Coffee was spilled on my Macbook Air M2 15".
I'm not going to lay blame. It was an accident. But by the time I got to the scene, about 60 seconds had passed, and the damage was done.
I do have AppleCare+ for it, but after dropping the computer off at an Apple service centre yesterday, I have to pay the $379 (Canada) rate for liquid damage to main body. They are going to basically replace everything below the screen, except for the fans (I didn't think the MBA 15" M2 had fans?). Logic board, keyboard, trackpad, battery, touch id, cpu, memory, ssd, top case, the works. Surprised they aren't just swapping it for a new MBA.
Very expensive cup of coffee.
But I guess it could have been worse if I didn't have AppleCare+.
Makes me wonder why Apple can't make a IP rated water resistant notebook computer.
