When the people try to expose a high profile individual for pedophilia or some other heinous act, the reason why the MSM and street cops never follow through with investigations is because they are overruled by those further up the chain. You are stepping on the toes of those who use that very information to blackmail those high profile individuals, so exposing their crimes eliminates any leverage they may have.
