I used to live in Boise, ID. I would sit out on a downtown cafe patio on Friday and Saturday nights with the regulars, drinking and enjoying the chaos of the bar goers. Sunday morning would roll around and the city was deserted, all the cars and people dissolved away to prepare for the work week or attend church. I know it’s a drop in the bucked compared to a city like Cairo but I feel like I can appreciate the contrast, the bliss of being capable of passing from point a to b without so much shoulder bumping.
