the struggle is real, i haven't practiced enough Bird in Flight photos where the birds are actually flying across the sky as opposed to flying in to a regular perch or feeding spot (i'm using a 400mm lens = suboptimal for distant birds)

this one was shot from the canoe, so it was take the shot or not take the shot... the birds were not gonna stop & perch on our heads 🤣

i don't know what hummingbird they are illustrating but i think this was brought home in hummingbirds when a VERY widespread & (we thought) well-known hummingbird, the white-necked jacobin, was discovered that if you did the DNA test, around 10-20% of the birds in "male" plumage were "females" (capable of laying eggs)

there is literally no peaceful legal mechanism left, public corruption by GOPs has been institutionalized

the structure of the US Constitution means that demanding more parties is a divide & conquer tactic that serves only the status quo

ir was written years after the country's founding largely by plantation owners for plantation owners, thus deliberately constructed to favor the rural elites ... for "progressives" to demand more than 2 parties means in practice for "progressives" to divide the under-represented in order hand over even more power to the status quo...

i'm gonna respectfully disagree & bow out of this discussion, i have a face made for radio myself but i am not vain enough to think that somebody making deserved mockery of a fascist is a comment on MY looks -- it's a directed attack on the ego of a kind of person, the right-wing conservative who cares ONLY about looks -- it is not an attack on somebody who is deeper than their looks

my opinion only & maybe i'm totally wrong BUT i actually think it's OK to make fun of people's looks when they've made a choice to look a certain way... getting lip injections is a choice, wearing WAY too much orange bronzer is a choice... how people chose to present themselves to the world does speak to who they are, & it is only human nature to hear what they're saying & respond to that if it's goofy
