It’s crazy to me how many people [confidently] assume that those who don’t believe in God™️ simply replaced His presence in their lives with something else
I can understand why you might think that, if you believe with all your heart that your religion is the “right” one, and your whole life has been a series of events that all serve to galvanize those beliefs, either directly or in ‘mysterious ways’
But as such i think you also should try to see the perspective of just… not believing it. There is nothing to replace!
I don’t mean to offend. I’ve just seen it implied or stated enough times that someone like me must be a hedonistic, murdering sociopath with no morals. If your religious beliefs are what stop *you* from being like that, wonderful - please definitely keep it up 😅
There are plenty of people out there who can do it on their own though.
Point is, me and you are two out of billions of flawed meatbags all miraculously stuck to the same hard parts of a large ball hurling through space, experiencing all sorts of thoughts and emotions while trying to find/keep mates and not die. So we might as well try to be nice or at least respect each others’ differences.
