That intersex woman became pregnant via IVF, then developed that baby for nine months in her body before giving birth. In the case of another intersex woman, it was twins she carried. So, you are saying some exceptional men can become pregnant via IVF and carry a normal pregnancy after that. I don't think any man can be pregnant.

Actually put yourself in the position of a teenager with a female body, raised entirely as a girl, whose teachers learn that she's genetically male. Maybe she slipped up and said something, or the parents did. Some parents keep it form their child but maybe they thought the teachers should know. And now suddenly because of some dogma that says "XY = boy, no matter what" the school begins forcing her to change with the boys. Is that supposed to be "safeguarding"? Forcing a kid with the body of a girl to change with the boys? You're essentially saying "keep it a secret at all cost, or horrible things will happen."

When you call such people "feminine men" you are using word games to justify such cruelty. That's the exact same trick TRAs use. I don't think you actually support that. I think you're probably just ignorant about Swyer syndrome and CAIS and still think these people are like transwomen. I can only say, please actually look this up. Watch some interviews with such people and see for yourself that they're indistinguishable from women. There are a couple on YouTube:

Can a male become pregnant? Can a male have a vagina and otherwise appear indistinguishable to a woman even when naked or when the shape of their skeleton is analyzed?

In terms of sex, I'd say some intersex people are both, or neither, or in-between, or a combination of the two sexes. In other words, when it comes to the terminology, pick your poison.

You can say they're "male" because of their chromosomes, in which case you're saying there exist males who can be pregnant, or you can say they're "female" because they can become pregnant, in which case you're saying there exist females with XY chromosomes, or you can say they're neither/both/whatever...

I think woman/man are also social categories though. Because if such a person has always looked female to everyone, was assumed to be so by everyone, and always saw themselves so as well, then there's no justification for insisting that said person is a man, when it comes to day to day contexts.

For example, forcing such a person to use men's changing rooms etc. would be exactly as cruel as forcing a completely biologically female person into using men's rooms.

I'm still annoyed at people who say things like:

Excluding XY people with Swyer or CAIS from the definition of "woman" seems to be based on ignorance and/or dogmatism. If a person has visibly female anatomy, and in some cases even internal female anatomy to the point that they can sustain a pregnancy (with IVF) then saying they're a "man" is just... Silly, IMO.

There's women who look extremely androgynous or "manly" even with regards to their physique, not style.

Previously it was unclear to me what DSD Khelif has. Now it's come out that Khelif had to start taking T suppressants at some point, meaning it's certainly not Swyer or CAIS. In pretty much every way that actually matters to living in human society, such a person is nearly indistinguishable to a normal woman, and not comparable to a normal man, yet people insist on calling such people "men" now for a political reason.

I have a relative who was so androgynous as a child, I used to genuinely keep forgetting whether she was a girl or a boy. I don't know if she has an intersex condition, but she eventually became a transman and started to post incredibly cringe-inducing performative masculinity on Facebook, imitating the most embarrassingly cliched stereotypes of a Turkish man. It's probably because society fucked her up for "looking like a man."

When I look at Imane Khelif and listen to her speak, I see an androgynous middle eastern woman. I imagine that people constantly calling her a "man" is not exactly doing wonders to her mental health, assuming she's just an intersex person who was considered female at birth and then grew up as a woman and continues to live as one.

Maybe Khelif has a condition that makes her competing against other women unfair, in which case I would understand excluding her from boxing, but to call her a "man" is just straight up cruelty towards a (presumably intersex) woman in my opinion.

No intervention after the embryo transfer from what I can tell. She just had a normal pregnancy, like any other woman who receives an embryo transfer. Had a cesarean though.

Someone like Eden Atwood is indeed unambiguously female, unless you pull out a DNA test or ultrasound screening to check internal organs.

I don't think a CAIS person is going to have male-typical muscle tissue, heart size, lung capacity, etc. since they go through female puberty sans menstruation.

I wonder if there's ever actually been a top athlete who's XY/CAIS. It would be an extraordinary coincidence, since top athletes are a tiny fraction of society, and XY/CAIS people are also a tiny fraction of society, and from my understanding there's nothing about being XY/CAIS that would give the person an edge over women such that they would be any more likely than a random woman to become a top athlete.

I don't think it's sexist to say that a person can be considered a woman if they were born with female external anatomy, such that everybody assumed they were simply a normal girl, and thus they were subjected to all the same treatment other girls are.

Even if they learn in their teens that they're genetically male, it's unlikely to change people's treatment of them much, especially since most people who encounter them in daily life won't know anyway.

In terms of how society views and treats them there's barely a difference between them and a woman who happens to be infertile due to some other issue.

They're born with female genitals, and go through girl-like puberty, but don't begin to menstruate, which is usually the point they'll get a thorough checkup and it'll come out they had XY chromosomes all along.

Worth reading about the Rwandan genocide if you don't know about it. It was only 30 years ago.

This guy's parents probably either fled the genocide itself, or they fled the repercussions they would have to face for taking part in it / being complicit.

Either way, it's not difficult to imagine how it could lead to a fucked up family, and eventually a child filled with hatred for humans and a taste for brutal violence.

The parents should probably be looked into. May have nothing to do with them, but the child having referred to the genocide before makes you think.

The false claims on social media that right-wing lunatics used as justification to start a violent riot were instead claiming that he was an asylum seeker.

(Why did I have to wait for a German news channel to cover the story to get these details? All the U.K. outlets I've checked yesterday didn't include either of these two details. All they said was he's 17, and that some wrong name was being circulated on social media.)

I guess the right-wing nuts needed the asylum-seeker claim to "prove" that they aren't racist. "It's not about him being black! It's about him being an asylum seeker who was let in due to bad laws!!"
