Fuck em.<br/><br/>The colliqually nicknamed &#34;Boomer Bailout&#34;, aka the Ballistic Recovery System, a key selling feature for this thing, is heavy, prohibitively expensive to maintain (compulsory replacement every 5 years at a cost of at least $25 grand) and completely unnecessary, especially given that if deployed, the aircraft will likely be written off.<br/>&gt;Gee, if only spin recovery was a thing on checkrides &amp; BFR&#39;s again, folks wouldn&#39;t need a spin chute. I get the rationale behind it, but if you as an OEM think you need this piece of shit in the bird that only drives owners&#39; insurance premiums and cost of ownership through the roof, what&#39;s wrong with the airplane?<br/><br/>All in all, despite having done some part repair work on them in the past, this was the first time I really got to closely examine one of these in person. Although we&#39;ll have retractable landing gear and a different aerodynamic, avionics &amp; propulsion package, I&#39;m very pleased that many of our engineering concepts &amp; solutions are similar to those seen on the Cirrus; it means we&#39;re on the right track.<br/><br/>I still cannot fathom buying one of these, as they drink fuel heavily, are expensive to maintain &amp; insure...and that is
