2/x Another time, it was Windows. I looked at the criteria for it working on my computer, but was unwilling to upgrade. A year or so later, the price fell where I said ok, I'll pay to upgrade because the current windows was choking on updates. I paid and found out it would not install. I demanded my money back. They refused. To this day, all they agreed to do was give me credits for more of their garbage. I'm open source Linux now. And, much happier not having to deal with it.

When I tried to shut it down, I couldn't remember the password or email the account was tied to. Yes, it is my bad here for poor record keeping. However, I couldn't get through by phone to a human.
