Once again I'm writing a shell script to workaround something that's broken/inconsistent with Canonical...
It's kinda pointless saying you support cloud-init, when a different cloud-init file has to be created for different releases....
Stupid me thinking the very simple ones I had for 22.04 would work with 24.04...
Basically for cloud images I've given up relying on Canonical's utter shitshow of cloud-init support, and use vert-customize to bootstrap it (network and SSH keys) and then throw ansible at it.
