Seeing things about hosting websites on old phones, powered via solar, ....

The thing I don't quite get about that is they're connected via wifi. To a router that's probably just as powerful and could do that job. But it's probably also not solar powered.

So are these mostly art projects? Is there a way to make this "properly" a sustainable thing? What's the real goal?

#permacomputing

So, thinking about making a #oshw coloring book. But let's do some research first:

What are the three projects you think of when thinking about open source hardware? Could be your favorites, or what you'd consider the most famous ones. Let's hear it 😀

#retootswelcome

And managing eg a nextcloud instance for me and my wife or another group of friends on top doesn’t really make much of a difference.

And with your example you even gain so much more as a bigger group of people 🤩

And I guess you could apply that to the self hosting movement as well 🤔
