🗳 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 Congress quietly moves to integrate US and Israeli militaries

✏️ Congress is proposing Section 224 in the 2027 NDAA, which would significantly deepen U.S.-Israel military cooperation through joint R&D, co-production of weapons, and data integration in emerging technologies like AI and cyber. Critics argue this marks a shift from aid to hidden integration, increasing U.S.-Israel military-industrial ties while public trust in Israel declines. With concerns over transparency, accountability, and the use of U.S. weapons in potential human rights violations, Ben Freeman urges Congress to reject the provision.

"At a time when the American public is expressing unprecedented levels of distrust in the Israeli government, Congress just proposed tying the U.S. to the Israeli military more than ever before."

Buried in the House’s 2027 NDAA is Section 224: the “United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative," which would dramatically expand U.S.-Israel military cooperation far beyond the current aid model.

We’re talking bilateral R&D, weapons co-production & deep defense-tech integration. It also names emerging technologies like AI, quantum, autonomous systems, directed energy, cyber, biotech, and more. In other words: the battlefields of the future.

One of the most alarming phrases in the bill: “network integration” and “data fusion.”

Put plainly, the U.S. military’s data could soon be the Israeli military’s data.

That is not normal defense cooperation. That is something much deeper.

The U.S. already gives Israel extraordinary military support.

Israel has received more than $200 billion in inflation-adjusted U.S. military assistance since 1948.

But Section 224 would mark a shift from aid to integration.

That shift matters A LOT.

Traditional military aid is at least somewhat visible and politically accountable.

But moving the relationship into defense acquisition, co-production, and joint tech development risks pushing it further into the shadows.

It would also create powerful new political incentives inside the U.S.

If Israeli defense firms expand co-production facilities here, they can claim to create jobs in congressional districts — and gain more allies in Congress.

That’s how military-industrial influence grows.

We’ve already seen Israeli defense production footprints in places like Mississippi and Arkansas.

Section 224 could turbocharge that model — making the Israeli military-industrial base even more embedded in U.S. politics.

All of this is happening while the American public is increasingly skeptical of unconditional support for Israel.

A recent poll found just 16% of Americans support continuing to supply Israel with weapons without new restrictions.

That disconnect is striking:

The public is asking for more restraint and accountability with Israel.

Congress is proposing deeper, less transparent military integration.

That’s not democracy. That’s the military-industrial complex doing what it does best.

And the timing could not be worse.

Israel has repeatedly used U.S. weapons in Gaza in ways that human rights groups and journalists have linked to violations of international humanitarian law.

This is not the moment to deepen integration with Israel’s military.

Members of Congress concerned about U.S. interests, regional stability, and democratic accountability should act now.

The first step is simple:

Reject Section 224 from the NDAA.

Stop the U.S.-Israel military-industrial merger before it starts.

A peer-reviewed paper published last year in the journal Bioethics by two professors at Western Michigan University School of Medicine argues that it is "morally obligatory" to genetically engineer ticks to spread alpha-gal syndrome, a permanent condition that makes you violently allergic to red meat.

The paper is called "Beneficial Bloodsucking."

Their argument: if eating meat is morally wrong, then preventing the spread of a disease that forces people to stop eating meat is also morally wrong. Scientists should gene-edit lone star ticks to enhance their ability to carry alpha-gal syndrome and expand their range into urban environments to infect more people.

They call this a "moral bioenhancer." They frame releasing genetically modified disease-carrying ticks as a "vaccination" that only "infringes" on your bodily autonomy rather than "violating" it. The distinction, apparently, is that a tick bit you instead of a government official holding you down.

Alpha-gal syndrome is not mild. The CDC estimates up to 450,000 Americans are already affected. Cases have surged 100-fold in the last decade. Symptoms include anaphylaxis. There is no cure.

Alpha-gal cases are exploding across the United States. The lone star tick's range is expanding far beyond its historical territory. And two academics at a medical school published a paper arguing this is a good thing that should be accelerated.

At what point do we stop treating papers like this as fringe academic exercises and start asking whether anyone is already acting on them?

Many people do that around here. You end up spending all your time and energy on maintaining and building out the places. Meanwhile, the cities are turning to shit.

Last weekend I was at my friend's property where he has a small stream that he is getting hydroelectric power from. He wants me to buy some of the land and help him build it out. I may do that on the side, but I intend to stay engaged in the city to stop the browning.

The cost of raising Somalis in our country is hidden, deferred, or not understood. This is why I say the non scarcity is an illusion. Americans are paying the increased debt through higher taxes and inflation which reduces their ability to raise children. Their children will be further burdened which reduces the next generation of child raising. We are also being crowded out of homes and communities by the immigrants. In the more egregious situations, they are miscegenating.

Having grown up in bad poverty and working hard to build wealth, I well understand the hard times build strong men principle. Even if one is a strong man, he may be unable to build good times and a family because of the lack of good community and mates created by the system in which he lives.

Carving out of a new community you describe is important. When we build nice places, the parasites and civilization destroyers want to come in. Our federal system and laws prevent us from excluding them from our towns. The regime is the biggest impediment here. Unless we can change the regime and civil rights laws, we cannot have nice towns.

We live in a world of scarcity, but it is maybe not what you think it is. We live in a world with a scarcity of our children and therefore the future of our people. There is no scarcity of distractions and things to make us comfortable.

Unlike the rats, some of us are able to see the effects of our current system. Most notably, our population is plummeting. More people are beginning to see this campaign of incremental and generally imperceptible genocide. If the masters tried to genocide us quickly like they just did in Gaza, people would revolt. As long as they can make us go extinct comfortably, they succeed in the same outcome over a longer time frame. Many of those who realize what is happening are building parallel economies and going off grid, but they are challenged by living within the territory of a regime bent on their destruction. This makes the situation very different from my Puritan ancestors who came to a whole new land where they could do what they want.

The challenge is getting people to see what is happening and the illusion of a post scarcity world.

But almost half of the world’s supply of sulfur — which is turned into sulfuric acid for the processing of phosphate fertilizer — comes from countries in the Middle East vulnerable to disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.

The effects along the supply chain could start to be “exponential” if the conflict continues for much longer.

That’s bad news for the global food supply, which counts on phosphate to support the growth of everything from soybeans to potatoes. The conflict is already raising concerns over inflation and food security. It’s also the latest threat to US farmers, who were already weathering years of high production costs. Nearly 80% of the US’s phosphorus is applied to its soy and corn fields, which in turn are processed both into livestock feed and fuel.

Even before the conflict, supplies of both phosphate and sulfur were already tight. Sulfur prices had surged to record highs, driven in part by demand from the mining industry, which uses sulfuric acid to extract metals such as copper and nickel. Russian exports have been constrained by the war in Ukraine and an export ban, while China has curbed phosphate shipments to prioritize domestic use.

US policy has added further strain. Duties imposed in 2023 on Moroccan phosphate — still in place — and broader tariffs implemented last year by President Donald Trump have limited imports.

Efforts were made to rebuild inventories, particularly of phosphates, after fertilizer was exempted from some tariffs late last year but the real challenge is on sulfur supplies. The conflict in Israel had already raised sulfur prices so much that some phosphate production had shut down.

Fertilizer producers will be squeezed as competing buyers, particularly mining companies, will be able to pay more, said Faraz Ahmed, a director at Montage Commodities, a trading house based in the United Arab Emirates. The impact to phosphate fertilizer prices could come as soon as April, when India typically steps up purchases for its domestic production — a move that could push the market in “panic mode,” he said.

The situation is intensifying calls in the US for more stability in the markets. Farmers depend on three main families of fertilizer products: nitrogen, phosphate and potash. Only the latter, which is largely sourced from Canada and is applied alongside phosphate to soy crops, is largely insulated from the current global supply shock.

Farm groups are urging the government to suspend duties on fertilizer from Morocco, which holds the world’s largest phosphate rock reserves, arguing that high prices and geopolitical risks have already reduced the need for protectionist measures.

Prosecutors said in a memo to the judge that a private investigator hired by the defense had pretended to be an insurance agent, visited the accuser’s neighborhood and asked questions about her children.

The conduct “crossed ethical lines,” prosecutors said. It also followed a pattern of shame and intimidation tactics employed by the brothers since the first accusations against them were made public in the summer of 2024.

In the end, they faced 10 counts, and were found guilty on every one of them.
