To be diagnosed neurodivergent you would need a full assessment, which comprises of a full intake, history gathering and psychometric testing. A first session should be building rapport and gathering data, not diagnosing. Neurodivergent is more of an overarching label or term, for autism, adhd etc. sorry to hear your first experience in therapy was like this.
