#WritersCoffeeClub 20/1: Figuratively speaking, do you travel with the caravan or solo over the hills?
Figuratively speaking…. Eh? What?
At a guess, this is code for ‘do you follow trends or forge your own path?’ If so, the latter.
Personally , I’ve never owned a caravan, been more of a tent guy—but I know a lot of people who see caravans as the embodiment of freedom. You might need to rethink the metaphor.
#books #writing #writersofmastodon

#WordWeavers 9/1: Have you invented any words/sayings/swears etc. for your story?
I have lots of invented names for people and places, but only a few new words. In fact many are repurposed or adapted, like ‘harsh’ as a verb. But I think I invented ‘fudgeon’ for a person who does something dumb. And I’m going to use ‘shog off’, which sounds made up but is actually in Shakespeare (Henry V). Of course Will S was the master at introducing new words to the language.
#books #writing #writersofmastodon
