I prefer the aesthetics of the 280s and the inline 6....to the angular lines popular in the 80s of the 300ZX and the V6 engine that it had.
Interestingly enough I would drive a later version of that V6 engine in the 4th gen. late 90s Nissan Maxima. That Nissan 3.0L V6 engine was on Wards 10 best for over 10 years.
I still have later version of it in the 3.3L V6 (just slightly bored out cylinders for increased displacement) in my 2003 Nissan Frontier 4x4 truck.
