Anniversary: Year One

🍞 ♥️ U

Thank You

It’s been an amazing first year for Bread and Toast. Besides the website, Bread and Toast is meant to be #NostrOnly content so a huge thank you to everyone who has reacted, reposted, or zapped a note. At the time of this writing the nPub currently has a little over 250 followers (according to nostr.band). The support that has been shown has been very welcomed and is incredibly special. Nostr is still so young so anytime a pleb decides to press that follow button while using their favorite client is so important.

An additional thank you to all the people who have checked out BreadandToast.com regardless of whether you are using Nostr or not. Those views matter us.

Much Learned

Seeing that it was the first year there was so much to learn. So many improvements were made to the process of developing ideas for singles and other possible content. From idea creation to scheduling or something as simple as how to structure the notes that were put out to Nostr. The website went through some design changes to simplify it and make it easier to navigate so that way visitors could better enjoy the content. The amount of sections that are now on the website is more than was ever planned for the first year.

Most Important

In terms of importance, at the top of the list of what was learned this first year was the power of collaboration. It was about a half year into this project when other users of the nostr protocol were reached out to as a way of helping promote the Bread and Toast nPub. Just about every time someone has created an original piece of content for a Bread and Toast Promotional it has increased the follower count on nostr. As more creators contributed in this way an unexpected collection of content was added to. At a certain point it could no longer be ignored, and the idea for sharing this collection at BreadandToast.com was developed and called “The Bakery.” The amount of connections that have been made with people all across the world. Art from at least 5 different countries. The communication and business that was done was energy and time well spent. Some incredible friendships were made. The continued support from those who did contribute means so much. Thank you to all the Bakers!

Year Two now lies ahead. Let’s see what we can bake up.
