Would it even be possible to use a "modern" computer/OS like we did in the '80s-90s? You turn it on in the morning after breakfast & newspaper. Churns a bit then ready. You do some work. Break for lunch. Time for Internet, dial up (turn on the wifi/plug in ethernet), read email & forums (fedi, lemmy, IRC, not USENET & IRC). Then turn the cursed thing off, and go do anything else, not stare at a monitor (no more CRT whine, except my tinnitus is the same).
Is that even legal now?
