An insurrection is an attempt to overthrow an existing government.
In 1776, the American States said they were leaving. They did not attempt to overthrow the Crown.
In 1860, seven states left the Union. They did not attempt to overthrow the United States.
In 1964 the POTUS was murdered in an insurrection.
Humor is all good and fun but when people misuse words they become a 'fact.'
