Nostr is going all right. It has single sign on which is a nice feature for making apps and portable (nomadic) identity which prevents a degree of lock-in. Nostr is still small compared to the fediverse, which is also growing faster. The main thing with nostr is that developers have a lot of freedom to create and it's an outlet for creativity. The vibe on nostr is better than many think. On privacy, quite a few issues remain, some care more, some less, but a few of us are fighting for more privacy aware solutions. It can be tough at times. Overall, it's a feature rich dev environment, that hopefully will have increasing connection to the larger fediverse.
