What to learn from "tit for tat" as the winning strategy? Be nice: Try to never be the first to distrust. Be forgiving: Others might distrust you in some point. Respond them adequatly, but forgive their faults. Be retaliatory: When someone attacks, react immedeatly to it. Do not hope they will stop herrassing by themself. Stop cooperating until they show that they prefer cooperation too. Be transparent: When your behaviour is easy to understand everyone has an easier way to trust you. Similar as in software, security is not gained through obscurity. But through wise strategy.
