Great audio is in the ear of the listener! I had a half-decent stereo (mid-fi) and much preferred analog-recorded vinyl to CD. If you line up a song like Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac on CD and vinyl, same volume, the vinyl will sound much better. Less bass, but warmer, more pleasing to the ears. Digitally recorded material will be better on CD, best on super-audio CD.
