You're fine. Usually I can tell sarcasm in text, but I'm not perfect at it.
So basically the program has no ability to say anything about it, but rather it would be up to the operating system to do so.

I know more than average about computers, although a bit less than my credentials should suggest. I've never thoroughly studied null pointer exceptions, or it's been so long I've forgotten.
