Lynette your bank account is a cbdc, there is almost nothing none digitally-controlled about it, it can be freez, inflate, confiscate if you say the wrong things. Bitcoin is not the beginning of digital currencies it is the fix to the hard money problem we all face. You may be selling gold as an alternative it may work within your borders if you want to stay in your house making youtube videos eating burgers but you won't be able to take it anywhere outside your country without getting it confiscated. Bitcoin is limited in supply and verifiable, you can teleport it anywhere around the world without an ID, that's the difference.
