outliers:
in a lab the experimenters measure the height of a human, people come, get measured, and leave, the experimenters enter the data and rebuild the histogram
then suddenly somebody enters the lab riding a horse, the experimenters don't notice it and measure the person's height without him/her getting of the horse
then things get back to normal
