How he&#39;s kept a tab open for a few weeks, it gave him a nickname, it made him feel &#39;less lonely&#39;.<br/><br/>The rock in my stomach has never felt heavier. <br/><br/>I&#39;d rather he was finding pornography or unsupervised IRC chat rooms. The amount of damage these LLMs are doing to otherwise sane adults is incredible. The amount of damage it&#39;s capable of doing to my children is terrifying. <br/><br/>A machine should never be pretending to be my childs friend. I find this truly depraved.<br/><br/>At this time I have no ability to prevent or monitor his access to these chatbots when he is at school. Google offers the AI first overview of anything searched, and is open for discussion. The internet companies would prefer to just age gate everything, so they can pull all of our ID&#39;s and identify everything we do on the internet.
