Even as a new user it was clear as day for me that centealized clients are something to be avoided if you don't like censorship. Because they can censor and usually when something can censor it eventually does.
I think it's cool of Steam part though, to allow such customizations.. meanwhile on PS5 you can't even use banner anymore

I am sure it will eventually be fixed but I am not willing to use a distro that hasn't fixed it and lacks good channels for me to report it. Its not a me issue when it works fine on last years builds and the livecd can't even starr.
Problem is, nothing else that is out there is something I like for desktop linux. So for now I only use linux on my servers, docker images and thin client distro (which I made myself). All of them are Debian with an exception for some dockers which needed to be ubuntu for compatibility.
This entire culture is just an emergent consequence of the bitcoin community outsourcing their brains to influencers years ago.
