They may have better options, they just refuse to use them. There are clearly people better qualified than MTG to wag the dog but she is so talentless she could never be a threat. If they put somebody with talent in front of a few million pissed off people they might get some ideas. Or at least be smart enough to realize that appealing directly to whites would get them power.
