Kindle Edition, 330 pages.<br/><br/>Book description: Extremism expert Cynthia Miller-Idriss that argues misogyny is the central, overlooked driver of mass shootings, far-right terrorism, and violent extremism in the West. Most mass shooters and terrorists are almost always virulent misogynists (often also homophobes/transphobes), yet media and experts barely acknowledge this “bright red thread.”<br/><br/>The author shows how an epidemic of misogyny (online and off) and patriarchal backlash are driving an exponential rise in mass and far-right violence. She also presents a detailed perspective about what can be done to change this.<br/><br/>Some of the incidents and statistics in this book are astounding. Even though I think I&#39;m aware of current events and many of these trends, a pattern is most apparent, and I&#39;m glad I read this book.
