The Israeli government doesn’t want the hostages back. If they did, they would not have killed their own by issuing the Hannibal Directive. They wanted the Palestinians out by any means necessary.
The U.S. vetoing the UN backed ceasefire is unsurprising. How many blood baths has the U.S. presided over in its history? American Indians, destruction of the South by Sherman, Japanese atomic and fire bombing, bombing German cities of no military value but to inflict terror(ism), Koreans, Vietnamese, Iraqis, now add Palestinians. Only question is who will be next.
Why do innocent people have to pay for the crimes of their rulers? Bring back duels and have the leaders fight to their death instead of every one else’s.
