Really? Most days I have to open Gimp about three or four time. I've done this since the days when Gime thew three separate UIs on your screen. For the last 15 years or so, I've been running Gimp in Linux Mint, with absolutely no trouble whatsoever. I've always had kind of a fondness for it.
