Aurora, you came to me last night as in a dream
I recognized you mostly through smell
your round complex plumeria-scented sweat

Never anything not particular about you
You'd come to the dance with another but how could you not?
that didn't matter though maybe it did. We had our dance.

You remember that waltz that we did?
with our arms moving through the air
I've learned how precious and brief these things are

time has taught me quite a bit on Earth
nothing's the same and everything's the same

I can savor your smell.

Aurora, it's become a little easier to see you go
