.5 Sats) per stream would be $1,000 a month! No middlemen, more control over the music, and significantly better compensation for creators. This is the future we need—where artists are empowered to thrive.

#nostr
#musicstreaming
#supportartists
#btc 2025-02-01T05:58:00Z https://njump.me/nevent1qqsztfqmywhs3m4dupqa4jug87n7weexhwkvcjc2w8ghmag04txc8xqzyz7504ydcxa9rex76guvtvh2twwjap9t9276lj9a85ec399r67q2wucggfk Revolutionary idea? 💡

We need a #nostr #music streaming service.

A music streaming platform built on Nostr could offer musicians and artists the kind of direct, decentralized control that has been missing from current systems. It’s a raw, unfiltered glimpse into my life in a rugged Central American beach town—documentary-style, no staging, just the truth. I live at the edge of a jungle in a Central American beach town, where the hours are squandered—productively—between books, words, and the sea. I write songs, both for myself and other artists, and record music that is neither commercially acceptable nor culturally obliging. Midnight highway music for anyone who’s loved, lost, and lived hard enough to know the difference.

https://open.spotify.com/track/3v8T8eLB705ZQ10Rc7QVXJ?si=kpBs-2eFTRij1K8EdwDn6g&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A0uctPU0vZnNgqCqQYr2Crn 2025-01-27T23:19:26Z https://njump.me/nevent1qqsywqu2zah57t7996n3fus4kn2u25jhex8a446uycrxc5j76akecdqzyz7504ydcxa9rex76guvtvh2twwjap9t9276lj9a85ec399r67q2wdjfxlc As Nietzsche warned, ‘Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster.’ Which is why I won’t let algorithms dictate my art.
