To be clear, they are still making AI PCs, i.e., putting sufficient NPU/GPU capacity in them to get that certification. They’ve just learned that it’s not useful and a little counterproductive to front-load it in their marketing. Personally I never hate on extra compute power in a machine, unless using it turns the PC into a cook surface.

I faffed around with LXDE, Cinnamon, and Gnome for a long time. I recently installed KDE on my personal machine, and I think I’ve found my “forever desktop”. I always thought it would be too resource-intensive. However, it performs beautifully.
