Today, this is referred to, among other things, as data management. It also includes simplifying technical jargon to turn information into actionable insights.<br/>Compiling dossiers and conducting research are also part of the job description. <br/>In other words, among other things, what a fact-checker does today—only in a professional capacity.<br/><br/>That makes me a generalist, not a specialist.<br/><br/>My specialization is bringing information together in such a way that it becomes usable.<br/>And that can look completely different depending on the subject area and the user—that is, the target audience. <br/><br/><br/><br/>So I’m no expert in IT or the financial markets. Five years ago, when it came to crypto and Bitcoin, I knew about as much as any ordinary self-employed person—someone torn between family and business, between marketing, fulfilling orders, and bookkeeping.<br/><br/>So I know the situation, the reality of life, and the challenges that come with self-employment. Nein, ich drehe keine Dokumentationsfilme.<br/><br/>Ich bin Experte für den Umgang mit Medien und Informationen.<br/>Ich weiß, wie Massenmedien funktionieren, wem sie gehören, wie man Narrative erzeugt, erkenne Framing und Uminterpretationen von Begriffen und wie dadurch Meinungen erzeugt werden.<br/>Und nebenbei, nein, man wird nicht zum Medienexperten, durch ungehemmten Medienkonsum.<br/><br/>Das umfasst das Finden, Verfügbarmachen, Verifizieren, unwesentliches vom wesentlichen zu filtern, das Gestalten von Informationsflüssen zb in Firmen. Heute nennt man das u.a. Datenmanagment. Die ständige Wiederholung von Narrativen wie „Hodl“ und „Never sell“, während man Informationen über Adoption mit der Lupe suchen muss.<br/><br/>Alleine der Begriff „Adoption“ ist schon irreführend.
