Last chance for Standard LEGO Pick a Brick US orders before 2027

The LEGO Group is about to remove thousands of elements from Pick a Brick in the US, so don’t miss the deadline to place your order – you’ll be waiting until 2027 otherwise…
Every Standard LEGO element at Pick a Brick in the US – which is any not marked with a yellow ‘Bestseller’ label – will be removed from the service on November 2, to allow the LEGO Group to complete migration of those parts to Bestseller status. When that happens, all elements will ship from the Chicago warehouse, which means no more split baskets at Pick a Brick and faster delivery times all round.
The transition is expected to take a few months, however, so you won’t be able to order those elements until well into 2027. If you’ve got any in your bag that you’ve been meaning to pull the trigger on, you’ve only got until the end of play Sunday, November 1 to do so. Head through to Pick a Brick to shop now.
All Bestseller elements will continue to be available, including those that will be added as part of the next update on November 3. Among those are new Classic Space and Castle pieces, although some that are coming to other countries next month won’t be available in the US until December.
Pick a Brick orders count towards gifts-with-purchase, and if you spend $130 at LEGO.com before November 8 you’ll receive 40889 Build, Paint and Play (while stocks last).

Two LEGO Imperial Shuttles make for one near-UCS Imperial Shuttle

Can’t afford the extremely expensive LEGO Star Wars UCS Imperial Shuttle on the aftermarket? Combine two of the latest playset version for the next best thing.
10212 Imperial Shuttle launched in 2010 for £245.99, and today even a used, slightly yellowed copy will set you back in excess of £400 on BrickLink. Want a new and pristine version? You’re talking four figures. Thanks to one prolific LEGO Star Wars builder, though, there’s an alternative – and it will only cost you £280 / $280.
Rebrickable user Codyaner-Bricks has cooked up a bigger and beefier version of this year’s 75459 Imperial Lambda-class Shuttle using just two copies of the official set, which retails for £139.99 / $139.99 / €149.99. This latest take on the iconic white shuttle has its flaws, mostly in the proportions of its dorsal fin, but those are all solved in this supersized rebuild.
And yes, it might not quite match the size of the Ultimate Collector Series version, but it’s pretty close: in flight mode the custom model stands 50cm tall and 55.5cm wide, while 10212 Imperial Shuttle weighs in at 71cm tall (including the display stand) and 56cm wide.
Codyaner-Bricks says he ‘worked with blueprints of the original model’ to figure out the proportions, and while it would apparently need to be around 20 to 30% larger to match true minifigure scale, the builder said on reddit: “Seeing it in my collection it feels like minifigure scale, especially if you see it next to the UCS Falcon.”
75459 Imperial Lambda-class Shuttle is available now from LEGO.com. You could also recoup some of that initial $280 outlay by selling your surplus named minifigures (Din Djarin, Moff Gideon and Dr. Pershing), while buying even just one copy of the LEGO Star Wars set – if you already have one – will qualify for 40889 Build, Paint and Play, which is free with all orders above £115 / $130 / €130 through November 8 (or while stocks last).
Check out our hands-on review of 75459 Imperial Lambda-class Shuttle to see how the base model stacks up, then get the instructions for the doubled-up version on Rebrickable.

More LEGO birdwatching with Mike Sinclair

Anyone remember Mike Sinclair‘s beautiful blue heron, posted at the start of last year? Well, he’s been back down to the pond for some more LEGO bird-watching. This time, he’s spotted a swan, gliding serenely through the reeds and lilypads. That serenity extends to the water, too: the water is like glass, and thanks to some clever LEGO mosaic-making, there’s a nice crisp reflection in the water! It’s the very picture of peace in nature. I can feel my zen improving just by looking at it.

Lumibricks Edinburgh Corner and Detective’s Office out now

Two new Lumibricks sets are now available to order directly from the official site, including the highly-anticipated Edinburgh Corner.
The latest Lumibricks releases build on its Town Life and Cyberpunk Neoncity collections, offering a couple of unique additions to each theme with 15021 Edinburgh Corner and 17018 Detective’s Office respectively. Order yours now via the official Lumibricks website or scroll down for all the details.
15021 Edinburgh Corner
Price: £157 / $208.99 Pieces: 3,178 Minifigures: 4 Lumibricks: View set
Joining previous modular-style buildings including 15017 Train Station and L9085 Brick Art Gallery, 15021 Edinburgh Corner skewers Scottish architecture across more than 3,000 pieces. Sloped stairways, stepped rooflines and a conical tower recall Edinburgh’s famous streets, while a floral shop and studio and pottery workshop and shop fill the interior.
There are 41 unique printed elements in the mix and 15 different lights to bring it all to life, and the interior can be accessed by a combination of lift-away floors and removable walls. In a nod to the flower shop theme, each copy of 15021 Edinburgh Corner also includes a random brick-built bouquet, consisting of either a tulip, rose, sunflower or violet.
17018 Detective’s Office
Price: £136 / $180.99 Pieces: 2,134 Minifigures: 4 Lumibricks: View set
Built around the same concept of removable modules as L9095 Game Stack, 17018 Detective’s Office is situated over three storeys and includes 19 light points (plus two light strips). Packed into its 2,134 pieces are a street café, hacker workshop and back alley, while the interior includes ID cipher, digital forensics and data tracing rooms, all ready for playing detective.
This one squeezes 50 printed pieces into the box, including a giant corner transparent panel, and marries up nicely with other Cyberpunk Neoncity sets thanks to its wireless modular power system (which allows you to power up to four buildings from a single source).
Head to Lumibricks to order either or both new sets now, and keep an eye out for our review of 15021 Edinburgh Corner soon.

The complexity of simplicity

The beautiful simplicity of this traditional Chinese courtyard by akidandabrick is a brilliantly executed topcoat over some truly great LEGO building techniques. Some, such as the Wolverine claws for foliage, are classics that have been executed perfectly, while others like the detailed roofs of the home and wall, or dark grey lining on the round gateway, are new and intriguing.
Each photo is worth poring over to see what details can be spotted hiding in plain sight. For instance, can you spot what piece is used for the large rectangular flowerpot? Hint: watering it has got to be a drain!
New or old, however, the techniques stitch together to create a beautifully rendered piece of architecture, atop an equally lovely stand based on traditional Chinese woodworking.

Ranking every LEGO Marvel Sanctum Sanctorum set so far

From the original Doctor Strange set to a zombified Sanctum Sanctorum, which LEGO version of the iconic Marvel building comes out on top?
Located at 177A Bleecker Street in Manhattan, the Sanctum Sanctorum has become an icon of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since its debut in 2016’s Doctor Strange.
With a unique new mini-modular take on the building arriving in 2027 with 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme, we’ve looked back at the five LEGO sets featuring the Sanctum Sanctorum and ranked them from our lowest-ranked pick to our favourite.
Honourable mention – 67006 The Marvel Skyline
Two Sanctum Sanctorum builds are technically arriving on January 1, 2027, but 67006 The Marvel Skyline earns an honourable mention rather than a definitive sixth-place finish.
Of its 1,261 pieces, only a tiny handful go towards this seriously microscale version of the building. While it looks good at this scale, it can’t compete with the larger playsets further up our list.
5 – 76185 Spider-Man at the Sanctum Workshop
Taking us inside the magical building, 76185 Spider-Man at the Sanctum Workshop arrived in 2021 alongside Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The Sanctum’s basement is fairly basic, but the set makes up for that with Easter eggs and minifigures. Even so, the build feels rather empty, leaving it firmly in fifth place.
4 – 76060 Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum
76060 Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum is a fantastic set, and it only misses out on the top three because of how little of the building it actually recreates.
The minifigures of Doctor Strange, Mordo, and The Ancient One are all impressively detailed, while the set was also fairly well priced at launch. The build itself might not be the busiest, but there’s plenty to appreciate here.
3 – 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme
The newest Sanctum Sanctorum to hit shelves, 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme takes third place on our list. Its minifigures are among its biggest strengths, while the alternate take on the building offers something we haven’t seen in a LEGO set before.
However, the mini-modular design leaves the build feeling a little flat, with a relatively empty interior. The decision not to place it on a corner also feels like a missed opportunity, keeping it just outside our top two.
2 – 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown
Showing just how fantastic the building can look on a corner, 2018’s 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown is easily the best playset version of the Sanctum.
While it might not be as screen-accurate as the new What If…? model, the overall build is more impressive. A bigfig, an iconic concept, and blue and orange blast pieces all help make this a particularly fun set.
1 – 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum
In reality, the gap between first and second place was always going to be huge. 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum blows away the competition to take our number one spot.
This massive 2,708-piece modular building recreates the Sanctum in full, complete with nine minifigures and plenty of details that capture the essence of the iconic Marvel location. It offers a level of scale, detail, and completeness that the other sets simply can’t match.
Sadly, every Sanctum Sanctorum set has now retired, so tracking down some of these builds might prove tricky. However, despite taking third place on our list, 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme is still a great option to pick up when it launches on January 1, 2027. It’s available to pre-order now.

Addressing the painted elephant in the room

Gluing LEGO is generally considered taboo, but what about painting LEGO? Does it even matter if the end result looks this great? Builder lego_smile_leo has a gifted eye for design, specifically in realistic animal models that use the perfect parts to capture the shaping. The only problem is that LEGO hasn’t always produced these parts in the required colors, so this creator takes the artistic process a step further by taking care of it themselves. As an added bonus, this method also gives the finished model a glossy/reflective appearance – making it appear even more unique. Even if you’re a LEGO purist, there’s plenty to appreciate here.

Ninth Panel: A new display case company launched this week

The LEGO display-case market has grown considerably in recent years, with collectors now able to choose from a wide range of attractive, set-specific displays. However, the experience surrounding those products has not always kept pace. Lengthy lead times, uncertain dispatch dates and slow customer service remain common frustrations.
Today, we are delighted to announce a new partnership with Ninth Panel, a founder-led company aiming to raise the standard in these areas, and a limited-time discount for Brickset on its first products.
The company launched earlier this week in the UK with its first two display cases available now and is preparing to begin domestic US fulfilment from its facility in Lakeland, Florida, on 16 November. Its approach combines thoughtful set-specific products with finished stock, prompt customer care and a closer relationship with the collectors buying them.

Majisto’s adventuring days aren’t over yet

While many of us are more accustomed to seeing an older sage Majisto the Wizard, the latest build from Simulterious shows a younger version of everyone’s favorite LEGO wizard on an earlier adventure. There’s some absolutely wonderful brick-built lighting work at play here, using a gradient technique similar to the style seen in The Lord of the Rings Barad-dûr set to make the rock work appear brighter in certain areas. Still, the imposing skeletal dragons are the highlight of this build. Shields, minifigure hands, and sausages in a dragon skeleton build? Sign us up.

The LEGO Group now has its first Head of Celebrity Talent

The LEGO Group has appointed its first Head of Celebrity & Brand First Partnerships as the company continues to partner with famous faces.
Kelsey Gray Sherman has taken on the role at the LEGO Group starting this week. Sherman will be tasked with defining the LEGO Group's approach to celebrity talent, relationships with entertainers and brands and how to go beyond traditional licensing and product collaborations.
The role is described as built to explore who captures our imagination and what makes an impact in culture on Sherman's LinkedIn. The position is under the LEGO Group's Entertainment, Partnerships & Content division, and Sherman has come to the role from the WME Group.
“Kelsey brings deep relationships across the talent and entertainment communities, along with a strong understanding of the LEGO brand,” said Jill Wilfert, the LEGO Group's senior vice president of Entertainment, Partnerships & Content, Variety reports.
“She knows how to bring together the right talent, partners and ideas in ways that feel fresh and authentic, and her experience and instincts will be invaluable as we continue to grow our work in entertainment and culture.”
“Having worked closely with the LEGO Group for many years, I’ve seen first-hand its unique ability to bring together entertainment, experiences and culture," commented Sherman.
"I’m excited to build on that strength through ambitious, distinctive partnerships with exceptional talent and brands. Together, we can create new ways to inspire creativity and play and connect with audiences around the world.”
The LEGO Group has been getting more involved with celebrities and brands in recent years, including Luke Littler, Andy Murray, and a major partnership with Daft Punk. That's not to mention this year's LEGO Editions models, featuring sets such as 43028 Olivia Rodrigo's Vinyl, 43011 Lionel Messi – Football Highlights, and 43014 Scuderia Ferrari HP Charles Leclerc Helmet.

LEGO Botanicals' Happy Plants are ditching flora in 2027 ...

LEGO Botanicals' Happy Plants are ditching flora in 2027

Exclusive printed pieces from LEGO Botanicals' Happy Plants are back in early 2027, ditching the flora to become a pair of shopping bags in a different theme.
After their debut in 2025's 10349 Happy Plants, the recent range of personality-filled potted plants continued earlier this year with 11506 Rocking Plants. 10371 Cosy Plants will carry on this legacy on November 1, but the tale of the Happy Plants doesn't stop there.
One of three LEGO Friends 2027 sets to be revealed, 42719 Heartlake City Shopping Mall, features a couple of familiar printed parts for two shopping bags atop the mall.
The shopping bags feature the yellow smiling face from 10349 Happy Plants, as well as the pink tile from 11506 Rocking Plants.
It's an interesting change in format for the Happy Plants parts, which have previously only been available in LEGO Botanicals. However, they fit the aesthetic and design language of the mall, and there are similar faces printed across stickers. It only proves how versatile these simple designs are.
These parts have been available on Pick a Brick for some time. The printed elements from 10349 Happy Plants are numbered 112320 and 112321, and the pieces from 11506 Rocking Plants are numbered 118563 and 118564. However, their debut in a set beyond LEGO Botanicals is still an interesting move.
It suggests that these simplistic smiling designs are not inherently tied to Botanicals and may appear in other themes where appropriate. We can picture a similar use for shop signs in LEGO City, but it would be great to see more characters surface without the plant context.
42719 Heartlake City Shopping Mall may even open the door to new colours and designs for these faces outside of Botanicals, allowing you to make custom pot characters. That's only speculation on our part, though, and the future of the Happy Plants beyond 10371 Cosy Plants has yet to be confirmed.
42719 Heartlake City Shopping Mall launches at £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 on January 1, 2027, including several mini-dolls, shops and accessories.

LEGO Castle army-building on Pick a Brick is changing soon

Big changes are coming to LEGO Pick a Brick, alongside new Classic Space and Castle additions to the service next month, and they're both good and bad.
The LEGO Group has announced some major shifts coming to Pick a Brick soon for fans worldwide, impacting a variety of new parts landing on the service next week. The light blue Classic Space astronaut and spacebaby, as well as the Black Knights torso, shield and fabric sail, arrive on Pick a Brick in the UK, Europe and other regions on November 3.
With the introduction of such highly-anticipated parts from 11374 Arcade Pinball Machine and 40912 Sea Serpent, changes and limits are necessary to make Pick a Brick more fair. We've got all the details you need to know in our new YouTube video.
The majority of these changes concern item limits on some of the new elements to stop fans from ordering a great number of them. You be able to order 50 Black Knights torsos, for instance.
These limits are said to be temporary, but there has been no confirmed end date. Get caught up with the new changes in our video, and look forward to these updates on Pick a Brick from November 3. You can read our written report by clicking here, too.

Luke Littler throws for LEGO prizes ahead of Netflix debut

Luke Littler has traded darts for LEGO pieces, taking on members of the public in a brick-built challenge ahead of his Netflix debut.
In his hometown of Warrington, the two-time world champion joined fellow LEGO Ambassador and content creator Harriet Fisher to challenge passers-by to a game of darts.
Littler has previously shown off his love of LEGO sets, supporting England during the World Cup build-up by putting together 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy.
In the video, which you can watch below, Littler and Fisher take it in turns to throw darts at a LEGO-themed board, alongside members of the public.
Before stepping up, contestants are asked questions about darts, with those who take part having the chance to walk away with LEGO prizes. These include 60430 Interstellar Spaceship and 10349 Happy Plants.
The challenge comes just before Littler takes centre stage in Netflix's Beat Luke Littler, a live event that will see him face members of the public in a bid to protect a whopping £501,000 prize pot.
The rules are simple: the first challenger to beat the world number one in a single leg of 501 takes home the money, bringing the competition to an immediate end.
It's another example of how Littler's appeal has stretched well beyond the oche. His breakthrough came at the 2023-24 World Darts Championship, where he reached the final aged just 16, capturing the public's imagination and bringing a new wave of attention to the sport.
He has since gone on to become a two-time world champion, and is now taking that profile to Netflix in a show built around his ability to take on just about anyone.
Perhaps a LEGO Darts collection could be next, giving the likes of 43027 Vini Jr. and 43019 Football some sporting competition.

Limited-edition LEGO Christmas display box available now

The perfect LEGO display case for the most iconic duo of Christmas up-scaled minifigures is now available, but it's a very limited edition.
Wicked Brick's newest LEGO set display case is now available, featuring a spot to showcase the older 40820 Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure and the more recent 40875 Up-Scaled Mrs. Claus Minifigure. These two models are practically made for each other and can now be protected from dust in the decorated display case.
Wicked Brick's Christmas display case is out now for £74.99, but is limited to only 250 copies. Each copy is numbered accordingly. The background of the case depicts a cosy log cabin with Christmas decorations and a snowy scene outside.
The box comes complete with a label for each of the up-scaled minifigures and festive embellishments on the front cover. It only gets better, too, since ordering before November 1 will guarantee delivery before Christmas. Wicked Brick's production line means a delivery between 8 and 10 weeks after ordering, so getting in early is key with this display case.
Whether as a gift for someone else or as part of the holiday decor, Wicked Brick's limited-edition Christmas display case is available now.
40820 Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure and 40875 Up-Scaled Mrs. Claus Minifigure are both available now, too, for £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99. We recently reviewed the Christmas duo, which go perfectly together.

How 11383 Mayor Manor looks with 10228 Haunted House

In my review of 11383 Mayor Manor, I mentioned that I was going to be rebuilding my copy of 10228 Haunted House to see what the start of a spooky neighbourhood would look like. 10228 is one of my favourite sets, so I need very little encouragement to put it together (again).
Some of you had mentioned it would be nice to see 11383 alongside 31167 Haunted Mansion. I agree! But I don't have 31167 (because I have 10228!).

After reviewing nearly the full assortment of LEGO City summer 2026 models earlier this year, 60511 Vintage Steam Train quickly became a favourite. The 575-piece train model is part of a selection of more affordable train creations, done by eschewing a full loop of track.
This keeps the price down, and you can buy track separately anyway. 60511 Vintage Steam Train is now even less expensive at Amazon UK, dropped to £57.49 from £79.99.
What do you get in the LEGO Vintage Steam Train for £57.49?
£57.49 is well worth it for everything included in 60511 Vintage Steam Train. The 575-piece set features a locomotive with a tender and a carriage featuring four seats. Couplings allow you to connect them to form a full train, which will pull up to the lengthy platform and its covered waiting area.
Five minifigures can populate the train and platform, forming a complete LEGO train experience. At £79.99, it's already a reasonable price for everything included. At £57.49, it's a deal that is not to be missed whether you own a prior LEGO train or not.
For those who don't own a previous LEGO train model, you can pick up more track as part of 60205 Tracks for £14.39 instead of £17.99 on Amazon right now. Combined with the discounted 60511 Vintage Steam Train, the price is still less than the RRP of the summer 2026 LEGO City set.
As an Amazon associate, Brick Fanatics may earn from qualifying purchases.

This LEGO Ideas set is the smartest freebie of 2026

40889 Build, Paint and Play is an excellent and quite intelligent free LEGO set available for a limited time from LEGO.com.
Available from October 28 through November 8, while stocks last, 40889 Build, Paint and Play is being awarded free with all LEGO.com or LEGO Store purchases of £115 / $130 / €130 or more.
For a relatively low spend threshold, 40889 Build, Paint and Play is a fun tribute to the model-making-and-painting hobby that has always sat adjacent to LEGO. This gift-with-purchase is packed with little nods and details that not only create a truly authentic little build that sits perfectly in and amongst your already cluttered desk of LEGO, but speaks to a true love of the painting hobby that it depicts.
What’s more, this comes with a Classic Space astronaut in that dark turquoise colour (arguably the best colour of that minifigure that we’ve had in recent years), and a Classic Space helmet in light bluish grey. It may be a small thing to a lot of you, but to collectors, this is a long-awaited return of a classic, classic piece from the earliest days of LEGO Castle, that now, in this form, completes the long-awaited Classic Space minifigure in that shade of grey.
All in all, there’s a lot to love and appreciate about what is likely the smartest LEGO gift-with-purchase of the year for all that it offers and packs into 158 pieces. The one downside, if we were to be really picky, is the sticker sheet for the Classic Space logo and classic LEGO head smile – it’s one big sticker rather than genuine individual stickers for each logo and smile.
Had it been the latter that would have opened up a whole lot of extra Classic Space fun. The LEGO Group likely knows that, and would prefer this measured drip-fed control of new and returning Classic Space minifigures, and in the context of this GWP available for a relatively low spend threshold, we can’t complain too much.
40889 Build, Paint and Play is available October 28 through to November 8, while stocks last, being awarded with all LEGO.com and LEGO store purchases of £115 / $130 / €130 or more.
This set was provided for review purposes by the LEGO Group.

LEGO Pick a Brick Castle and Space pieces coming soon – with restrictions

New LEGO Castle and Classic Space pieces are landing on Pick a Brick next week, but they won’t be available everywhere – and they come with restrictions.
The full light blue Classic Space astronaut and spacebaby from 11374 Arcade Pinball Machine, as well as the Black Knights torso, shield and fabric sail, are all arriving on Pick a Brick in the UK, Europe and other regions on November 3. But only the astronaut torso and Black Knights shield will be available in the US at the same time, with delays on the cards for the rest, reports New Elementary.
The light blue Classic Space helmet, light blue spacebaby head and body elements, and Black Knights torso are all expected to debut in the US in December – while the printed fabric sail from 40912 Sea Serpent is apparently not coming to the US at all. The LEGO Group hasn’t provided a specific reason for the disparity, but there may be a connection to the upcoming suspension of ‘Standard’ parts.
The LEGO Group is currently expanding Pick a Brick’s North American warehouse to stock all available elements, which means that from early 2027 every piece will be labelled ‘Bestseller’ and ship from Illinois. While the transition is completed, any parts currently marked ‘Standard’ will be unavailable to order, with Sunday, November 1 the last day to purchase in the US.
In other territories, meanwhile, the LEGO Group is imposing limits on the quantity of the most desirable pieces in a single order, ostensibly to make things fairer for everyone. The light blue Classic Space helmet and torso, light blue spacebaby head and body, and Black Knights torso and shield will be limited to 20 units per person. 40912 Sea Serpent’s fabric sail will be limited to 10 units per person.
All other pieces in November’s Pick a Brick update – of which there are 70 total – will have the usual maximum threshold of 999 pieces in a single order. The quantity limits on the Castle and Space pieces are apparently ‘temporary’.
Other highlights from this update, which pulls from LEGO sets released in July, include printed tiles and trans-light blue panels from 11374 Arcade Pinball Machine, a variety of Technic pieces from 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear, and the windscreen element from 75459 Imperial Lambda-Class Shuttle. Look out for these elements on Pick a Brick from November 3.
The links in this table will be operational from November 3.

Retired LEGO Lion Knights’ Castle elements return to Pick a Brick

The fabric elements from the retired LEGO 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle are available to order again at Pick a Brick in the US, but you’ve only got a few days to take advantage.
The Lion Knights multipack, which includes two flags and a cape, costs $5.09 all in – but it’s marked as a Standard piece rather than a Bestseller, so the window to order them is about to close. On November 2, the LEGO Group will temporarily halt Standard orders in the US while it transitions the rest of its Pick a Brick stock to its Illinois warehouse. This process is expected to take a few months.
You’ll therefore need to get any outstanding orders with Standard pieces in before the end of the day on Sunday, November 1, which is now also the firm deadline for these 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle fabrics. It falls just before new pieces drop from July’s sets, including Classic Space and Castle elements, so you may wind up placing a couple of Pick a Brick orders in quick succession.
Fortunately, there’s a pretty good incentive to do so right now: 40889 Build, Paint and Play is free with all orders above $130 through November 8 (or while stocks last). That’s 26 Lion Knights multipacks for those playing along at home…
Other pieces from 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle, including minifigure shields, are also still available at Pick a Brick and listed as Bestsellers. Browse the full assortment and order your flags and capes while they’re still in stock.

LEGO DC and Marvel sets are getting unexpectedly dark in 2027

The LEGO Group is embracing darker superhero stories in 2027, opening the door to more sets based on some surprisingly mature source material.
January 1, is shaping up to be a big day for LEGO Marvel and LEGO DC, with five sets currently confirmed. Of those, three draw inspiration from source material with surprisingly mature origins, suggesting the LEGO Group may be becoming more comfortable pushing beyond its usual family-friendly territory.
With LEGO DC, the connections are fairly obvious. While 67008 Batman Returns Batmobile & Duck is a relatively typical LEGO Batman release, both 67009 Arkham Batman Batmobile and 67012 The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover take inspiration from darker corners of the Dark Knight's history.
Starting with 67009 Arkham Batman Batmobile, the vehicle is based primarily on the tank-like Batmobile from Batman: Arkham Knight, while drawing inspiration from the wider video game trilogy. The first two games carry PEGI 16 ratings, but Arkham Knight is rated PEGI 18, putting it outside the age range the LEGO Group typically targets.
Interestingly, the set's name doesn't reference Arkham Knight specifically. Instead, it uses the broader Arkham Batman branding, potentially distancing the release from the game's mature reputation while still capitalising on its distinctive vehicle design.
Then there's 67012 The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover, based on Detective Comics #880 from 2011. The artwork is unsettling enough on its own, but the source material goes further. This psychological thriller explores one of Batman's most disturbing adversaries, with a terrifying cover that feels a world away from the Caped Crusader's more family-friendly adventures.
LEGO Marvel's connection is less immediately obvious. While 67006 The Marvel Skyline is about as family-friendly as superhero sets get, 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme draws on considerably darker material.
The set's branding leans into What If…?, but several of its elements connect to Marvel Zombies, including the Red Queen and F.R.I.D.A.Y. minifigures. The animated series features graphic horror and carries a TV-MA rating in the US, making it a surprising source of inspiration for a LEGO Marvel release. As with 67009 Arkham Batman Batmobile, the set doesn't explicitly advertise that connection on its name or box.
Taken together, these sets suggest the LEGO Group is willing to borrow from mature franchises without necessarily marketing the finished products that way. That's an exciting prospect for adult collectors, particularly if it means more characters and stories that have previously seemed unlikely candidates for LEGO sets.
For Marvel, could Deadpool be making a return? If the character features in Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars, a new minifigure might not be as far-fetched as it once seemed. The LEGO Group has now already demonstrated a willingness to reference more mature superhero properties, even if it stops short of fully embracing their original age ratings.
A standalone Punisher set would be another fascinating possibility. Frank Castle's violent world might seem an unlikely fit, but a display model inspired by his iconic skull emblem, or a display set featuring the character, could offer adult collectors something different without needing to recreate the graphic violence of his stories.
I'm even more excited about what this could mean for LEGO DC, particularly as the wider franchise explores darker territory. Clayface could provide an opportunity for a set based on Matt Hagen, while the phenomenal Lanterns series might finally give us new minifigures of Hal Jordan and John Stewart.
The existing Green Lantern Corps minifigures have become expensive on the aftermarket due to the show's success, demonstrating that there's an audience for these characters. Even a relatively simple build inspired by the motel or a crashed car could make for an interesting tie-in.
Of course, none of these possibilities are confirmed, and darker source material doesn't necessarily mean the LEGO Group will adapt it directly. Still, these January releases suggest that the boundaries of LEGO superhero sets may be expanding.
What darker superhero sets would you like to see next? Let us know in the comments below.

My November 2026 LEGO shopping plans: Mixing the old with the new ...

My November 2026 LEGO shopping plans: Mixing the old with the new

There’s a small but mighty list of LEGO sets releasing in November 2026, which means I’ll be taking a slightly different approach to the models I pick up.
While there may not be as many fresh LEGO builds launching next month, there are still a few must-have sets right around the corner to add to your collection. That’s exactly what I’ll be doing when November 2026 rolls around, but I’ll also be mixing up those new releases with a soon-to-retire selection in my personal shopping basket.
With that in mind, here’s the full list of LEGO sets I’m looking to acquire in the coming weeks, assuming of course that all of the builds don’t manage to completely bust my budget or sell out in advance that is.
I took a pass on 11506 Rocking Plants when the cute LEGO Botanicals model launched back in May of this year, but I’m finally sold on picking up the set thanks to an upcoming November 2026 release.
10371 Cosy Plants looks to be the perfect companion and a continuation of what so far has the potential to become a popular floral sub-theme, one that also manages to represent an affordable £17.99 / $22.99 / €19.99 price point and it features some impressive display options too.
Joining my LEGO shopping list for next month will be 11390 Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku, the first such release based on the long-running Japanese series. I’m not a massive fan of the franchise per se, but I am a sucker for a well-built dragon model and the towering LEGO Icons creation certainly ticks that box for me.
Priced at £129.99 / $179.99 / €139.99 for 1,764 pieces, 11390 Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku will make a very welcome addition to my collection and it’s one that boasts some particularly impressive building techniques to simulate the striking green creature floating.
I’ll also be grabbing a copy of 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood at some point in November, so I’m hoping my purchase will still qualify me for a free 40898 Venetian Water Taxi GWP before the promotional model completely disappears.
The 5,682-piece LEGO Icons model looks like it’ll be a very rewarding build and it feels as if the set could be ripe for potential expansion too. 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood may not be for everyone and I personally think that the merits of the model far outweigh its negatives, but I’ll soon find out whether that is indeed the case once I start assembling the build.
Wrapping up my November 2026 shopping list are a couple of retiring LEGO sets that I need to snap up before they’re gone for good. Those include 10351 Sherlock Holmes: Book Nook to pair with my copy of 11379 Bookshop: Book Nook, plus 21333 Vincent van Gogh – The Starry Night, with the latter being my first foray into the world of LEGO Art.
Finally, I’m hoping I’ll have just enough cash left over to splurge on 76317 Peter Parker’s Apartment to match up with my existing 76311 Miles Morales vs. The Spot, ahead of 67005 Doctor Strange expanding my line-up of LEGO Marvel mini-modular buildings in early 2027.
Be sure to check out the full list of LEGO sets due to arrive online and in stores this November, so that you’ll be all good to go come launch day. You can also take a look at the complete range of LEGO models scheduled to retire at the end of 2026 over on our dedicated page right here.

LEGO’s Venetian Neighbourhood needed to be perfect for $550 – ...

LEGO’s Venetian Neighbourhood needed to be perfect for $550 – it isn’t

Following on from last year’s 10366 Tropical Aquarium, November 1 is cementing itself as the launch window for relatively random releases with 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood – but with a lofty price tag creating high expectations, can this original creation do sufficient justice to the Italian coastal city?
That’s the challenge facing this 5,682-piece set, which rivals some of the biggest and best LEGO Icons models around right now and – in doing so – must go one step further to justify a place on your shelf alongside, or perhaps instead of, titans like 10316 Rivendell, 10333 Barad-dûr and 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D.
Comparisons with Rivendell feel especially apt here, because 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood is close not only in price and piece count to that Lord of the Rings set, but also in presentation and composition. The bulk of the model sits on the left, with a bridge towards the right that leads to a second, smaller area that goes vertical (here it’s a tower instead of trees).
The price-per-piece ratio, for those who care for it, obviously favours Rivendell: £429.99 for 6,167 pieces trumps £449.99 for 5,682 pieces. But when you’re operating at this size those numbers are almost irrelevant; there are so many tiny elements padding out the piece count in both sets that what matters most is whether it feels like good value when all’s said and done. More on that later.
The final thread that joins these two LEGO Icons flagships together – and there is just one more – is the build experience. It’s no secret that Rivendell offers one of the most engaging, interesting and enjoyable builds of any LEGO set around right now (or previously), and to its credit 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood manages to go toe-to-toe with it for at least half of its 40 numbered bags.
Those first 20 (and change) bags go into constructing the left half of Venice, which consists of a merchant house with a glass emporium, glassblowing workshop and living quarters. And if you enjoy putting together LEGO modular buildings, you’re going to find a lot to love here: 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood is almost a taste of what that series might feel like on twice the budget.
The parts library is similar and the techniques often reminiscent of the Modular Buildings Collection, finding novel ways to use pieces in intricate ways for architectural details. Most importantly, there’s also enough variation across each of the sections to the building – the floors of which lift away, again aping the modular approach – that things move along at a swift pace and never feel laborious.
There’s strong use of colour across this entire section too. You could see how an official LEGO Venice set might easily slip into the same relatively monochrome approach as the BrickLink Designer Program’s 910023 Venetian Houses, which is a nice model if not particularly colourful. 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood instead smartly deploys sprinklings of sand blue, dark orange, and even teal without ever feeling busy or overbearing.
Details abound at every turn, and even the paving feels interesting and intricate, combining pentagonal tiles, 1x2 tiles with cut-outs and ingots for a pattern that’s satisfying to both build and take in. There are also a pleasing number of studs here to place minifigures, as well as an almost over-engineered solution for placing the 3D-printed piano at an angle.
Yes, 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood is the second wide retail set to include a 3D-printed LEGO element (following the miniature train in 10361 Holiday Express Train). The gimmick here is that you can turn the vase connected to the top of the piano to play a couple of musical notes, and while it’s interesting for a few seconds it doesn’t feel like the sort of headline feature that’s going to sell anyone on this set.
If anything, it might do the opposite: a LEGO piano built from regular pieces would have been more fun to assemble and looked better in situ. The 3D-printed version is a novelty (in the strictest sense of the word) in the context of a LEGO set, but it’s not exactly light years ahead of other small plastic toys that make sounds. LEGO this isn’t…
The piano caps off this first half of the build, which comprises the first of two instruction manuals, and it’s not what you’d call the brightest note to end on. What comes next unfortunately also can’t quite live up to the experience so far, because while the second half of 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood is also full of fun parts usage and techniques, it suffers from two major problems.
First up is the repetition in putting together the almost entirely symmetrical tower, which takes some cues from St. Mark’s Clocktower in Piazza San Marco through its astronomical clock and Lion of St. Mark, realised here with fine printed details and a clever combination of parts respectively. The slightly more mundane construction would have been forgivable if not for the somewhat larger flaw at the top of the tower, though.
The onion dome that sits at its apex is far from typical of Venice’s skyline, and while there are certain byzantine influences across the city’s architecture, it feels like a misstep in 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood (particularly in how it swells out over the narrow structure below). Most of the city’s bell towers are topped off with conical or pyramid spires, and indeed that is the shape most famously associated with the Venetian skyline thanks to St. Mark’s Campanile.
11388 Venetian Neighbourhood is obviously not intended to be a specific one-for-one recreation of any particular Italian landmarks, but instead an artistic interpretation and approximation of the city (hence the glassblowing workshop, which in real life would be situated on the neighbouring island of Murano). It’s hard not to look at the onion dome as a significant sore spot, though – one that detracts from the overall aesthetic and composition of the entire build.
It really is a tale of two halves from a build perspective, and chances are you’re going to enjoy the left side much more than the right. That’s in the configuration as you see it on the front of the box, by the way – pull the two halves apart and swap them round and you have an alternate layout that may suit your display space a little better, while also reducing the amount of negative space in the default configuration.
Filling at least some of that space is probably the best LEGO tree you’ll see in an official set all year, at least outside of 21365 Love Birds, and it’s small enough that it’s not painful to put together either. At the same time, a slightly bigger tree may have helped with the wider composition of the model, so it’s swings and roundabouts. Where it does excel on all fronts is the water: the use of studs is really refreshing and the texture works well, while the new wedge tile and roof corner tile recolours are also excellent (and can't come to Pick a Brick quick enough).
If there’s one final, tiny flaw to note in the lesser side of the set, it’s that there are precious few studs on which to place minifigures, which matters mostly because there are just so many of them – 17, to be precise.
It’s a fair number for the price tag and while most of them are assembled from existing elements, there’s a nice mix of rarer hairstyles and fun accessories – including scarves, hats and moustaches – to give the generic citizens and tourists some character and identity.
The best minifigures are those defined by a clear vocation or purpose, though. The glassblower, gondoliers and violinist all feel appropriate for the context, while the standouts are easily the two carnival-goers, dressed to represent the sun and moon respectively.
It’s here where you’ll find some of the best parts usage across the entire model, from the DREAMZzz Nightmare Emperor’s headgear recoloured in gold to the beak of Monkie Kid’s Golden-Winged Eagle in light blue. The printing is top tier for both these minifigures too.
All that said, there are a few questionable choices across the line-up. Two of the minifigures share the same face print, while the violinist’s repurposed torso from 21363 The Goonies retains its original white hands rather than swapping them out for yellow. Both of those feel like cost-cutting measures above all else.
Is LEGO Venetian Neighbourhood worth the price?
No LEGO set is perfect, but perfection should still be something to strive for when the stakes are this high. £449.99 / $549.99 / €499.99 is no small chunk of change, and for that price you would be well within your rights to expect the very best of what a LEGO set has to offer – expectations that the LEGO Group has delivered on before at similar price points with 10316 Rivendell, 10333 Barad-dûr and 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D.
11388 Venetian Neighbourhood doesn’t quite pull off the same feat. Even with the repetition of the tower in mind, it’s still one of the best building experiences you’ll have all year, and aside from the onion dome it really does look very good. And those caveats wouldn’t be such a big deal if this was priced at (for example) £349.99 / $449.99 / €399.99. Then it would be an easy recommendation.
As is often the case for new LEGO sets, though, the price tag is writing cheques the model can’t quite cash. 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood is a good set; a great set – but not a perfect set. And that’s a price that demands perfection.

LEGO Disney Main Street, U.S.A. added four essential new elements

Multiple new elements had to be created for 43302 Main Street, U.S.A. in order to ensure the LEGO Disney set accurately reflected its iconic source material.
The LEGO Disney theme launched 43302 Main Street, U.S.A. earlier this year, a 3,899-piece recreation of the iconic theme park location. In addition to multiple storefronts and a 16 minifigure-strong cast of characters, the model also provided the set’s designers with the opportunity to add fresh moulds to the LEGO parts portfolio.
In a new interview with the LEGO Disney design team, exactly how those pieces came to be included in the build has now been revealed, along with a number of other important development decisions that were made during the creation of 43302 Main Street, U.S.A.
“The design process was a team effort,” said Senior Graphic Designer, Nikki Hartomo. “Ryan [Baird-Van Woerkom, Senior Model Designer] and Robert [Lehmann, Model Designer] divided the model design of the three buildings, the fire engine and the popcorn cart, while I and other graphic designers began developing the minifigures and decorations."
“We relied on reference images to ensure the facades and details were as accurate as possible,” said Robert. “During development, we even put out a call to our fellow Disney fans in LEGO Design to share their favourite Disney memories and experiences that we could include in the model!”
All of that effort was bolstered by the creation of a handful of essential new parts for the LEGO Disney set, all of which added to the detail and rich texture of the Disneyland location.
“The Emporium is one of the most prominent buildings that you encounter as you go down Main Street and also a frequent stop for fans to shop for their favourite souvenirs,” Robert explained. “We were delighted to include the novelty elements of a Mickey hat, Minnie ears, and balloons to add a touch of magic to the minifigures.”
“The minifigures of the cast members wear the typical name tags,” Nikki added, “and we asked our colleagues from element design to created three new elements that are iconic Disneyland merchandise: the Mickey ears cap, the Mickey ears headband and the balloon element.”
“We have Mickey and Minie Mouse to represent the famous animated characters and the roots of Disney’s success. Then, there are seven cast members: the popcorn cart vendor, the Emporium vendor and the fire truck driver. We also included the four famous Dapper Dans in their striped outfit and the newly-designed straw hats.”
Those same hat elements will soon reappear in the upcoming 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood, with the LEGO Icons set featuring recoloured versions of the pieces as headwear for a pair of gondolier minifigures in the November 2026 model.
43302 Main Street, U.S.A. is currently available to purchase right now, with the LEGO Disney set priced at £319.99 in the UK, $399.99 in the US and for €349.99 in Europe.

There’s double trouble for the latest LEGO Ideas 10K submissions

A pair of police-based TV show creations have made it into the third LEGO Ideas review of 2026, but which version of The Rookie will prove to be a hit?
Multiple fan designs inrpired by the same licensed property are a common occurrence during the LEGO Ideas review process, with similar creations having battled it out for a chance to shine in the spotlight on more than one occasion. That’s exactly what’s happened with two new models that have now reached 10K supporters each, with both builds based on The Rookie.
The long-running US police procedural crime-drama has just been renewed for its upcoming ninth season and stars Nathan Fillion as he attempts to become a successful LAPD officer following the events of a life-altering incident.
The show has now been recreated in two brick-built forms, with the first of those to reach 10K in the third review of 2026 being The Rookie – LAPD Mid-Wilshire Police Station. The brainchild of BRICKUP, the 4,007-piece LEGO Ideas is based around a multi-room version of the location, one that includes The Bullpen, Sergeant’s Office, Armoury, Sally Port, Booking & Holding area and more.
In addition, The Rookie – LAPD Mid-Wilshire Police Station also comes with an impressive 13 minifigures in the shape of John Nolan, Lucy Chen, Tim Bradford, Angela Lopez, Wade Grey, Nyla Harper, Celina Juarez, Wesley Evers, Bailey Nune, Miles Penn, Quigley Smitty, Monica Stevens and Oscar Hutchinson.
Also busting up the joint is The Rookie: Mid Wilshire Station from 44th_brick, which takes a slightly different approach to the show’s regular location. This time around the LAPD building features fewer rooms, but instead opts for a split-level approach with Sergeant Wade Grey’s Office acting as command central on the upper level.
The LEGO Ideas design is comprised of 2,500 pieces and boasts nine minifigure characters in total, along with an LAPD patrol car for cruising around the neighbourhood and chasing down bad guys.
Both brick-built versions of The Rookie now join numerous other models currently in a holding pattern in the third LEGO Ideas review of 2026, with the results of which will eventually become physical sets not due to be revealed until next year.

LEGO Star Wars Offworld Sandcrawler is now at its lowest price

There’s an impressive 25% discount to be had on 75453 Offworld Sandcrawler and Mudhorn when you purchase the LEGO Star Wars set from Amazon UK.
While 75453 Offworld Sandcrawler and Mudhorn may only have launched a few short months ago, we’ve already seen the LEGO Star Wars set receive some minor price drops. However, online retailer Amazon UK has now discounted The Mandalorian model by an impressive 25%, making this the best time to trundle away with the brick-built vehicle.
>> Buy 75453 Offworld Sandcrawler and Mudhorn for £134.99
Is 75453 Offworld Sandcrawler and Mudhorn worth buying for £134.99?
Despite primarily being constructed from multiple grey elements, 75453 Offworld Sandcrawler and Mudhorn still does a good job of recreating the lumbering Jawa transport. There are even a few decent play features thrown in for good measure, such as opening panels, stud shooters, a front ramp for easy access and a steering function too.
What’s more, 75453 Offworld Sandcrawler and Mudhorn mixes up its character line-up with minifigures of The Mandalorian, Kuiil and three Jawas, a Grogu figure with hoverpram and even a brick-built version of a poseable Mudhorn beast, so there’s plenty to appreciate.
Head on over to Amazon UK right now to buy your copy of 75453 Offworld Sandcrawler and Mudhorn, while the LEGO Star Wars set is still in stock at its lowest price to date.

LEGO Marvel’s mini-modular collection keeps growing The LEGO ...

LEGO Marvel’s mini-modular collection keeps growing

The LEGO Marvel mini-modular collection is growing again in 2027, but its latest addition takes the range in a surprisingly gruesome direction.
When 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme was revealed yesterday, it confirmed that the LEGO Marvel mini-modular line-up, which began last year, is continuing into 2027. What started as a slowly growing collection of Spider-Man sets on a single street has expanded into something much bigger.
The latest twist takes us back to Spider-Man, but brings one of the most recognisable buildings in the Marvel Universe to the collection. Here’s how the line-up has shaped up so far.
2025
The range began in 2025 with 76311 Miles Morales vs. the Spot, although there was no mention of a larger collection at the time. Based on the Spider-Verse movie, the set was so small that you might not have considered it part of a mini-modular line-up if it weren’t for the exposed studs and Technic connection points.
The collection continued with 76317 Peter Parker’s Apartment, which included a very cool Hobgoblin minifigure, and 76324 Spider-Man vs. Oscorp, the highlight of the 2025 line-up. The latter featured a scaled-down version of Oscorp Tower, but its minifigures of Eddie Brock, Kraven and Green Goblin were the real highlights.
2026
Three more mini-modular builds have joined the range this year. While two of 2025’s sets were based on comics and one on a movie, the balance has shifted in 2026, with two movie-inspired builds and one based on the comics.
The year began with 76342 Spider-Man vs. Mysterio: The Daily Bugle, providing a smaller alternative to the larger Daily Bugle modular building. It wasn’t the only Spider-Man-focused addition, though. In June, several sets launched based on the fantastic Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie, including 76350 Spider-Man vs. Hulk Epic Clash.
Perhaps the least exciting build in the line-up, it does at least include the collection’s only bigfig and the latest Tom Holland Spider-Man minifigure.
Most recently, 76352 Avengers Doomsday: New Avengers Tower arrived earlier this month, finally taking the collection beyond its Spider-Man focus. The downsized New Avengers Tower is decent enough, but once again, it’s the minifigures that win us over. Red Guardian, Sentry and Flame On Human Torch are among the best we’ve seen all year.
2027
Now, 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme will kick-start the new year with another instalment in the mini-modular collection, and the first based on a TV show. Inspired by What If…? and Marvel Zombies, the build recreates the Sanctum Sanctorum with a horrifying twist.
Spider-Man is still part of the picture, but this time it’s the Zombie Hunter version. He’s joined by zombified versions of Wanda, Thor, Namor and Strange Supreme, alongside F.R.I.D.A.Y. with a teddy bear for a head.
The 814-piece build launches on January 1, 2027, for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99. Hopefully, it won’t be the last mini-modular building we see in the coming year.

LEGO’s new Sanctum Sanctorum is a step back from 2018 in one ...

2026-10-29T14:49:54Z

LEGO’s new Sanctum Sanctorum is a step back from 2018 in one big way

The new LEGO Sanctum Sanctorum set looks great on the box, but the lifestyle photos demonstrate why it’s a step back from the 2018 version in one big way.
67005 Marvel What If...? Doctor Strange Supreme is the fifth LEGO Marvel set based specifically on the Sanctum Sanctorum, and the third to tackle the entire building rather than just a slice of the interior. The first was 2018’s 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown, and while that Avengers: Infinity War set can’t quite match the new version in terms of accuracy or aesthetics, it did have one thing going for it that the new one doesn’t.
The clearest way to see that is by comparing the box art and main lifestyle image for the 2027 set. The packaging really pops, positioning the set against a colourful backdrop of purples and blues, with visual effects surrounding almost every character (and a couple of extra portals thrown in for good measure). In situ, the model itself looks almost completely lifeless.
Without the lightning from Zombie Thor’s hammer, the energy effects from Red Queen’s hands, the thrusters or lasers from F.R.I.D.A.Y.’s feet and hands or the fiery glow around Strange Supreme’s portals, 67005 Marvel What If...? Doctor Strange Supreme feels surprisingly sterile in person. There’s not much going on around the front of the building to offset it, either – all the detail is packed into the interior.
And, fair enough, the Sanctorum isn’t the most exciting building to look at. There are no giant billboards or screens like you’ll find on the Daily Bugle or Oscorp. But the 2018 set navigated that issue with a simple solution: bags of blue and orange power blast pieces, which were scattered liberally around LEGO Marvel sets at the time but have become an increasingly rare sight in years since.
In fact, the specific bag of power burst elements (numbered 35032 at BrickLink) introduced in 2018 Super Heroes sets – including 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown – hasn’t been seen since 2023, last appearing in 76232 The Hoopty.
It’s a shame, because those elements would have gone a long way to adding more life to 67005 Marvel What If...? Doctor Strange Supreme. You could argue that it’s up to the kids to imagine those effects, but we still get one-off energy pieces in certain sets – like Mysterio’s trans-green burst in 76342 Spider-Man vs. Mysterio: The Daily Bugle, or Doctor Doom’s claws in 76348 Epic Battle: Avengers: Doomsday – so it’s strange (sorry not sorry) that there are none at all here.
This isn’t necessarily an outlier in the wider LEGO portfolio, though. Harry Potter famously introduced some very cool spell effect elements in 2023’s 76415 The Battle of Hogwarts, then never touched them again – even where they would make perfect sense to deploy from a display perspective, such as in this year’s 76476 The Ministry of Magic Collectors’ Edition.
Where 67005 Marvel What If...? Doctor Strange Supreme is concerned, you can at least solve the problem relatively easily by heading over to BrickLink, where bags of trans-orange and trans-light blue power burst elements are readily available at low prices. The trans-pink versions are a bit harder to come by but still relatively cheap, while there’s only one listing for the trans-bright green pieces at the moment, for a staggering €25.
Luckily, you can probably get by pretty well with just the blue, orange and pink varieties for a slightly better match to the box art. And while comparisons between the packaging and model aren’t immediately flattering, this isn’t to say anything against the artwork itself – it’s a lot more fun to look at than boring black boxes. It just highlights where the LEGO model maybe could have gone one step further…
67005 Marvel What If...? Doctor Strange Supreme launches January 1, 2027 for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99.

LEGO Marvel’s first F.R.I.D.A.Y. minifigure comes at a strange ...

2026-10-29T13:26:26Z

LEGO Marvel’s first F.R.I.D.A.Y. minifigure comes at a strange time

LEGO Marvel is finally giving us a minifigure of one of Iron Man’s most pivotal AI companions, but its debut comes at a particularly strange time.
F.R.I.D.A.Y. is back in the spotlight thanks to VisionQuest, with Irish actress Orla Brady playing a human version of Tony Stark’s AI assistant. The Disney+ series gives the character a human face for the first time, and with episodes weekly, she’s once again part of the MCU conversation.
You might therefore expect LEGO Marvel’s first F.R.I.D.A.Y. minifigure to tie into the show. Instead, when she arrives on January 1, 2027, she’ll look completely different.
That’s because F.R.I.D.A.Y. is one of six minifigures in 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme, an 814-piece set inspired by What If…? and its spin-off, Marvel Zombies. Rather than recreating the character as she appears in VisionQuest, the LEGO Group has opted for her much stranger animated incarnation, complete with a teddy bear head.
In Marvel Zombies, F.R.I.D.A.Y. takes control of Iron Man’s zombified armour after survivors, including Riri Williams, repurpose the suit. With Tony’s head missing, the teddy bear provides a rather unusual replacement, making this one of the most distinctive minifigures in the entire set.
It’s a fun interpretation of the AI, and arguably a more interesting minifigure than a straightforward recreation of her now familiar on-screen appearance. The timing, however, feels oddly disconnected from what’s happening in the MCU at the moment.
Marvel Zombies debuted last year, and while the series is set to return for Halloween specials, its version of F.R.I.D.A.Y. is hardly the one most viewers will have in mind while watching VisionQuest. Revealing the minifigure now creates an unusual situation: the character is back on our screens, but LEGO Marvel is giving us a completely different version of her.
It’s understandable that VisionQuest hasn’t received its own LEGO set. A build based on the show’s house, complete with Vision and Ultron minifigures, would be fantastic, but the series might not have been an obvious fit for the LEGO Marvel line-up. Even so, it’s strange to see the LEGO Group introduce F.R.I.D.A.Y. for the first time through a version that has little in common visually with the character currently appearing on Disney+.
That doesn’t make the minifigure any less welcome. F.R.I.D.A.Y. is still one of the highlights of 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme, and the teddy bear head gives her a distinctive look that should stand out in any LEGO Marvel collection.
67005 Doctor Strange Supreme launches on January 1, 2027, for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99. You can pre-order the set now from LEGO.com.

LEGO Harry Potter’s ‘most detailed Hogwarts ever’ may not ...

2026-10-29T04:17:47Z

LEGO Harry Potter’s ‘most detailed Hogwarts ever’ may not be done yet

LEGO Harry Potter is rumoured to be breaking its pattern of three-year Hogwarts Castle runs with another instalment to the current system in 2027.
StoneWars reports (via Easterbunnyleakz) that a new LEGO Harry Potter Astronomy Tower will debut next year, delivering a much-requested addition to the likes of 76473 Hogwarts Castle: East Wing and 76454 Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower. That’s assuming it is indeed a continuation of the system that started in 2024 with 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall, and it would be unusual if so.
That’s because the two prior modular Hogwarts Castle waves ran for three years each, from 2018 to 2020 and 2021 to 2023 respectively, so it would have been no surprise to see the LEGO Group consider the current system done and dusted in 2026. And with HBO’s Harry Potter TV series right around the corner, the timing feels right for another reboot.
It would have been to the detriment of anyone who’s invested time, space and budget into the current Hogwarts Castle line-up, though – particularly when those sets really have been, as promised, the ‘most detailed Hogwarts ever’. The Astronomy Tower is arguably the biggest missing piece of the puzzle, so fingers crossed this one really is part of the same system.
The previous Astronomy Tower, 2020's 75969.
There’s no word yet on a price, piece count or even a release date for the Astronomy Tower beyond ‘2027’, so take this one with an especially hefty pinch of salt. The same goes for the other newly-rumoured LEGO Harry Potter 2027 set, which is a first-ever take on Azkaban prison. Hopefully we’ll hear more details on both sets soon…
In the meantime, check out the table below or our 2027 LEGO sets page for a full rundown of everything currently on the cards for LEGO Harry Potter next year. HBO’s new TV show debuts on Christmas Day.

LEGO Ideas could have a blooming brilliant Botanicals set

LEGO Ideas could be getting its biggest flower yet, as a gigantic 1,882-piece Tiger Lily blooms its way to 10,000 votes.
The third and final LEGO Ideas review of 2026 is underway, with fan-designed sets spanning a wide variety of builds.
The latest unique submission to reach the required 10,000 votes is a massive 1,882-piece Tiger Lily from LordSentimentalesFenster.
Inspired by their girlfriend’s love of LEGO Botanicals sets, the fan designer has created a giant pink lily, with intricate details across each and every petal.
Each petal features carefully sculpted curves and layered pink tones, giving the oversized flower a striking appearance.
This Asian-inspired flower will now join the growing list of LEGO Ideas projects hoping to become official sets. If approved, it could look right at home alongside another fan-designed creation, 21353 The Botanical Garden.
Check out the table below for a full rundown of every fan-designed LEGO Ideas set to reach 10,000 votes in this review so far.

The bus opens up to reveal a dance floor, while the set includes minidolls of Leo, Aliya, Liann, and Daisy, alongside Churro, a rather grumpy cat. The build is packed with colourful decorations, making it a lively setting for the friends to celebrate together.
42719 Heartlake City Shopping Mall

The two-storey building features four shops and a working elevator, with plenty of opportunities for dress-up thanks to accessories including shoes, clothes, hairpieces, and hoodies. There’s also a small game shop and a matcha café to explore, giving the friends plenty of places to browse and hang out.
All three LEGO Friends sets launch on January 1, 2027, alongside the very different 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme, also revealed today.

Five LEGO Marvel Strange Supreme details you may have missed

A spooky new LEGO Marvel set for 2027 has been revealed and it’s one that’s packed with hidden details for fans of the MCU to discover.
Fans of the animated What if…? series on Disney+ have had to wait five long years for a follow-up LEGO Marvel set to arrive, but that's all due to change in early 2027. 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme is scheduled for release on January 1, with the slimline modular building featuring a surprising number of details crammed into its 29cm tall interior.
With that in mind, here are five secrets waiting to be discovered in 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme that you may not already have spotted in the upcoming LEGO Marvel model.
1 – Books of Cagliostro and Vishanti
Take a closer look at the first floor of 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme and you’ll find two stickered purple tomes of particular note. On the left-hand side of the library is the Book of Cagliostro and over on the right is the Book of Vishanti, both very powerful and dangerous magical artifacts in the MCU.
2 – The Watcher… watching
67005 Doctor Strange Supreme features a clever play feature that allows builders to move sliding and switching mechanisms to reveal hidden portals. One of those can be found on the first floor of the Bleeker Street townhouse and opens up to reveal The Watcher observing from a mysterious interdimensional location.
3 – Demonic Doctor Strange
Moving up to the third floor of the LEGO Marvel model and we can spot what may be a sticker featuring an image of a demon battling Strange Supreme. The Sorcerer Supreme ultimately becomes that same creature in the Season 2 finale of What if…?, although it isn’t the last we see of the fallen former hero.
4 – Zombie cure
In the basement of 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme are all manner of magical artefacts, including one particularly handy item. The blue syringe element in the lower left of the building is supposed to represent a cure for the zombie plague that has infested poor Earth-89521.
5 – Throg
Also to be found in the bowels of the LEGO Marvel set is a curious green frog piece, tucked away on the lower right-hand side of the build. This element is in fact Throg, the Frog of Thunder, who previously appeared as a much more detailed character accessory in 2021’s 71031 Marvel Studios collection.
67005 Doctor Strange Supreme is due to launch on January 1, 2027, with 814 pieces and including six minifigures. The LEGO Mavel What if…? model is available to pre-order now in the UK and Europe priced at £89.99 / €99.99 and for $99.99 in the US at some point soon.

LEGO Doctor Strange Supreme: Who’s Who in the What if…? set ...

2026-10-28T17:47:29Z

LEGO Doctor Strange Supreme: Who’s Who in the What if…? set

The first LEGO Marvel model based on the animated What if…? series in five years arrives in early January, complete with an eclectic minifigure line-up.
We got our first look today at 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme, a 2027 LEGO Marvel spinning out of the What if…? animated series on Disney+. The upcoming superhero set not only features a slimmed-down version of the MCU location, but the build also comes with six multiversal minifigures.
For those of you who may need to catch up on What if…? or have yet to watch the Marvel show, here’s your guide to all the characters included in 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme.
Strange Supreme
Following the loss of Christine Palmer in an alternate timeline, Doctor Stephen Strange sets out on a quest to gain ultimate power and bring her back to life. The corrupted version of the Sorcerer Supreme boasts two suitably moody face prints, a printed torso and legs, and a pointy high-collared and purple Cloak of Levitation.
F.R.I.D.A.Y.
Iron Man’s zombified Earth-89521 counterpart lost his head in an early episode of What if…? and his inactive Mark L armour was eventually reactivated, with the Stark A.I. in control. The LEGO Marvel minifigure accurately reflects the look of the character, complete with a repurposed and reprinted LEGO Fortnite Meowscles head.
Zombie Hunter Spider-Man
Earth-89521’s Spider-Man wears the fallen Doctor Strange’s Cloak of Levitation in What if…? and first appeared in minifigure form in 2021’s 71031 Marvel Studios line-up as Zombie Hunter Spidey. This time around, the wall-crawler loses his arm and leg printing but does gain a moulded version of the Sorcerer Supreme's cloak, as well as an updated Peter Parker face print.
Red Queen
In the Earth-89521 universe, poor Wanda Maximoff has succumbed to the zombie plague and been transformed into the frightening Red Queen. The minifigure of the former Avenger in 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme has a scary face print and tattered torso and leg printing, which would also make her an ideal addition to 11383 Mayor Manor.
Zombie Namor
Only the second version of Namor released to date, the zombified Sub-Mariner looks suitably decrepit and rotting. While the printing on the character’s face, torso and legs are impressive, we’re a little disappointed that there’s no sign of his moulded pointed ears and small printed ankle wings, both of which appeared on past minifigures.
Zombie Thor
The first-ever Zombie Thor minifigure certainly looks the part, with the God of Thunder transformed into one of the undead in What if…? The Odinson reuses the same printed legs as the Red Queen in 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme, plus a new printed face and torso, and even comes with a zombie version of Stormbreaker.
67005 Doctor Strange Supreme will be released on January 1, 2027, with pre-orders now live in the UK and Europe. The LEGO Mavel What if…? model will be priced at £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 for 814 pieces.

First LEGO Marvel What If…? set in five years revealed

The LEGO Group has revealed its first LEGO Marvel What If…? set in over five years, bringing a zombie-infested twist to the Marvel mini-modular collection.
Following the release of 76352 Avengers Doomsday: New Avengers Tower earlier this month, the LEGO Group has announced the next smaller LEGO Marvel modular: 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme.
67005 Doctor Strange Supreme
Price: £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 814 Release date: January 1, 2027
Arriving on January 1, 2027, 67005 Doctor Strange Supreme takes us into the world of What If…? and Marvel Zombies. The 814-piece set recreates the Sanctum Sanctorum on a smaller scale, with three zombie-infested floors packed with references to the Marvel animated series.
The build also features removable portals and a selection of accessories, including the syringe used to develop a zombie cure, Throg (albeit in his regular frog form), and the Books of Cagliostro and Vishanti.
Six minifigures round out the set, led by Doctor Strange Supreme and Zombie Hunter Spider-Man. The line-up also includes F.R.I.D.A.Y. with her teddy bear head, the zombified Wanda Maximoff as the Red Queen, Zombie Namor, and Zombie Thor.
67005 Doctor Strange Supreme launches on January 1 for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99, alongside 67006 The Marvel Skyline as part of the first LEGO Marvel releases of 2027.

LEGO PlayStation designer admits he never played the original ...

LEGO PlayStation designer admits he never played the original console

The LEGO designer behind the first LEGO PlayStation console has admitted he never played the original, though you wouldn’t know it.
In an interview with IGN, Isaac Snyder, Senior Product Designer at the LEGO Group and the man behind 72306 PlayStation, revealed that he never got to experience the original PlayStation during its heyday.
“We didn’t have any consoles in my family when I was growing up,” admitted Snyder. “So I missed out on playing the PlayStation 1.
“However, several LEGO designers who grew up playing the original PlayStation brought their firsthand passion and memories to the project, which helped shape the set through thoughtful details and authentic feedback.”
The original PlayStation reached its commercial and cultural peak in the late 1990s, before the PlayStation 2 launched in 2000.
You wouldn’t know Snyder missed out on that era from looking at the model, either. The 1,911-piece build looks brilliant, even if the original console’s plain grey design doesn’t make for the most colourful LEGO set.
To add a little more colour, the model features two dioramas inside the console, recreating scenes from Gran Turismo and Ape Escape. Snyder revealed that the team worked closely with Sony to decide which games to include.
The set also features plenty of fun details, including functional Open and Power buttons, but they aren’t Snyder’s favourite part of 72306 PlayStation.
“I’m very pleased with how the controller turned out,” he admitted. “That was a section that saw a lot of iterations, trying to find a simple, satisfying build that still felt and looked like the original PlayStation 1 controller.”
We previously discussed how the original controller design used by the LEGO Group wouldn’t actually support Ape Escape, one of the games represented in the set’s dioramas. We’ll let it slide, though, as the finished model still looks pretty great.
Snyder has worked as a LEGO designer since February 2022 and has several other sets on shelves right now, including 21064 Paris – City of Love and 21589 Mini Biomes.

Eight retiring LEGO set combos we’d recommend for the new Classic Space freebie

Looking for the perfect order that will take you over the required threshold for the new LEGO Classic Space freebie? Here are the retiring sets we’d recommend.
40889 Build, Paint and Play is free with all orders at LEGO.com above £115 / $130 / €130 from October 28 to November 8, or while stocks last, which blows the doors wide open to both new and retiring releases. If you’re still playing catch-up on the dozens of sets leaving shelves this year, there are some prime picks that will just eke over that threshold.
Some of these suggestions are single sets while others are combos of similarly-themed retiring builds. And all of them come recommended by the team here at Brick Fanatics…
75428 Battle Droid with STAP (+ bonus battle pack)
One of the best LEGO Star Wars sets retiring this year (beyond the cluster of Ultimate Collector Series models) is 75428 Battle Droid with STAP, and in the US it’ll take you just over the threshold for 40889 all on its own at $139.99. It would have done so too in the UK, but ironically it’s discounted right now – and also temporarily out of stock.
If it comes back before 40889 sells out, we’d recommend tossing in 75372 Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack, which is the best-value LEGO Star Wars battle pack in recent memory and is also retiring this year. That’ll bring your order total to £120.98.
21333 Vincent van Gogh – The Starry Night
This one’s a little bit more expensive than the other suggestions here and easily clears the threshold for 40889, but it’s worth calling attention again to 21333 Vincent van Gogh – The Starry Night before it’s gone for good. The LEGO Art-adjacent set that kicked off the current run of brick-built takes on legendary masterpieces, this is a novel build and awesome display piece wrapped up in one.
At £149.99 / $169.99 / €169.99 it instantly qualifies for 40889 Build, Paint and Play.
76325 Avengers: Age of Ultron Quinjet and 76308 Spider-Man Mech vs. Anti-Venom
LEGO Marvel’s Quinjets just keep getting better and better, and while Age of Ultron may be the weakest Avengers movie, there’s a lot to be said for 76325 Avengers: Age of Ultron Quinjet. The design is on point, the colour scheme unique and the minifigure selection unrivalled (especially thanks to the long-overdue return of Quicksilver).
Unfortunately, this one’s already sold out for good in the US, but if you’re in the UK you can still snag it on back order. You’ll need to top up your order by £5.01 to qualify for 40889, and for that you need look no further than 76308 Spider-Man Mech vs. Anti-Venom (mainly for the latter minifigure) if you don’t already have it. Otherwise, maybe grab a keychain or two?
76451 Privet Drive: Aunt Marge's Visit and 76445 Hogwarts Castle: Herbology Class
Looking for a retiring LEGO Harry Potter set combo that’ll take you over the threshold for 40889? Start with 76451 Privet Drive: Aunt Marge's Visit, the first fully-enclosed version of Harry’s childhood home (and easily the best to date). If you’re in the UK, combine it with 76445 Hogwarts Castle: Herbology Class for a total order value of £124.98.
Shopping in the US? The Herbology greenhouse is temporarily out of stock, while other top picks (like 76447 Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons) are already sold out. Instead, consider 76446 Knight Bus Adventure, which is retiring at the end of 2027. That takes you to $139.98 all in.
21060 Himeji Castle
Another single set worth setting your sights on before it retires for good, 21060 Himeji Castle is a brilliantly-realised recreation of the Japanese fortress that also manages to weave in a real sense of narrative and storytelling. Got a trip to Japan on the cards for 2027 or 2028? Pick this one up while you still have chance – you can always build it later. It qualifies for 40889 Build, Paint and Play all on its own.
71846 The Fire Knight Mech and 71866 Ninja Character Display
This is a UK-only suggestion, as it’s unfortunately already sold out in the US, but 71846 The Fire Knight Mech is probably the best NINJAGO set going this year (save for maybe 71847 The Guardian Dragon, which is temporarily out of stock). It’s also discounted to just £87.99 at LEGO.com, so now’s a great time to buy – especially if you combine it with another NINJAGO set.
We’d recommend 71866 Ninja Character Display if you’re just looking to get as close to the threshold as possible, as it’ll take your order total to £122.98. It’s not retiring this year, but it is one of the best LEGO NINJAGO sets for less than £35 you’ll find right now.
43268 Lilo and Stitch Beach House and 43272 Heihei
Probably the most colourful combo we’d recommend from the retiring pack is 43268 Lilo and Stitch Beach House and 43272 Heihei, which together total £114.98 / $129.98. That’s a couple of pence/cents under the threshold for 40889, so if it doesn’t trigger in your basket you could just chuck in a keychain or 71053 Shrek minifigure.
These are both brilliant LEGO Disney sets though, and between them you get the best of both worlds in terms of minifigure playsets and display models, with fun building experiences to boot.
A stacked LEGO City bundle
There are some genuinely strong LEGO City sets retiring in 2026, and you can’t go wrong with most of them. For the purposes of reaching the threshold for 40889 as efficiently as possible, we’ve gone with 60430 Interstellar Spaceship, 60495 Recycling Truck, 60466 Bulldozer and 60400 Go-Karts and Race Drivers.
If you ask us (and you’re reading this, so we’re going to assume you are), the first three are the best LEGO City sets retiring this year full stop, while the last one is a fun little build that’ll just pop you over the £115 / $130 threshold. Your final order total here is £116.96 / $134.96.
Browse our retiring LEGO sets page to see what else is leaving shelves this year and if there’s anything else that takes your fancy. Bear in mind that they’re selling out thick and fast, though, so those you’re after might already be long gone at LEGO.com.
40889 Build, Paint and Play is available with all LEGO.com orders above £115 / $130 / €130 through November 8, or while stocks last.

The big LEGO Ideas gamble: buy now or wait until November 1? The ...

The big LEGO Ideas gamble: buy now or wait until November 1?

The new LEGO Ideas gift-with-purchase is available through November 8, but should you hold off for Sunday’s new releases or buy as soon as possible?
It’s relatively rare for desirable new gifts-with-purchase on the level of 40889 Build, Paint and Play – which is free with all orders above £115 / $130 / €130 – to cross over with new releases and other freebies, but that’s what will (hopefully) happen on Sunday, when four new LEGO sets land on shelves for November. The question is… should you wait until then to place your order?
If you’re eyeing up a day-one purchase of 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood for its accompanying 40898 Venetian Water Taxi free gift, 40889 Build, Paint and Play will only sweeten the deal. It’s the same story for 11390 Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku and, at least in the US, 21065 Sagrada Família, where the upcoming LEGO Architecture set is listed as ‘coming soon’.
The gamble, of course, is whether or not 40889 will still be in stock come Sunday. This is likely to be one of the most popular gifts-with-purchase of the year, not only for mashing up another hobby that’s probably close to the hearts of many LEGO fans, but for its exclusive light grey Classic Space helmet and air tanks. There’s every chance it might sell out sooner.
If you’re planning to buy 21065 Sagrada Família in the UK, you can still pre-order it at LEGO.com and qualify for 40889 Build, Paint and Play – but the same advice as always applies, which is to add something small that’s in stock now to your order so the gift-with-purchase ships straight away. You should be alright either way given we’re only a few days out from release, but better safe than sorry…
The dilemma mostly pertains to the other November releases, particularly given they don’t come cheap. 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood weighs in at £449.99 / $549.99 / €499.99, so if you’re planning on grabbing that day one you may not have much budget spare for another order right now. In that case, best to ask yourself just how much you value 40889 Build, Paint and Play.
Speaking of value: early eBay listings for the LEGO Ideas freebie are landing at around the £35 to £40 mark. So if you want to buy it outright, that’s how much you can roughly expect to pay – and if you have no interest in this gift-with-purchase but want to offset a LEGO.com order, that’s also how much you can expect to recoup.
40889 Build, Paint and Play is free with all orders at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores above £115 / $130 / €130 until November 8 or – crucially – while stocks last. Your guess is as good as ours on how long that will be, but it’s worth bearing in mind that there’s at least potential for crossover with November’s new sets.
There are also a couple of LEGO Star Wars and Harry Potter freebies up for grabs right now depending on region – find out what's available where you are.

My November 2026 LEGO shopping plans: mostly retiring models ...

My November 2026 LEGO shopping plans: mostly retiring models

November starts later this week, and while I wonder where the year has gone, I've solidified my monthly LEGO shopping plans, with only one new release.
November's list of new LEGO sets is much smaller than usual, though the few models it includes are on the larger side (for the most part). The highlights include 11390 Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku and 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood, both of which I've had my eye on.
I won't be picking up 11390 Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku, though, since I had the opportunity to review the build early. You can read that review by clicking here. The architectural details in 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood are astounding, but it's too large for collection. It's an easy miss next month, despite the water taxi gift-with-purchase.
Instead, I'll be using November and the deals that will inevitably come for Black Friday and the LEGO Insiders Weekend as a chance to catch up. There are dozens of LEGO sets retiring at the end of the year, and there are only a few left that I need to catch up on.
That list includes the 4,000-piece 10326 Natural History Museum, which has a spot ready in my modular city display. The wide building set is the only museum in the LEGO Modular Buildings Collection, featuring exterior banners, interior exhibits and a diverse cast of characters.
I'll be placing it next to 10350 Tudor Corner and opposite 76300 Arkham Asylum, the latter of which I need to catch up on at some point next year. 10326 Natural History Museum is still available online for £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99.
The LEGO Group's annual Black Friday offers consistently include a gift-with-purchase with orders of £225 / $250 / €250, and therefore 10326 Natural History Museum will be my main purchase next month. Also on my list of retiring sets to catch up is one last build from LEGO DREAMZzz.
71513 Nightmare Scorpion Digger is one of the most recent models from LEGO DREAMZzz, and the full theme is seemingly retiring later this year. Villain vehicles are undoubtedly cool, and this build includes many of the theme's new elements for 2026. That Cooper minifigure has a great head print for a custom Iron Man minifigure, too.
I'm hoping that this set will go on sale on LEGO.com at some point next month, but either way I'll be picking it up as one last celebration of this original LEGO theme. LEGO DREAMZzz will always have a place in my heart.
The final retiring set on my list is currently on back order in the UK. 76329 Miles Morales' Mask will go perfectly next to 76285 Spider-Man's Mask. Despite the similarities between the two builds, 76329 Miles Morales' Mask will be my last LEGO Marvel set for 2026, as I'm waiting for some discounts on the Doomsday wave. You can also catch up on the mask model for £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99.
There is one new LEGO November 2026 set that I intend to grab next month, though. I'm planning a trip to my local LEGO store earlier in November to grab some parts for a custom project from their Pick a Brick wall. While I'm there, I'll be acquiring 10371 Cosy Plants.
The latest in the LEGO Botanicals Happy Plants range continues the trend of cute characters, but adds accessories for the first time. These builds are always packed with charm and are affordable at £17.99 / $22.99 / €19.99.
While I'll be playing catch-up one last time next month, there are many new LEGO sets coming in November. You can browse the full list and make your own wish list by clicking here. You can stay updated on what is retiring later this year and beyond on our dedicated retiring LEGO sets page.

Free LEGO Ideas gift is available now with a Classic Space twist

The latest LEGO Ideas gift-with-purchase is available now, and you’ll want to act fast as this one is likely to be popular.
Available until November 8 or while stocks last, 40889 Build, Paint and Play can be yours with purchases of £115 / $130 / €130 or more at LEGO.com or in LEGO Stores.
The 158-piece build has plenty going for it, starting with a fantastic design packed with fun details. The cutting tool, glue, paint, brushes and decal sheet are all laid out on the cutting board, capturing the fun of the creative hobby.
Then there are the brand-new, exclusive grey helmet and air tank, marking the first time we’ve seen these elements in the modern grey colour. The teal astronaut minifigure is another draw. While it reuses a design from 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine, it’s a great-looking addition to the set.
The relatively reasonable spending threshold is another reason to be excited about 40889 Build, Paint and Play. At £115 / $130 / €130, it shouldn’t be too difficult to qualify for a gift that looks set to be well received by LEGO fans, particularly those with a soft spot for Classic Space.
The set began life as a fan design by Doomslizer, which won the Build Your Hobby LEGO Ideas competition in 2025. Now, just over a year later, the winning creation has finally arrived.
You can pair this fan-designed model with other LEGO Ideas sets while reaching the spending threshold, including 21330 Home Alone, 21359 Italian Riviera and 21353 The Botanical Garden.
40889 Build, Paint and Play is available now in the UK and across Europe, though it may take a few more hours to appear in other regions, including the US. Before confirming your purchase, double-check that the promotional set has been added to your order.

LEGO Sesame Street is back with new, free educational videos

The LEGO Sesame Street partnership lives on with a new initiative aiming to help kids discover the natural world through play using a series of videos.
The LEGO Group has announced a new initiative in partnership with Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit behind Sesame Street. This will include three new videos available for free to help educate children about the natural world with familiar characters.
“Children look after what they love, and we want to help them fall in love with nature," said Lauren von Stackelberg, VP and Head of Social Responsibility at the LEGO Group.
"Through play, something as simple as building a habitat can turn curiosity into care, and care into action. Together with Sesame Workshop, we’re helping children connect with nature and feel empowered to protect it.”
The videos will be available on the Build the Change webpage on LEGO.com, or at a later date on the Sesame Street YouTube channel. Sesame Street characters in the videos include Cookie Monster, Elmo, Grover, Oscar the Grouch and The Count.
“For generations, families have trusted Sesame Street to help children explore the world with curiosity, kindness, and joy," commented Samantha Kennedy, VP of Marketing and Brand Strategy at Sesame Workshop.
"Through engaging stories and beloved characters, we're helping children discover that their actions, no matter how small, can make a meaningful difference in caring for nature.”
Unfortunately, the press release makes it abundantly clear that this initiative does not include a LEGO set or product. It only features the free educational videos. Despite this, there has been a LEGO Sesame Street set previously in the form of 21324 123 Sesame Street, which was retired in 2022.
No further Sesame Street sets have been released since, but at least the partnership is alive and will in the form of this new initiative. No new LEGO Sesame Street sets will be coming as part of this initiative. It only includes educational videos featuring Sesame Street characters.
Other LEGO Ideas sets are available now, including the animated duo in 21371 Wallace & Gromit.

First LEGO KPop Demon Hunters set at lowest price ever

The first, and so far only, LEGO KPop Demon Hunters set is now at its lowest price ever as rumours of more Huntrix models for 2027 continue to surface.
Amazon UK has dropped 72537 Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird to its lowest price so far, months after its release. You can now pick up the iconic animated duo for £44.63 instead of £59.99. This is a 26% discount on a model with 825 pieces, which is the first build inspired by the hit Netflix film.
The set depicts the blue tiger and multi-eyed bird with some unique printed parts referencing the film. Derpy comes with a removable tongue, moving legs, a flower pot to knock over, and storage in the back of its head.
Head to Amazon UK now to grab 72537 Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird for £44.63 instead of £59.99. More LEGO KPop Demon Hunters sets are confirmed for 2027, and rumours suggest a mixed assortment of piece counts and prices.

LEGO Editions needs a Harry Kane set after Ballon d’Or win

With Harry Kane winning the 2026 Ballon d’Or, LEGO Editions has an obvious candidate for its next football set, but Alexia Putellas deserves consideration, too.
The 70th Ballon d’Or ceremony took place at the London Palladium on October 26, with Harry Kane and Alexia Putellas taking home the men’s and women’s awards respectively. Both victories offer inspiration for where the LEGO Editions theme could go next, starting with a set for England’s record-breaking captain.
Kane became the first Englishman to win the men’s Ballon d’Or since Michael Owen in 2001, capping a remarkable season with Bayern Munich. The striker scored 73 goals for club and country during the 2025/26 campaign, helping Bayern secure domestic honours and establishing himself as one of the world’s leading players.
With LEGO Editions already celebrating footballing superstars through sets such as 43013 Kylian Mbappé and 43015 Lionel Messi, Kane now feels like an obvious next addition. He has the individual accolade, the goalscoring record and the international profile to make a compelling set, while becoming the first Englishman in a quarter of a century to lift the trophy gives the release a timely hook.
Kane would also help LEGO Editions build a more complete picture of modern football. Kylian Mbappé finished second in this year's Ballon d’Or rankings, while Lamine Yamal came third. With 43036 Lamine Yamal – Football Highlights rumoured for 2027, LEGO Editions could soon represent three of the top three finishers from this year's ceremony. A Kane set would complete that trio and give England fans a major star of their own to celebrate.
Of course, the men’s game isn't the only opportunity the ceremony highlighted.
Alexia Putellas won the women’s Ballon d’Or for a third time, equalling the record for the most wins in the award’s history. The Spanish midfielder previously claimed the prize in 2021 and 2022, and her latest victory follows another outstanding season with Barcelona before her move to London City Lionesses.
Putellas is an ideal candidate to help LEGO Editions expand into women’s football. Her achievements have made her one of the defining players of her generation, and a set celebrating her career would give fans a way to recognise a side of the sport that has yet to receive the same attention from the theme.
The timing could hardly be better, either. Brazil will host the next FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2027, giving the LEGO Group a major international football event around which to build a new range. After releasing football sets ahead of the 2026 men’s World Cup, expanding into the women’s game would be a natural next step.
There is still plenty of room for LEGO Editions to explore the men’s game, too. Alongside Kane, players such as Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham have yet to receive sets, while the rumoured Lamine Yamal release could bring another major name into the line-up. The theme is still relatively new, so focusing on established male stars first is understandable. But that shouldn't prevent the LEGO Group from considering women’s players as it develops the range.
Putellas would be a particularly strong place to start, given her record and international profile. A set celebrating her would broaden the theme's appeal while recognising the growing prominence of women’s football.
For now, however, Kane looks like one of the clearest candidates for a future LEGO Editions release. His Ballon d’Or victory gives the LEGO Group a big reason to consider him, while the ceremony has also highlighted an opportunity to make the theme more representative of the sport as a whole.
As with all LEGO rumours, these possibilities remain speculative until the LEGO Group confirms them officially. No future football sets featuring any players have been confirmed at the time of writing.

LEGO’s best new minifigure for November is an easy choice ...

LEGO’s best new minifigure for November is an easy choice

November’s LEGO minifigure line-up is a little light, but one standout character makes the choice for our top pick an easy one.
On November 1, just four LEGO sets are releasing, alongside a bonus gift-with-purchase. With so few models arriving, the options are already limited, and only half of the new builds feature minifigures. Still, there are some clear standouts.
Both 21065 Sagrada Família and 10371 Cosy Plants lack minifigures. That’s to be expected of the LEGO Botanicals set, but an Antoni Gaudí minifigure, honouring the architect behind the Catalonian cathedral, would have been a nice inclusion.
Instead, the competition comes down to two LEGO Icons builds, 11390 Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku and 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood, alongside its associated gift-with-purchase, 40898 Venetian Water Taxi.
It’s easy to narrow down the best picks, too. Neither of the minifigures in 40898 Venetian Water Taxi are particularly noteworthy, and while 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood features a massive 17 minifigures, only a handful really stand out. The gondoliers are nice, complete with their straw hats, but it’s the carnival-goers who take the prize.
The blue carnival-goer, wearing a beaked mask, is a standout. It’s the only minifigure in the set with printed legs and feet, and the level of detail is impressive. The torso print is equally good, while the cape, elaborate mask, detailed face print and hat all come together to create a wonderful minifigure. The lack of arm printing is a little disappointing, but there’s still plenty to admire.
Its golden counterpart is another highlight. The detailed skirt piece is particularly impressive, complemented by a beautifully decorated gold torso and a similar face print. The elaborate hairpiece, borrowed from LEGO DREAMZzz and recoloured for this release, is also one of the best pieces in the set.
Sadly, there isn’t much else to get excited about among the Venetian minifigures. The general lack of arm and leg printing is disappointing, although there are a few nice inclusions. The flower girl’s floral apron and the violinist’s torso print are welcome details, but the rest of the lineup struggles to match the carnival-goers.
Moving on to 11390 Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku, the set features just one minifigure, but what a minifigure it is. Goku features printed feet and some detail, with the black belt on his gi cleverly continuing from his torso onto his legs. The V-neck design looks good, too, while the plain arms are a little boring but accurate to the character’s appearance.
The anime-style face print is another highlight, and the hair is particularly impressive. Translating a hairstyle typically seen in 2D animation into a three-dimensional LEGO design is no easy task, but the result really stands out.
That’s why, out of the 20 minifigures arriving this month, Goku from 11390 Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku takes the top spot. The Venetian carnival-goers are fun additions to an otherwise fairly unremarkable lineup, but our first Goku minifigure is a fantastic introduction to LEGO Dragon Ball.
It also leaves us hopeful about what the full wave of LEGO Dragon Ball sets could bring next year, particularly when it comes to the minifigures. If this first effort is anything to go by, there’s plenty of potential.
Head here for a full roundup of every LEGO set releasing in November, and let us know in the comments below which minifigure is your favourite this month.

LEGO is removing all Daft Punk LEGO Ideas projects The LEGO Group ...

LEGO is removing all Daft Punk LEGO Ideas projects

The LEGO Group is archiving Daft Punk LEGO Ideas submissions, potentially hinting at more official sets beyond the one already in development.
The apparent removals come shortly after it was confirmed that an official Daft Punk set is in development, with more news expected in 2027.
Over on X, formerly Twitter, Daft Punk Fandom shared an image of an email they received regarding their LEGO Ideas submission, Guitarship From Daft Punk & Leiji Matsumoto’s Interstella 5555, confirming that the project had been archived.
Image: Daft Punk Fandom via X
Searching for Daft Punk on LEGO Ideas now also returns no visible creations, suggesting the LEGO Group is archiving all submissions related to the electronic music duo.
The decision could have several explanations, but one possibility is that as the LEGO Group is planning further Daft Punk sets, it wants to avoid raising expectations around fan-designed models that may never reach production.
There is precedent for the LEGO Group archiving fan designs after announcing official sets based on the same properties. Multiple fan submissions featuring Shenron from Dragon Ball have disappeared from LEGO Ideas following the reveal of 11390 Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku, which releases later this week. More Dragon Ball sets are also reportedly on the way in 2027.
That makes the apparent removal of Daft Punk projects potentially encouraging news for fans hoping to see more than the already-announced set. However, it also means that submitting new Daft Punk designs to LEGO Ideas may not be an option for the time being.
Could the archiving of Daft Punk Fandom’s Guitarship mean an official set is on the way? Not necessarily. The LEGO Group has previously archived fan submissions that resemble upcoming releases, but that alone doesn’t confirm a direct connection
In August 2024, the LEGO Group removed a Donkey Kong LEGO Ideas submission featuring the video game character throwing barrels. Almost two years later, 72051 Donkey Kong Arcade was released, featuring a similar concept.
That example shows that an archived submission can sometimes point towards an official set, but it doesn't establish a direct link between the two.
For now, the disappearance of Daft Punk designs from LEGO Ideas could simply mean that the LEGO Group is preparing to explore the duo's music and visual identity through official sets. With more information expected in 2027, fans will have to wait at least a few months to find out what comes next.

Skip the queue to buy LEGO Arkham Asylum at Amazon

The first and only LEGO DC modular building, 76300 Arkham Asylum, is currently on a 60-day backorder at the official LEGO store, but there's a way to skip that.
While 76300 Arkham Asylum isn't due to be retired until next year, it's still proving to be popular directly from the LEGO Group. Ordering it now on LEGO.com, or tomorrow when 40889 Build, Paint and Play is available, will result in you waiting at most 60 days for the set to be shipped out. This may mean that you won't get the build until next year.
Those who need 76300 Arkham Asylum sooner can skip this queue entirely by shopping elsewhere. Amazon US is also stocking the modular building for the RRP of $299.99, but delivery is available as soon as tomorrow.
You won't be getting 76300 Arkham Asylum for any less, and won't receive a gift-with-purchase, but skipping a 60-day wait is a worthwhile trade. The modular model hasn't been on sale at any retailer, anyway.
76300 Arkham Asylum includes a two-storey building littered with DC references as well as a truck. It's an inverted corner modular building, unlike any other entry in the LEGO Modular Buildings Collection. It's also the only LEGO DC modular building to date, and a must-have for collectors.
76300 Arkham Asylum features several minifigures. The highlights include Batwoman, Batwing, The Riddler and Poison Ivy. These can be posed around the courtyard, inside the cells, around the common areas, or escaping from the asylum.
Head on over to Amazon US now to pick up 76300 Arkham Asylum for $299.99 and skip the 60-day wait that is currently live on LEGO.com.

Quick look: 40898 Venetian Water Taxi

Those who buy 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood as soon at it's released next week will receive 40898 Venetian Water Taxi as a gift with purchase.
It works well as a stand-alone set and it can also be attached to the Venetian scene. Some may feel that the model is not complete without the GWP, but I'm not sure if that is necessarily the case.

First look at LEGO Botanicals colouring book coming soon

A new LEGO Insiders reward has been announced in the form of a Botanicals colouring book, and fortunate fans can nearly get it for free.
The LEGO Group has revealed a new Botanicals colouring book available soon, exclusive to LEGO Insiders members. The 20-page book is filled with blank colouring pages based on real LEGO Botanicals sets. You can check out the listing on the LEGO Insiders reward centre for more details.
You'll need to provide the equipment to colour in those pages, but the book will be available for 1,000 LEGO Insiders points at some point in the future. A release date has not yet been provided. Once it has been released, you can use your points to earn a code which can then be applied to a future order on LEGO.com at checkout.
The LEGO Group is currently giving away 800 LEGO Insiders points to select fans via email. You'd only need 200 more to add the LEGO Botanicals colouring book to your next order on LEGO.com. Alternatively, 1,000 LEGO Insiders points are worth about £6.25 / $7.69 / €6.67.
There are a few new LEGO sets launching next month to help you earn the 1,000 points required for the colouring book, such as 10371 Cosy Plants. The new 40889 Build, Paint and Play gift-with-purchase also launches tomorrow. You can then apply the redeemed code to a future LEGO.com order, such as one during Black Friday next month.

Help shape future LEGO free gifts and earn Insiders points

The LEGO Group is offering Insiders points as a reward for taking part in a survey to shape the future of gifts-with-purchase.
According to The Brick Fan, a recent LEGO newsletter (subject line ‘Here comes Santa Claus’) includes an invitation to participate in a survey to ‘help shape the future of LEGO gift-with-purchase’. Any answers given will aid the LEGO Group in its future GWP strategy.
To incentivise taking part, you’ll be awarded 300 LEGO Insiders points (worth £1.88 / $2.31) for your time. It’s apparently a pretty short survey, too: all it asks is which 18+ sets you’ve bought over the past two years, whether you received any gifts-with-purchase with them, and whether those freebies influenced your decision to order.
In short: the LEGO Group wants to know if its free gifts are still providing enough incentive to buy on launch day rather than waiting for a discount. Share your thoughts and get a few points… provided you’ve received the email in the first place. Check your inbox when you get a moment.
The next gift-with-purchase landing at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores is 40889 Build, Paint and Play, which will be free with all orders above £115 / $130 / €130 from October 28. Early reviews of that one have already popped up online if you want to check it out before you order.

Eric Bauza, voice of LEGO Luke Skywalker, passes away at 46

Voice actor Eric Bauza, who portrayed Luke Skywalker in a variety of LEGO Star Wars projects, has passed away at the age of 46.
Iconic in wider pop culture for his roles as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, Bauza also voiced Luke Skywalker in The Yoda Chronicles, Droid Tales, The Freemaker Adventures, Terrifying Tales and most recently in the Disney+ special LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian.
Bauza’s family released a statement on Instagram announcing he had ‘passed away suddenly’. According to Variety, the cause of death was hypertensive cardiovascular disease.
Image: Gage Skidmore, via CC BY-SA 4.0
As well as LEGO Luke Skywalker, Bauza provided voices for a handful of characters in the short-lived Unikitty TV series, and has more than 400 acting credits to his name on IMDb. His portfolio includes titles ranging from Looney Tunes and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Transformers, Spidey and His Amazing Friends and this summer’s Coyote vs. Acme movie.
Bauza’s LEGO connection also extends to 2021’s Looney Tunes Collectible Minifigures series, as the LEGO Group gifted him two boxes to reflect his work voicing more than half the characters in the 12-strong line-up.
“Eric Bauza was a unique voice talent who brought joy and laughter to millions around the world. During his 15 years at Warner Bros. Animation,” said Channing Dungey, chairman of Warner Bros. Television Group and U.S. Networks. “He was the voice of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck among countless other characters.
“He followed in the footsteps of giants like Mel Blanc. Eric said that carrying on the legendary legacy of the Looney Tunes was among the greatest honours of his life. In addition to his incredible talent, Eric was a treasured part of our animation family. Our hearts go out to his loved ones.”
If you haven’t seen them already, you can find Bauza’s Luke Skywalker performances in various LEGO Star Wars specials on Disney+.

Best price yet on LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear: nearly £100 off

Save nearly £100 on LEGO Technic 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear – its best price yet – with an extra discount at checkout.
This summer’s 1:8-scale megacar is down to just £301.49 at Amazon UK right now thanks to an additional £18.50 discount at checkout. That’s a saving of almost £100 on its £399.99 RRP, and the best price we’ve seen it at so far. Grab yours while the going’s good.
>> Buy 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear for £301.49
LEGO Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear deals
Since racing on to shelves in July, the best price we’ve seen on 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear (until now) is £319.99, also at Amazon UK. It’s still listed there for that price, but the extra discount at checkout makes this a tough deal to pass up, particularly because it’s (in our estimations) the best LEGO Technic car at this scale yet.
That’s thanks not only to its sleek bodywork and engaging build but also its unique functions, the best of which is easily its ‘ghost mode’. Lift the rear clam and the doors and front hood will open in tandem in a single, smooth motion.
It’s difficult to see 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear getting any cheaper before Christmas, even with Black Friday right around the corner, so if you’ve been saving up for this one now’s the time to pounce at Amazon UK.

LEGO BrickLink Series 8 delivery goes wrong in the best way

The LEGO BrickLink Designer Program sets have started making their way to crowdfunders, and one fan has had their delivery go wrong in the best possible way.
Deliveries of purchased LEGO models can sometimes face obstacles, sometimes resulting in double the number of builds arriving at a doorstep. It doesn't happen often, but it's a known occurrence, apparently even for the BrickLink Designer Program. The Series 8 sets have recently started being delivered following the crowdfunding period in June.
DrKlitFace has shared their haul from Series 8, receiving two copies of 910068 University of Science, but they only ordered one. It's one of the best sets to get double of, not just because the BrickLink Designer Program models are limited-edition.
Image: DrKlitFace
They can also opt to combine both copies of the model into one massive university. The build is designed to be displayed with its two halves next to each other as a facade, or against one another as a complete building. A second copy allows you to blend both concepts into one colossal creation.
With some modifications to the path, 910068 University of Science would look great next to modular buildings, such as the retiring 10326 Natural History Museum.
However, this delivery error isn't entirely good news. Since these sets are limited-edition, it's possible that the second University of Science was intended to be delivered to someone else. Hopefully, there's some spare stock, just in case.
Either way, while you're taking in your jealousy of DrKlitFace's good luck, don't forget that crowdfunding for Series 10's sets starts in February 2027. Their final designs have been revealed in advance.

Henry Danger and Gravity falls join LEGO Ideas review

LEGO Ideas' third 2026 review has gained three more submissions overnight, including familiar Kids' TV series, and another that is more unfamiliar.
Whether you remember the name Henry Danger or are more familiar with Gravity Falls, the LEGO Ideas community has been nostalgic recently. Three more submissions have reached 10,000 supporters, all of which have a chance to become an official LEGO set.
Here's your latest update to LEGO Ideas' third 2026 review, adding three more projects to the roster.
Henry Danger: The Man Cave
Nickelodeon comedy show Henry Danger has been pitched to receive a LEGO set, with a recreation of Captain Man's Man Cave proposed by CDBuilder. The diorama features six accompanying minifigures of Henry Hart / Kid Danger, Ray Manchester / Captain Man, Charlotte Page, Jasper Dunlop, Piper Hart, and Schwoz Schwartz.
Tower Chess: Second Edition
Ferbrick1 has pitched a unique LEGO take on chess, storing everything you'd need to play the game inside of a tall tower model. It would be easier to store than the likes of 40719 Traditional Chess Set, and stand out from the crowd of typically flat LEGO chess sets.
Gravity Falls - The Mystery Shack
The LEGO Ideas community has once again come together to get a Gravity Falls submission to 10,000 supporters. This latest iteration comes from eat.sleep.build.repeat and includes the usual mix of the Mystery Shack, golf cart, Bill Cipher, and appropriate minifigures. Gravity Falls has been a consistent part of LEGO Ideas review rounds over the years, but has yet to be approved.
All three projects have joined the third 2026 review round, now sitting at 43 submissions with a chance of becoming a future set.

More LEGO Star Wars Marvel fusion contest details confirmed

The LEGO Ideas team have released the full recording of the Star Wars and Marvel crossover contest's livestream and clarified further details.
Over a week after the LEGO Star Wars and Marvel contest's Q&A livestream was held, the recording has finally been released for repeat viewing. The LEGO Ideas team have also released a blog post filled with answers to specific questions.
You can watch the full livestream's recorded VOD on the LEGO Ideas blog.
The livestream's recording is short, but offers a visual way to take in the clarifications that have been shared. The submission period for the three contests as part of the Hope Assembles campaign are now available to enter, with 17 days remaining to submit at the time of writing.
With this in mind, it will be worth reading the shared guidelines. They include clarification that the arc reactor is allowed to be referenced, but that Avengers Tower must be Stark Tower. You are also welcome to include characters that are not a fusion of Marvel Comics and Star Wars: A New Hope, but are directly from one or the other. The submission just needs to have some kind of crossover.
Other shared information includes that Banthas and the Hulkbuster count as characters, not vehicles. It has also been reiterated that absolutely any submissions that reach the three contest's fan vote stages have a chance to become an official LEGO Star Wars and Marvel fusion set.
You have until November 12 to enter submissions into the character, scene and vehicle challenges in the Hope Assembles campaign. You can find out more on the official LEGO Ideas website, and the team previously shared other clarifications for this campaign.
Once you've designed something, don't forget to catch up on the several LEGO Star Wars and Marvel sets retiring later this year, including 75389 The Dark Falcon.

New LEGO book from bestselling cartoonist launches soon

The new LEGO Nikolas Nurdblock and the Lost Brick book from the bestselling cartoonist behind the Jedi Academy series is launching soon.
The next LEGO book is right around the corner, coming from cartoonist Jeffrey Brown. You might recognise that name as the mind behind the Star Wars Jedi Academy and Darth Vader and Son books, and he's now been tasked with crafting an original LEGO story.
The 176-page novel tells the tale of Nikolas Nurdblok, the youngest in a family of adventurers searching for a legendary lost brick. The book is illustrated with Brown's signature style, and previews have been shared.
>> Click here to pre-order LEGO Nikolas Nurdblok and the Lost Brick from Amazon UK
>> Click here to pre-order LEGO Nikolas Nurdblok and the Lost Brick from Amazon US
The book is available to pre-order now for £7.99 / $14.99, but it is currently on sale at Amazon for £6.49 / $7.49, due to be released tomorrow in the US or on October 29 in the UK.
The story of Nikolas Nurdblok calls to mind the glory days of LEGO Adventurers. While that theme has since been retired, an adventurous temple build with traps is available in 76976 Spinosaurus & Quetzalcoatlus Air Mission.

LEGO is giving away £5 of LEGO Insiders points for free

LEGO fans will want to check their email as soon as possible to see if they've been rewarded with £5 worth of LEGO Insiders points for free.
The LEGO Group is giving away LEGO Insiders points again, though how widespread the giveaway is has not been confirmed. A member of the Brick Fanatics team in the UK received an email earlier today from the LEGO Group's marketing team, containing a unique code for 800 LEGO Insiders points. The subject line for the email was 'NAME, you get more with LEGO Insiders'.
The code has since been used and verified, as the £5 worth of points has been added to their account. They didn't need to do anything other than copy the code and paste it into the activities section of the LEGO Insiders webpage. You have until the end of the year to redeem the code, but doing so takes less than a minute.
This is unlike the last LEGO Insiders points giveaway, where completion of a survey is said to be rewarded with 300 points, worth £1.88 / $2.31. We don't know which LEGO Insiders members have been sent the newsletter, but it will be worth checking your email over the next few days to see if you have been chosen.
The 800 LEGO Insiders points can be used towards exclusive rewards and sets, or a discount on a future purchase. They're useful to stock up on ahead of Black Friday next month, as well as the upcoming 40889 Build, Paint and Play gift-with-purchase coming later this week.

11388 Venetian Neighbourhood minifigures

11388 Venetian Neighbourhood includes a whopping 17 minifigures and while they are not the focus of the set, or a reason to consider buying it, they do enable you to 'bring stories to life' according to LEGO, if that's something you like to do with your sets.
The model itself leaves a lot to be desired, as you will have discovered in my review, but that's not the case for the minifigures: they are both plentiful and pleasing.

Five LEGO DC minifigures that have shot up in price thanks to HBO’s Lanterns

HBO’s Lanterns TV series has sent the prices of five LEGO DC minifigures skyrocketing, including a rare John Stewart Green Lantern from 2017.
While the LEGO Group has failed to market any tie-in sets for the HBO show (which, to be fair, is probably a bit too adult for the DC line regardless of its lack of Bat-characters), the back catalogue of DC minifigures does include a few relevant faces – and as demand for them has risen, so too have their aftermarket prices.
Here are five LEGO DC minifigures that have suddenly become a lot more expensive thanks to the on-screen exploits of Hal Jordan, John Stewart and company…
5 – Sinestro
The second and more detailed version of LEGO Sinestro originally appeared in the DC Super Heroes Collectible Minifigures series in 2020, and in August was still fetching an average price of £10 new on BrickLink. As of October that’s increased to an average of £16.17 new, and the cheapest starting price at the time of writing is £20 plus postage – which means his value has effectively doubled since the show debuted mid-August.
4 – Simon Baz
It’s not just the characters that actually appear in Lanterns that have increased in price over the past few months: interest in Green Lantern minifigures in general seems pretty high right now, reflected in the skyrocketing value of Simon Baz (also from 2020’s Minifigures series). In August average BrickLink sales were at £10.97 new; by October they’re up to £26.03, with only a couple of new examples available for under £30.
3 – Jessica Cruz
Another Green Lantern minifigure benefiting from wider exposure to these DC characters (rather than from appearing directly in the show), Jessica Cruz – who was available exclusively with DVD and Blu-ray copies of Aquaman: Rage of Atlantis in 2018 – has jumped in average price from £21.75 new in July to £28.82 in October (at BrickLink). Not quite as dramatic as some, but notable all the same.
2 – Hal Jordan
Now we’re getting into the big leagues, kicking off with the one and only regular Hal Jordan Green Lantern LEGO minifigure to date. This version originally appeared in 2015’s 76025 Green Lantern vs. Sinestro, and in May this year sold for an average price of £22.40 at BrickLink. By August that had jumped to £30.50, and come October he’s selling for an average of £54.46.
The cheapest new example right now is a staggering £52.94 (plus delivery from Portugal). That’s a 136% increase on the average price only five months ago – and it’s hard to see it coming down until we get another LEGO Green Lantern minifigure. And in an era dominated by Batman, who knows when that will be?
1 – John Stewart
Hal Jordan’s aftermarket performance is impressive, no doubt, but it’s the up-and-coming John Stewart who really takes the cake. Just one new copy sold on BrickLink in May 2026, for £40.66, and by July he was fetching an average price of £73.55. Fast forward to October and that value has shot up to an eye-watering £109.80, with the cheapest new example commanding a price of £100.46 (plus shipping).
It’s perhaps little surprise given a) the character’s prominence in the Lanterns TV series and b) the rarity of the original LEGO minifigure. John Stewart was only available in the DC Super Heroes – Build Your Own Adventure book in 2017, and as such has become incredibly sought-after on the secondary market.
Want a complete collection of these LEGO Green Lantern minifigures today? You’re looking at a total average asking price of £235.28. Good news if you’ve got them all already and want to cash in, but bad news if you’re starting from scratch…
Lanterns is streaming in full now on HBO (and platforms that carry HBO shows, such as NOW TV). Looking for LEGO DC sets? It’s all Batman all the time right now, with the latest example being September’s 76355 Batman Returns Batmobile. January 2027’s sets are also available to pre-order in some regions, including 67012 The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover.

November is just a week away, and with only a handful of sets launching, we’ve gathered them all in one place for your convenience.
While it may not be the biggest LEGO release month of the year, November still has some fantastic sets in store. From the biggest LEGO set ever by piece count to the introduction of one of anime’s most iconic worlds, there’s plenty to look forward to.
All sets will be available to LEGO Insiders from November 1, with everyone else able to get their hands on them from November 4. New Avengers: Doomsday footage makes one LEGO omission sting

Our latest look at Avengers: Doomsday has once again highlighted one of the biggest missed opportunities in the movie’s initial wave of LEGO sets.
During Game 1 of the 2026 MLB World Series, Marvel unveiled another teaser for the first Avengers film in seven years, featuring previously unseen footage. However, it’s a moment involving the Fantastic Four that will sting most for LEGO fans.
The scene features Reed Richards taking to the mound to throw the ceremonial first pitch, which he does so by completely stretching out his arm. It’s another reminder of the character’s most distinctive ability, and one that the LEGO Group has yet to recreate in its latest minifigure.
Image: Discussing Film via X
The LEGO Group introduced its second minifigure of the Fantastic Four’s leader in 76348 Epic Battle: Avengers: Doomsday, improving on the version included in the retiring 76316 Fantastic Four vs. Galactus Construction Figure. The newer minifigure features an improved face print, better hair, and, crucially, elongated legs.
Stretchy arms remain the missing piece, though the LEGO Group has already demonstrated that it can produce elongated limbs. For example, 75638 Battle at Arlong Park includes Monkey D. Luffy with extended arms, making their absence from Reed Richards all the more noticeable.
This isn’t a new request from fans, but every fresh glimpse of Reed Richards using his powers on screen makes the omission harder to ignore. With the character’s elastic limbs playing such a recognisable role in his superhero identity, they feel like a natural fit for a minifigure that has already received several improvements.
Still, the missing feature doesn’t take away from what is otherwise a fantastic line-up of LEGO Avengers: Doomsday sets. With the movie’s highly anticipated release approaching, fans can choose from playsets such as 76352 Avengers: Doomsday New Avengers Tower and 76347 Avengers: Doomsday Quinjet, or opt for a display-focused model with 76345 Doctor Doom Bust.

LEGO Ideas gets spooky with Beetlejuice and The Addams Family

LEGO Ideas is getting into the spooky spirit as Halloween approaches, with two iconic creepy franchises joining the third review of 2026.
The LEGO Group is no stranger to the macabre, and LEGO Ideas is embracing two spooky franchises that already have LEGO connections in one form or another.
First up is BrickStability, whose fantastic Beetlejuice (1988) model has now joined the 10,000-vote club. The project recreates the Deetz family home, showcasing some of the movie’s most iconic rooms and scenes.
With 10 minifigures, including Betelgeuse, Adam, Barbara, the Deetz family and more, the build is packed with references to the film. It also features two afterlife settings, the Lost Souls Room and the Waiting Room.
We’ve seen LEGO Beetlejuice before in the form of 71349 Beetlejuice Fun Pack for LEGO Dimensions, but we’ve yet to see a large-scale set dedicated to the franchise.
The other spooky submission comes from Dreamnbricks, with The Addams Family also joining the latest LEGO Ideas review. The project was also developed by BRICKUP and iTavix.
Inspired by the mansion from the early 1990s movies, the build also features references to the classic 1960s TV series. With approximately 4,703 pieces, it’s a huge model that includes eight minifigures representing the main family and captures the gothic charm of their home.
While we’ve never received a LEGO set based directly on The Addams Family, the LEGO Group has released builds inspired by Netflix’s Wednesday, including 76787 Wednesday Backpack and 76788 Nevermore Academy, which both launched earlier this month. A set based on the wider Addams Family franchise wouldn’t be an entirely unexpected next step.
Both builds will now have to wait until the third review of 2026 closes in early January 2027 before the LEGO Group reviews the submissions and selects the designs that will become official sets. They bring the total number of projects in this review to 40, and you can find all the other submissions in the table below.

Basketball sets could solve LEGO Editions’ biggest problem

With LEGO Editions now rumoured to expand into the world of basketball, it’s time the theme brought some playability to its display-focused line-up.
While the new celebrity-focused LEGO theme has largely been display models so far, rumoured basketball sets could be the perfect opportunity to change that.
Sets such as 43012 Cristiano Ronaldo and 43029 Olivia Rodrigo’s Concert Moon are great builds, but there’s limited room for play. The LEGO Group has already tackled that challenge with basketball sets in the past, and it could take inspiration from its own back catalogue.
In the early 2000s, the LEGO Group released a huge wave of basketball sets, with 3433 The Ultimate NBA Arena among the most ambitious. The theme introduced licensed minifigures of real-life athletes, including Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal, with realistic skin tones, but its biggest innovation was how the figures actually played.
The minifigures came with specially moulded, spring-loaded bases that let players pull them back and release them to shoot the ball. Their legs were designed to aid shooting, while custom, flexible hands helped them hold the tiny basketball. These weren’t just display models, but sets built first and foremost for playing basketball.
The LEGO Group probably won’t bring back that exact system. Specialised parts can be expensive to produce, and mechanisms like these can wear down over time. However, the original sets prove that LEGO Basketball can offer something beyond a model to admire on a shelf.
That balance is particularly important for LEGO Editions, which could appeal to both adult collectors and younger fans. Basketball already bridges those audiences, so sets that let builders recreate the sport, rather than simply display its biggest stars, could give the theme a much broader appeal.
That doesn’t mean every set needs to become a full basketball game. A small court, a couple of players and a working hoop could be enough to encourage imaginative play while keeping the finished model worthy of display. That would give a potential basketball line-up something that a buildable character such as 43015 Lionel Messi can’t offer on its own: a way to interact with the finished build.
The recently released 11374 Arcade Pinball Machine is a useful example of how that balance can work. It looks fantastic as a standalone display model, but it also functions as a playable pinball machine. LEGO Basketball could take a similar approach, creating sets that are just as enjoyable to use as they are to show off.
By borrowing a little from its own basketball history, the LEGO Group could give LEGO Editions a new dimension without abandoning its display-focused identity. It’s an opportunity to make the theme more interactive, appeal to a wider audience and bring something genuinely different to the line-up.
Of course, LEGO Basketball sets have yet to be officially confirmed by the LEGO Group. For now, the possibility remains a rumour, so take it with a pinch of salt.

Parts from LEGO's Venetian Neigbourhood I want to see on Pick a Brick

LEGO 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood may be too expensive for this fan, but there are still some elements from it that I need to see on Pick a Brick.
While I love the architecture and techniques showcased in 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood, the 5,682-piece model is too big and expensive for my collection at £449.99 / $549.99 / €499.99. Despite this obstacle, there are some parts of the set that I'm still hoping to pick up.
The online Pick a Brick service can be useful for featuring parts debuting exclusively in sets, and that will ideally continue with 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood a few months after the November 2026 build is released.
Read on for a list of my personal favourite elements in 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood, all of which I'm hoping to see land on Pick a Brick in the future. These elements are not currently confirmed to appear on the service. However, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that at least the first entry will be available to order individually.
Transparent blue angled tiles
The first detail that caught my eye in 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood wasn't the huge buildings, the two masked minifigures, or even the assortment of pigeons scattered throughout the build. What grabbed my attention immediately was the water and the new assortment of transparent blue angled tiles.
These would have been useful to have for many prior projects, but I'm happy to see such an innovation finally debut. The two-stud deep variant is my preferred of the two pictured above, but I'd be pleased with either landing on Pick a Brick.
The gold and black cash register
The gold and black cash register sloped piece featured in 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood is another interesting element. I can see this part being useful in a wide assortment of sets.
It wouldn't be surprising to see it used outside of 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood in the future, but for now I'd like to see it on Pick a Brick.
The transparent blue fishbowl helmet
It's hard to tell whether the two minifigure helmets in the front of the glass sculpture shop in 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood are the same colour as Mysterio's dome in 76342 Spider-Man vs. Mysterio: The Daily Bugle.
Provided they aren't, these would be great additions to Pick a Brick for all kinds of uses. My first thought was for underwater bubbles in aquatic scenes, but they'd work for magical effects and more, too.
A small segment of the zodiac clock
As much as I love the intricate design of the zodiac clock in 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood, I don't think the LEGO Group would add the main printed feature of the clock to Pick a Brick. However, I can imagine the curved tiles around the edge making their way to the service.
They would come in handy for floor detailing in grandiose buildings, or even as part of spell circles in a wizard's tower. Since the intricate tiles from 10359 Fountain Garden landed on Pick a Brick and have been used in other sets, hopefully this tile receives the same treatment.
The red minifigure torso
Pick a Brick has been generous with featuring unlicensed LEGO minifigure parts found only in specific sets as of late. This will ideally continue with the red torso that the violin player is wearing in 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood.
The design isn't easy to see fully in official imagery, but it would be great for many custom minifigures, though I'd love to use it for a troupe of bards.
The proper Dapper Dan hat
At the top of my wish list for 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood parts I'd like to see on Pick a Brick is a returning LEGO minifigure hat. The angled light brown hat first seen in 43302 Main Street, U.S.A. is back next month with a red ribbon and bow.
This would have been perfect for the Dapper Dan minifigures in 43302 Main Street, U.S.A., and Disney collectors will hopefully be able to go back and upgrade them using Pick a Brick.
Anything from that golden minifigure
Rounding out my wish list is anything from the golden masked minifigure in 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood. The headwear is returning from LEGO DREAMZzz, but it has not been added to Pick a Brick so far. While I don't imagine that changing with this new gold recolour, the upside-down controller mask would be amazing to see on the service.
The head, torso and dress prints are equally great and would be useful. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see the entirety of this specific minifigure remaining exclusive to 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood.
11388 Venetian Neighbourhood launches on November 1 for £449.99 / $549.99 / €499.99. It will be accompanied by a free 40898 Venetian Water Taxi GWP from November 1, while stocks last.

LEGO House Designer Evening exclusive builds revealed

Two new LEGO House-exclusive models have been revealed, given away at Designer Fan Evening events, but you're free to recreate them at home.
Rarest_lego_minifigures on Instagram has shared images of two event-exclusive LEGO sets offered only at recent LEGO House events. The Billund attraction has been hosting regular LEGO House Designer Evenings for a limited number of fans recently, all of which have included a building experience directly with designers.
The fruits of two of these building experiences have now been revealed on Instagram, though it has not been confirmed which of the events these belong to. The first to be shared by the Instagram user, who is known for collecting extremely rare LEGO items, is an up-scaled Blacktron Spacebaby figure.
The model is similar to 40767 Up-Scaled Baby Astronaut, but with a visor and brick-built details on the torso. Try not to question why a baby has joined the antagonistic forces of Blacktron.
Images: rarest_lego_minifigures
A space-centric evening was held in April earlier this year, which seems like a likely place to give away the Blacktron baby build. More recently, the user has shared images of a build including a pair of hot rod-style cars based on the LEGO House and a LEGO delivery truck.
Images: rarest_lego_minifigures
This duo of cars is likely to have come from the car-based event that took place in June. This model comes with two minifigures and some rare printed pieces, though they can be found in sets on sale at LEGO House.
Neither build appears to use any exclusive parts or entirely unique prints. Should their instructions be shared or surface online, it won't be impossible to mostly recreate them with parts you have at home, or acquire via Pick a Brick.
The up-scaled Blacktron Spacebaby build will be a particularly popular model either way, pairing with the likes of 40767 Up-Scaled Baby Astronaut and 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure.
Should these reveals have been the excuse you've been looking for to take part in a LEGO House Designer Evening, there's another one taking place on December 7 for the Modular Buildings Collection.

Sold-out retiring LEGO sets available for less at Scheels ...

Sold-out retiring LEGO sets available for less at Scheels

Retiring LEGO sets leaving shelves soon continue to sell out on the official online store, but a few interesting models are still available at Scheels.
Many LEGO sets retiring at the end of 2026 are going out of stock, some for good, week after week on the official online LEGO store. However, there's still an opportunity for US collectors to grab a handful of these builds via Scheels.
This includes LEGO Harry Potter's original book nook. 76450 Book Nook: Hogwarts Express features 832 elements and two minifigures, and is no longer available online from the LEGO Group. It would usually cost $99.99, but Scheels has stock remaining for $79.99.
This iconic part of Harry's story has been recreated in a multi-purpose display build ideal to slot between the books on your shelf, or act as bookends. Scheels is also offering free delivery on 76450 Book Nook: Hogwarts Express while they have copies left.
Switching to Marvel, the US retailer also has copies of 76315 Iron Man's Laboratory: Hall of Armor available with a 20% discount. It has been reduced from $54.99 to $43.99, including 384 pieces and five minifigures.
The minifigure selection includes Aldrich Killian, who has been redesigned to be much more accurate than his initial minifigure. The builds include a standalone Hall of Armour display, with some empty spots to add your own suits. Free shipping is also available on 76315 Iron Man's Laboratory: Hall of Armor at Scheels.
Rounding out the selection in this report is 76304 Batman Forever Batmobile. Scheels only has a few copies of this set left, after it sold out on the official online store. They're offering it for $79.99 instead of $99.99.
The build depicts a big model of the Batmobile from Batman Forever using 909 pieces. It features one exclusive minifigure of Batman's outfit from the film, displayed on an individual stand. Pick up this set and more retiring creations at Scheels now while stocks last.

Catch up on discounted retiring LEGO Star Wars Dark Falcon

LEGO Star Wars 75389 The Dark Falcon is due to be retired soon, taking the minifigures with it, but it's still in stock and on sale at two UK retailers.
75389 The Dark Falcon is a remixed iteration of the Millennium Falcon based on Rebuild the Galaxy. It features 1,579 pieces that make up the twisted version of the iconic ship, and six minifigures. While it would usually cost £159.99, it is now £107.99 at Amazon.
The model is only on sale for £119.99, but there is an additional £12 being taken off at checkout at the time of writing. That's equivalent to a 32% total discount, just months before it is retired. It's also worth noting that 75389 The Dark Falcon is currently out of stock on LEGO.com, and this may well be the best final price for the build.
LEGO Star Wars 75389 The Dark Falcon comes with a detailed interior to explore, changing the usual format of the ship in accordance with the dark nature of the vessel.
The set also includes six minifigures, featuring Darth Jar Jar, Bounty Hunter C-3PO, Darth Dev, Darth Rey, Beach Luke and Jedi Vader. None of these minifigures appears in any other set in these outfits, and it's unlikely that they'll be available again.
Don't miss out on the unique 75389 The Dark Falcon before it is retired by the end of the year, with restocks increasingly unlikely as that date approaches. It's currently available for £107.99 at Amazon, who are price-matching Very.

Review: 11388 Venetian Neighbourhood

11388 Venetian Neighbourhood is this year's 'mega set' that's being released in time for the holiday season.
It's stylistically similar to last year's Ideas model 21359 Italian Riviera, but much larger. It's also the second retail set to contain a 3D-printed element, a 'functional' piano, the first being last year's Winter Village set.
The model is billed as being for 'travel lovers' and is 'inspired by the canals and architecture of the legendary city'. However, I suspect that anyone who's actually been there would have had the same thoughts as me when I first saw it: 'I don't remember seeing a tower like that in Venice'...

Seven sets to qualify for upcoming LEGO Classic Space gift A new ...

Seven sets to qualify for upcoming LEGO Classic Space gift

A new LEGO Classic Space gift-with-purchase is right around the corner, and with only a few days to prepare, here are the top sets to qualify for the free item.
40889 Build, Paint and Play has been officially revealed ahead of its October 28 release. It will be available with purchases of £115 / $130 / €130 on LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores. It includes an element that we've been waiting 22 years to return, and is therefore likely to be highly popular next week.
The best time to start planning your purchase to be fully prepared for October 28 is now, and here are our suggested sets to overcome that threshold easily, while catching up on some standout models.
11379 Bookshop: Book Nook
Price: £119.99 / $149.99 / €129.99 Pieces: 1,690 Minifigures: 2
11379 Bookshop: Book Nook is the latest LEGO book nook build and one of the first wholly original designs by the LEGO Group. It recreates the inside of a cosy multi-storey bookshop with plenty of homages to discover, and two minifigures to pose.
It costs £119.99 / $149.99 / €129.99, so will require something small such as a key chain or minifigure in the US and parts of Europe. It's otherwise an ideal pick for a free 40889 Build, Paint and Play, and was only launched recently.
76344 Iron Man Mark 3 Collectors' Edition
Price: £119.99 / $129.99 / €129.99 Pieces: 1,297 Minifigures: 1
LEGO Marvel's 76344 Iron Man Mark 3 Collectors' Edition is one of the most stunning superhero figure models currently available. It includes a huge figure of Iron Man's iconic armour, as well as a matching minifigure.
It can be yours for £119.99 / $129.99 / €129.99, so it will similarly require an additional purchase in the US and Europe, but nothing too costly.
11382 Hubble Space Telescope
Price: £119.99 / $139.99 / €129.99 Pieces: 1,252 Minifigures: 1
11382 Hubble Space Telescope is unusually priced at £119.99 / $139.99 / €129.99, making it a great pick for both the UK and US audiences. This NASA and ESA build is a detailed depiction of the real telescope with intricate printed parts, an accurate interior and an exclusive astronaut.
You can pose the build on the display stand in multiple ways to create an astounding space-centric display in your home. 11382 Hubble Space Telescope looks particularly good next to the many tribute gifts-with-purchase.
72168 Rayquaza
Price: £119.99 / $129.99 / €129.99 Pieces: 1,083 Minifigures: 1
72168 Rayquaza is one of the first LEGO Pokémon sets to feature a minifigure, including Zinnia with accurate printed details. The tall green dragon build costs £119.99 / $129.99 / €129.99 for 1,083 pieces.
Rayquaza can be displayed individually, but looks best on the Sky Pillar stand, complete with clouds swirling around the build to hide certain elements.
21370 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial
Price: £119.99 / $139.99 / €129.99 Pieces: 1,226 Minifigures: 0
21370 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is another good pick for fans in the US and UK. It can be yours for £119.99 / $139.99 / €129.99 with 1,226 pieces and a light brick.
The LEGO Ideas model pays tribute to the iconic movie by recreating the titular alien character with multiple moving parts and a flower pot accessory. It's sci-fi nature is also in-line with the Classic Space aspect of 40889 Build, Paint and Play.
75398 C-3PO
Price: £124.99 / $139.99 / €139.99 Pieces: 1,138 Minifigures: 1
Sticking to space-based characters, LEGO Star Wars' 75398 C-3PO is expensive enough to qualify for the gift-with-purchase in all regions when the offer starts.
The £124.99 / $139.99 / €139.99 build depicts a tall figure of the protocol droid alongside a minifigure of the character, as well as an informative plaque and anniversary element.
11390 Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku
Price: £129.99 / $179.99 / €139.99 Pieces: 1,764 Minifigures: 1
We don't have a current end date for the free 40889 Build, Paint and Play. However, since it is due to begin being available on October 28, it will likely be on offer past the early LEGO Insiders launch of 11390 Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku on November 1.
This initial LEGO Dragon Ball set performed well in our review, featuring a giant model of Shenron, all seven Dragon Balls, and a Goku minifigure. Keep this set in mind ahead of the release of 40889 Build, Paint and Play next week, surpassing the threshold in all three regions at £129.99 / $179.99 / €139.99.

The biggest LEGO Star Wars SMART Play set is now half price

LEGO Star Wars 75427 Throne Room Duel & A-Wing is the biggest SMART Play set, including two of the electronic elements, and it's now nearly half price.
The original Star Wars wave of SMART Play sets has been slowly but surely dropping in price since their launch earlier this year, and now one of the All-in-One builds is almost half the cost. 75427 Throne Room Duel & A-Wing is included in Amazon UK's additional 10% off at checkout offer. This takes the reduced cost of £84.99 down to £76.49, instead of the £139.99 RRP.
The 962-piece set includes the Death Star's throne with a lightsaber duel feature, hence why the set needs two SMART Bricks. The electronic components in this models include the two SMART Bricks, a single charger for both, three SMART Minifigures and five SMART Tags.
Those SMART Tags can activate the A-Wing, chair and turret builds, or be used in custom creations. This is the most comprehensive SMART Play model on shelves currently. Those who want to dive into the platform with multiple options can pick up the 75427 Throne Room Duel & A-Wing for £76.49 instead of £139.99 on Amazon now.
That includes the additional 10% off at checkout, which is available and clearly stated on the listing at the time of writing.

LEGO Editions rumoured to be adding Lamine Yamal to its squad

Multiple LEGO Editions sets are already rumoured to be on the way in 2027, including the first-ever build based on Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal.
The LEGO Editions line-up for next year is starting to take shape, with numerous models rumoured to be arriving in the first few months of 2027. Adding to that list of potential sets is 43036 Lamine Yamal – Football Highlights, the first brick-built offering based on the young Barcelona player.
Those initial details come via the usually reliable a.clay.brick (via Brick Tap), who reports that the LEGO Editions release will be part of an initial wave of models that may be arriving in January. There are no hints at this stage regarding specific prices or piece counts, although similar previous builds from the theme might provide some indication of what to expect.
43011 Lionel Messi – Football Highlights, 43012 Cristiano Ronaldo – Football Highlights, 43013 Kylian Mbappé – Football Highlights and 43027 Vini Jr. – Football Highlights all dropped earlier this summer, just in time for the FIFA World Cup 2026 tournament.
All four of those models were priced at £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99 and ranged from 490 to 510 pieces, so we might be looking at something similar for the rumoured 43036 Lamine Yamal – Football Highlights, although that’s just speculation at this point.
The quartet of existing LEGO Editions sets feature detailed diorama bases with the names and colours of each player’s teams, as well as multiple Easter eggs and a minifigure of the relevant sporting superstar to accompany the builds.
Whether the rumoured 43036 Lamine Yamal – Football Highlights will follow a similar design for Barcelona’s number 10 winger isn’t known at this stage, but we’ll know more for sure in the coming months.

Spooky saving to be had on LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Haunted Mansion

Amazon UK has reduced the price of 31167 Haunted Mansion by almost 30%, representing a significantly scary saving on the LEGO Creator 3-in-1 set.
It’s almost the spookiest season of the year and there are plenty of LEGO sets available that would be perfect Halloween purchases. One of those highlights is 31167 Haunted Mansion, with the LEGO Creator 3-in-1 model currently available from Amazon UK with an impressive 29% discount.
>> Buy 31167 Haunted Mansion for £56.99
Is 31167 Haunted Mansion worth buying for £56.99 from Amazon UK?
While all eyes may currently be on the recently-released 11383 Mayor Manor, the LEGO Icons build is something of a spiritual successor to 31167 Haunted Mansion. Not only does the 736-piece LEGO Creator 3-in-1 set represent a more affordable build, but its trio of constructs provide plenty of play display options.
For instance, in addition to the main model, 31167 Haunted Mansion can also be assembled as a frightening Haunted Train or a ghoulish Haunted Ship. What’s more, the LEGO Creator 3-in-1 model also boasts five minifigures, with the set’s ghost featuring a highly-effective glow-in-the-dark cloak element.
You can add a copy of 31167 Haunted Mansion to your Halloween collection by clicking through to Amazon UK and purchasing the LEGO Creator 3-in-1 build for £56.99, while stocks last.
As an Amazon associate, Brick Fanatics may earn from qualifying purchases.
