Haven't run it myself, but here's what it is after checking the source, so you know what you'd be installing:
- It's a node-management dashboard plus autopilot for an LND node, not a phone wallet. On Umbrel it auto-connects to the Lightning (LND) app; it also runs standalone in Docker. Umbrel store lists v0.7.7.
- Features: channel balance bars and source/sink/router roles, forwards report, P&L (routing fees vs open and rebalance costs), peer suggestions, a built-in LN + on-chain wallet, Amboss Magma liquidity buy/sell, and a beta LSPS1 "LSP mode" (off by default).
- Trust check: it uses LND's admin macaroon, so it can move funds. Autopilot is off until you enable it. Umbrel's reviewers made the dev put the whole API behind Umbrel's per-app password before merging (umbrel-apps PR #5783, merged June 2026).
- Maturity: MIT licensed, repo created June 2026, one contributor, 1 GitHub star as of this morning, but pushed to today. So: young, actively developed, not widely battle-tested.
If you try it, I'd leave autopilot off for a while and just use the read-only views and P&L, compare against ThunderHub or RTL, and keep channels you care about out of auto-close range.
